“Taylor is amazing! She followed our instructions to a T and was able to get our shy kitten to warm up to her while she was here. Very quick with communication and gave detailed updates. We will absolutely book again in the future- thank you!”

“If I could give Anthony 10 stars I would. He was AMAZING when looking after my pup. He was her walker/occasional sitter for 3-4 months and was incredible. My dog absolutely loved him and was so happy when I would get home after their walks. He gives detailed recaps of their activities and multiple pictures which definitely helped ease my mind while I was at work. I would recommend him to any person I know who is looking for a dog carer!”

“Rachael made our lives so much easier when she watched our pets. She went above and beyond to ensure they were cared for and nurtured while we were away. She provided excellent feedback and communication throughout her time with them. We are very pleased with her services.”

“Paul is great!! I first met Paul in passing, while he was providing services for another dog, Peach! Seeing how Paul interacted with the dog and what the other owner had to say about his services, I was immediately interested in using Paul when I needed it. He’s very kind and communicates very well! He puts the needs of the dog first and is very caring! His rover report card was great and he took lots of photos! Would recommend Paul to anyone ?”

“Brynn was absolutely awesome in taking care of our two kitties! This was our first time using Rover and Brynn made everything incredibly easy, always gave us updates, and made everything stress-free. I would recommend Brynn to anyone who wants their pets well taken care of while away!”

“Michelle was incredibly punctual, trustworthy, responsible, and attentive to care instructions. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care you gave our kitty while we were on vacation. We’ll definitely reach out again in the future if you’re available to look after Khelgar!”

“Kristin did a great job with my cat and handled the somewhat complicated instructions for getting into my apartment building perfectly! I appreciated her flexibility in accommodating timing needs as well.”

“Sabrina was great at watching my cat, Ollie! She gave detailed updates and sent the best pictures! I felt bad about leaving him for the holidays, but I was glad to have her popping in and keeping him company!”

“Katrin is so lovely. She’s very communicative, understanding and takes great care of our pretty grumpy senior cat. If she’s available, I always try and rebook with her.”

“Sarah and Ashleigh once again provided excellent care to Lorraine. Unfortunately, Lorraine had an upset stomach and had an accident inside but Sarah and Ashleigh let me know about the accident and dealt with it. I really appreciate how they handled Lorraine’s mishap and provided excellent care and sent lots of photos throughout. Can’t recommend them enough!”
“Kate went above and beyond with our old lady cat Willow who was diagnosed as diabetic right before our trip. We are so thankful that knew how to administer insulin. Kate also went through the trouble of picking up a follow up medication‘s from our vet. Our worries were allayed and she made it possible for us to enjoy our trip despite our worry about our cat. She was absolutely perfect for our situation and we will definitely be requesting her services again.”

“Blake is a wonderful caretaker! She gets great photos of my cat! She is flexible and reliable, and a great communicator. Makes it easy for me to relax when I am away from my kitty.”

Katrin did a great job watching our two cats while we were on vacation for a full week. At the meet and greet, the cats liked her right away and she asked great questions. During our trip, she sent cute pics and updates everyday and we came home to a tidy home and happy cats. Would definitely hire Katrin again!

Highly recommend Alexis! She took good care of my two needy kitties. Alexis is very easy to communicate with and responsive to our messages. We had multiple unexpected situations that needed her help: (1) my plants grew slower than expected and we couldn’t send them to our friends’ place so we asked Alexis to take extra care of them and they survived! (2) we had an unexpected large FedEx delivery that Alexis helped us put inside our apartment safely and securely. (3) our returning flight was delayed so we had to tell Alexis last minute to add extra food& water for the kitties and thankfully she checked the message and responded in time and our kittens didn’t need to starve! Very thankful for Alexis’ help so that we can travel without worry :)

Zoe was really great during the entire booking and drop-in process. Very communicative while booking and planning the visit & she let us know exactly when she arrived and left each drop-in. We got great pictures and updates about how the two cats were doing, and when we got home they were clearly well cared for and happy for the attention they got from Zoe while we were gone. Definitely recommend and will book again for our next trip!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
