“Brynn came through for my wife and I on short notice to walk our dogs. We setup a meet and greet less than 24hrs after initial contact which helped a ton. The pups had a great walk on multiple days... We will definitely be contacting Brynn in the future for all of our dog walking/sitting needs!”

“Dana is a life-saver! She took great care of my two young labs with medical needs the first time I had to leave them home alone. She was very communicative, easy to work with, and went the extra mile to keep the boys safe and happy. Knowing that she was checking on them gave me peace of mind while I had to be away.”

About: Hello! My name is Ayana, and I’m 25 years old. I have a passion for working with animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently work professionally in a dog daycare/boarding environment, where I spend my days caring for dogs in group play settings, monitoring behavior, supporting enrichment activities, and making sure every pup stays safe and has fun! I’ve had animals by my side for as long as I can remember and currently have a kitten of my own who completely runs the household. I also have a senior cat who still lives with my mom and will forever be my first baby. Through both personal and professional experience, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, attentive, and genuinely caring to look after your pets. At this time, I’m offering dog walks and drop-in visits. My work schedule can vary week to week, so I keep my Rover calendar updated regularly to reflect my availability. I can’t wait to meet your pets, learn all their little quirks and personalities, and give them lots of love and attention while you’re away! I plan on providing for your pet as if they were my own while still following all your wants and needs. I will make sure to send pictures and updates!
“Sophie is so kind and professional Maya loves her walks with Sophie and completely adapted to being with her. I'd have no hesitation recommending Sophie for anyone who needs help taking care of their pups.”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have experience caring for both big dogs, small dogs, and cats. Back home in Tennessee, I have 2 Yorkies and a Goldendoodle, and I’ve also helped neighbors, friends, and family care for their pets over the years. I’m patient, dependable, and love making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to work around your pet’s specific needs and routine. I typically work mornings during the week and am usually home by mid afternoon, but I can adjust my schedule as needed for walks, potty breaks, feedings, playtime, and medication schedules. I make it a priority to give pets plenty of attention, consistency, and companionship so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I always do my best to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while in my care. I pay close attention to each pet’s normal routine, energy level, feeding schedule, and any special instructions so they can stay as stress free as possible. I’m experienced with walks, potty breaks, playtime, crating if needed, and giving pets space when they need it. I also make sure owners stay updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are being well cared for.
“Taylor gets an A++ for exceeding my expectations. I've been the only one to walk Andy in the year I've had him, but he took right to Taylor when she came in. They had a great walk together. She's had lots of experience with all kinds of dogs of various behaviors and personalities and she obviously knows what she's doing. She asked me all the right questions and was super vigilant with Andy.”

“Amy did a great job walking our energetic dog, Celeste! It was clear that Celeste had a great time and that Amy made sure that she was well-cared for while we were away. Amy had great communication with us and shared regular updates and great photos. We are also very grateful because she was able to accommodate us with a last-minute booking when our previous dog-care plans fell through. Would definitely recommend Amy to anyone looking for a good dog-walker!”

About: A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home! Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!) My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it. I almost always have more than one dog at a time, so yours needs to be dog-friendly or at least dog-tolerant. I also have twin 11-year-olds—both great with dogs, but yours should not be kid-reactive.

Also took care of my incontinent dog who lived to 17 will gladly take the burden off your shoulders. About: Hi! I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, whether it's taking them on walks, playing with them, or simply keeping them company. I'm a dependable and compassionate pet lover who enjoys getting to know each dog's unique personality so I can provide care that's tailored to their needs. My goal is always to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I'm currently a full-time graduate student, which gives me a flexible schedule. I have availability during the mornings and afternoons, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care that fits your pet's routine. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, or companionship, I'm happy to accommodate their needs whenever possible. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any specific care instructions so they feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. While I'm taking them on a walk, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while maintaining their normal routine.
“Sriya is so patient with Barney's "quirks". She not afraid to step in for him to get to know her and is firm when she needs to be. So thankful to find a walker/pet sitter willing to work slow in gaining his trust!”

“Heather has been a great walker for my pup! She always takes good care of her and sends pics and updates. I especially appreciate how often she’s been able to come through on last minute requests.”

“Daniel did a great job walking our dog Appa on a short notice request! He was on time and very confident with our pup. He brought his own dog on the walk too and Appa seemed to really enjoy her company! He sent photos and listened to our request to let her stop to sniff often since she’s a big sniffer.”

“Thomas was great, easy to communicate with, punctual in all dog walks, and our dogs seemed to be very content/happy. He reported his walks with pictures so we could see how our pups were doing each day. Would and hope to use him again. Thank you Thomas for your great care for Isabelle and Basil.”

Lydia Rose has been amazing with my dog Rio! Rio can be a handful, as she’s anxious and pulls hard on the leash and escaped every chance she gets. I’m usually nervous to let others care for her since she is an escape artist, but Lydia Rose has been absolutely amazing and always makes sure to post lots of pictures and give sweet updates. I feel super comfortable letting her care for my high-maintenance pup! I will absolutely be booking with her again!

Alani and her crew were super friendly and loving towards Mallory. Our meet and greet went great, and they were on time to take Mal out for a walk and spent some good quality time with her. Lots of sweet pictures and good vibes were sent during the visit. Alani is super chill and professional, and I'll be booking again so they can spend some time with Mal and help out our family.

Truly the best! Cleo was very communicative sharing updates and the best pictures, my husband and I felt very comfortable leaving our 6 month old energy filled pup in her hands, you could tell she genuinely cares which means a lot, we are so grateful we found her! We highly recommend(:

Couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of our pup, Camil was very communicative, trust worthy, and very caring. Picking up on small habits we forgot to mention (like her love of sticks) it was clear when would get home from work that she was getting lots of love and exercise from her afternoon walks. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was safe, happy, and well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
