I work from home most of the time as an artist and occasional nights at Duke and UNC as an educator. My neighborhood is quiet and very walkable, great for long or brief strolls with pups. I have a 3 bedroom home where my orange tabby cat Fiesta and my Kelpie/hound mix dog Leon get along with the animals I welcome into our space. My twelve year old son loves animals and has always had them in his life, as I have.

I offer daycare stays, overnight sitting in my home, housesitting and pet care in your home, and walks as needed. If your pet stays in my home they will have frequent strolls and playtimes, and you can expect regular photo updates! Note that for daycare services in my home or yours, I am home *most* of the day, but cannot be home every hour to provide constant care. Please inquire about constant care services if those are needed. Please note that for overnight care whether in my home or yours, I do not permit pets in bed with me. If they are disruptive I will keep them out of the bedroom if possible. This is so that I can sleep, function fully the next day, and give them the best possible care.

Information Megan C. would like to know about your pet

It’s helpful to know what your dog likes and dislikes, how often they are used to going out, and any medical or behavioral needs they may have. It’s important that your dog not be aggressive with cats and that they get along well with children and other dogs if they are staying at my home. I am happy to come to them in your home if those are concerns.

A typical day

Morning and evening strolls, fetch, belly rubs and treats, so much attention, dance parties in the living room if they are into that kind of thing

Pet care experience

I believe animals pick up on the energy of the humans around them, and I want to be a place of fun and safety to them while their humans are away. I have continuously shared my home with both cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was a very young child. I have experience caring for not just dogs and cats but also reptiles, goats, llamas, and birds as well. I have experience with administering subcutaneous fluids for felines with kidney issues as well as administering medications. Every creature is unique, so please let me know what makes your animal companion happy and I will do my best to meet their needs and fulfill your requests.

Megan was great, our animals had a sweet time and she left the house in good shape. Will definitely use her services again!

Megan is everything you want in a sitter — professional, responsible, and a true animal lover. She cared for our small senior dog like she was her own and went above and beyond to coax her outside even though she’s been quite stubborn about leaving the house in her old age! I was able to have complete peace of mind when I was traveling knowing that Megan was caring for Kishke and taking care of our home. I feel fortunate to have found someone so trustworthy and we plan to use Megan on a regular basis from now on. Thank you Megan!

Megan is a terrific house-sitter and caretaker for my precious Batman. Megan goes above and beyond and ensures my cat has quality care when I am away. I am lucky to have had her as my go-to sitter on Rover
