About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres were a had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my 2 lovely current mutts. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a healthy dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly jogs and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. All training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

“Meredith was great staying with my cat and housesitting for 3 nights! I got regular updates, both pics and video, and I could tell she liked hanging out with him, which was nice. Came home to a clean house. Would definitely (and hope to!) book her again.”

“Erin was amazing!!! She communicated great and sent pictures of my sweet boy! He’s an older dog and has a lot of medications he takes daily and she gave them without any issues! She stayed at my house so my dog wouldn’t get anxious and uncomfortable while I was away. She even cleaned the floors before she left!! I would definitely book with her again and will refer her as a wonderful pet sitter!!!”

“I’d give her more stars if I could! Isabel did so wonderful when it came to dog sitting my two dogs - from sending me lots of pics to being extremely patient with my anxious girl. She gave them lots of play time and cuddle time and even slept with them :) I would recommend her to anyone - it was a relief to know she was caring for them while I was away!”

“Kay did a fabulous job of keeping Wally company while we were out for 3 days! I so appreciated her willingness to stay at our house and have a couple meet-and-greet visits before we were out. Her years of dog-sitting experience and the emergency situations she's navigated with other dogs gave me peace of mind that she could handle any situation that came up with Wally. Overall a great experience for our first time away from our puppy!”

“Gabby was kind enough to come stay with my pup for a long weekend on short notice! She checked in over the course of the weekend with photos and updates and eased my worries over leaving him :) Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with three dogs and volunteering weekly at the animal shelter. I’ve had big dogs and love them! I have also been the designated dog sitter in college among my friends as well as done some fostering. I used to train a lot of dogs as well at the shelter and have taken some courses in dog training. I’m very comfortable with all breeds and sizes! I’m currently taking a summer course and preparing for medical school! I have free afternoons and mostly free weekends. I’d love to hang out with your pets in my free time! I have a spacey apartment but can easily travel and spend time with your pets in your homes! I’m happy to sit there in their company while doing work and give them lots of love or bring them for lengthy walks nearby! I love being active with pets if needed!

About: I've taken care of dogs my whole life as I grew up with them, and habitually house sat and walked dogs since graduating from Duke 5 years ago! I'm currently in graduate school so I have a flexible schedule for caring for your pets as needed, whether it be walks or feeding or just spending good quality time! As a medical student and former teacher, personal responsibility is something I am very familiar with. I am reliable and promise to send plenty of pictures of your pets while they are in my care!

She is always fun and happy to see the animals and makes it a great time for them. She is punctual, a hard worker and great at self delegating. I would entrust her to care for my own pets any time and have relied on her to do so on many occasions. I have no doubt she would be a vital addition to your team if given the chance.”
