About: I grew up with Freckles the Corgi ☺️ and have basically been picking up dog poop since elementary school. I’ve cared for everything from mellow seniors to anxious puppies—including one memorable night when a dog I was watching got sick at 3 a.m., and I made sure she was okay, cleaned up the carpet, and calmed her down before heading back to bed. I miss having a dog around (though these days I often look after my mom’s dog, Mabel), so you can count on your pup getting plenty of love, attention, and playtime. I’m patient, dependable, and used to every energy level—I run marathons, so even your most zoomie-prone puppy won’t wear me out 😂 My schedule is more or less wide open these days, so I can usually accommodate last-minute requests, odd hours, and give your dog plenty of attention When I’m caring for dogs in someone’s home, I stay mindful of the space and boundaries you’ve set—doing my best to leave no trace and closely follow your instructions. I’ve spent a lot of time around dogs and have gotten good at reading what they need, so I’ll be attentive to their mood and make sure they get the care, comfort, and companionship they deserve.

About: After growing up with cats and dogs all my life, I have a special place for them in my heart. I now have two cats of my own that I love to spoil and care for. I have experience walking and checking on neighbors' dogs as well as house/pet sitting overnight. I have experience working with a wide range of cats and dogs - from kittens and puppies to senior pets. Depending on your dog's personality and interests, possible activities include playing at dog parks, walking through the neighborhood, or relaxing in the backyard. About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres where I had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

About: I've been caring for dogs since 2014, when my family welcomed our own dog into our home. Because he was reactive around other dogs, I gained firsthand experience with consistent training, patience, and understanding canine behavior. Through structured training and positive reinforcement, I watched him become much calmer and more confident around other dogs, which taught me the importance of tailoring care to each dog's unique personality and needs. I've also fostered a puppy, giving me experience with younger dogs and the extra attention, playtime, and consistency they require. I love keeping dogs active by taking them on long walks and hikes, exploring new trails and neighborhoods while making sure they get plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. Whether your dog enjoys an adventure outdoors or prefers a slower-paced stroll, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while they're with me. I am currently a graduate student at Duke University, so I will have flexible time for your pup's needs! I am free all day on weekends, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday after 12pm, Thursday after 1:30pm. I am available to walk dogs during the day and typically enjoy local hikes around Eno State park. Your dog's safety is my absolute priority. During walks, I always keep dogs securely leashed unless we're in a designated off-leash area with the owner's permission. Since I have experience with reactive dogs, I stay alert of our surroundings and will avoid situations that may be stressful for dogs. When caring for pets at your home, my rule is to treat your home and dog as I would treat mine. This includes following feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and respecting house guidelines. I also make sure pets have plenty of attention, playtime, enrichment, and bathroom breaks. As an attentive dog owner myself, I understand the need for peace of mind while you're away. I provide regular updates and photos to keep you informed about how your pet is doing. My intention is to make sure your pup is happy, safe, and healthy while you are apart.

About: Hello! My name is Ayana, and I’m 25 years old. I have a passion for working with animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently work professionally in a dog daycare/boarding environment, where I spend my days caring for dogs in group play settings, monitoring behavior, supporting enrichment activities, and making sure every pup stays safe and has fun! I’ve had animals by my side for as long as I can remember and currently have a kitten of my own who completely runs the household. I also have a senior cat who still lives with my mom and will forever be my first baby. About: A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home! Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!) My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it. I almost always have more than one dog at a time, so yours needs to be dog-friendly or at least dog-tolerant. I also have twin 11-year-olds—both great with dogs, but yours should not be kid-reactive.
