“Alyson was able to accommodate a last-minute booking for my dog, which I really appreciated! She was punctual, had good communication, sent me an update with a photo, and Tallulah loved her walk! A great experience and I will definitely book with her again.”

About: I have 5 cats of my own as well as a small dog, and I cherish all animals. I have been petsitting for family and friends since I was about 10, and am flexibly available to take care of your babies when you need. I'm a high-school senior about to graduate, so during the summer I will have plenty of free time to devote to taking care of your animals! I will do anything requested of me regarding caring for your pets in your home, including keeping them company, going on walks, and giving them plenty of love.
“Sarah was great with Hank! She was super calm and helpful even though Hank was anxious at first. Now they’re good buds! Sarah was super responsive and sent lots of good pictures.”

About: Hi! My name is Brooke. I am a Traveling Physical Therapist with some time to spare and would love to fill my free time with all the dog love I can get! I have gravitated towards dogs ever since my family got one of our own, and now I can always be found with a dog at social gatherings. I love to tire dogs out with fetch or tug-of-war just as much as I love to cuddle up and give belly rubs! Watching or walking your dog would be just as enjoyable for me as it will your pup, so thank you in advance! I look forward to making many new local dog friends. I am currently waiting to start a contract in Durham for Physical Therapy but until then, I am fully free to love on your pet!! I treat everyone’s home as if it were my own and make sure it is always left in mint condition! I also will clean any pet mess if there happened to be one.
“Heather has been a great walker for my pup! She always takes good care of her and sends pics and updates. I especially appreciate how often she’s been able to come through on last minute requests.”

About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres where I had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have experience caring for both big dogs, small dogs, and cats. Back home in Tennessee, I have 2 Yorkies and a Goldendoodle, and I’ve also helped neighbors, friends, and family care for their pets over the years. I’m patient, dependable, and love making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to work around your pet’s specific needs and routine. I typically work mornings during the week and am usually home by mid afternoon, but I can adjust my schedule as needed for walks, potty breaks, feedings, playtime, and medication schedules. I make it a priority to give pets plenty of attention, consistency, and companionship so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I always do my best to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while in my care. I pay close attention to each pet’s normal routine, energy level, feeding schedule, and any special instructions so they can stay as stress free as possible. I’m experienced with walks, potty breaks, playtime, crating if needed, and giving pets space when they need it. I also make sure owners stay updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are being well cared for.
“So thankful Randy was able to walk our pups. I'll be reaching out again if I go out of town. Was communicative and friendly, followed instructions, and was great with the pups.”

“Bell is reliable, attentive, friendly, and my dog loved her! He is a fearful and sometimes stubborn baby, she was able to get him out for walks on the first visit when it has often taken people multiple times to get to that point. She was very quick and thorough in her responses and put me at ease that my pup would be okay while I was out of town. We will definitely consider her again in the future!”

About: I’ve lived with or taken care of dogs since I was young. More than 20 years! We adopted our family dog,Thompson, who was a chow mix, from Animal Control when he was 2-3 years old. He was with us for over 10 years. In the past 6 months, I’ve done house and pet sitting for 2 pit bulls at one home, a a feisty cockapoo at another, as well as stayed with an elderly yellow lab and her feline roommate. I’ve helped with the 2 latter owners several times. I’m semi-retired, and when I have a contract I work from home. Other than spending time and taking care of my cat, Owl, I can be available as my schedule allows. My cat, Owl, is an indoor only cat. I prefer to help out at the owner’s home. Owl is very shy and gets anxious around animals he doesn’t know.

About: I grew up living with dogs and have consistently dog/house sat for friends and family for over a decade. I'm a recent PhD Graduate on the job hunt, so I can spend the days with you dog while working remotely I've pet sat throughout the past decade while working and during graduate school. I'm currently searching for a job, so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog during the day I prefer to care for the dog in the client's home. Your dog is already missing you, they will feel more comfortable with me if they are at home
About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life! My family had a wonderful mutt that arrived the same year that I was born, so he was essentially my puppy sibling. He has long passed away but I also have many years of experience dog sitting for my family and friends and can provide references. My current place won't let me have pets, so it will be awesome to get my fix by taking care of your wonderful dogs! I can't wait to meet them. I have a full time Monday-Friday job, but I am available on weekends, and after 5:30 during the week. I can be flexible, and try to accommodate your ad your pet's needs! Safety is my first priority. I will never have company or even food delivery inside of your home, and will never provide your address to anyone else, unless it is an emergency, in which case I will contact you directly first and get your permission to call my emergency contact (my mother)! I will make sure I feed and walk your dogs(s) consistently, and of course play with them and give them attention while you are away. I do not mind doing light housework, and I am comfortable with sitting for more than one dog.
About: Caring for animals has been a regular part of my life for years. During college, I walked dogs several times a week, and I’ve spent years pet sitting for family friends with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’ve also cared for my sister’s dog for several weeks at a time while she traveled internationally, so I’m comfortable with both daily walks and longer-term stays. While in graduate school at Duke, I also cat sat for several friends, giving me experience caring for cats with different personalities and routines. I’m confident with both large and small dogs and understand that every pet has unique needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, your cat prefers quiet companionship, or your pet simply needs someone dependable to stick to their routine, I take the time to earn their trust and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Outside of pet care, I’m completing hospital chaplaincy training while preparing for ordained ministry. That work has strengthened qualities that carry over naturally into caring for animals, such as patience, attentiveness, reliability, and remaining calm in new situations. I know how important it is to trust someone with a beloved pet, and I’ll care for yours with the same thoughtfulness and respect that I’d want for my own. I’m currently completing hospital chaplaincy training and working part-time at a local church, so I value being organized and dependable with my schedule. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and intentionally make time for each week. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routine and making sure they receive plenty of attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to maintain the routine they’re already comfortable with. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible while you’re away. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and adjust my care to their needs, whether that means an energetic walk, playtime, or simply providing calm companionship. I also believe communication is an important part of great pet care. I can send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every home with respect, leaving it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Braggtown
Truly the best! Cleo was very communicative sharing updates and the best pictures, my husband and I felt very comfortable leaving our 6 month old energy filled pup in her hands, you could tell she genuinely cares which means a lot, we are so grateful we found her! We highly recommend(:

Couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of our pup, Camil was very communicative, trust worthy, and very caring. Picking up on small habits we forgot to mention (like her love of sticks) it was clear when would get home from work that she was getting lots of love and exercise from her afternoon walks. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was safe, happy, and well cared for.

Claire patiently and gently built trust with our recently rescued, young husky, Wheeler, who can be apprehensive with some people. She showed equal patience and skill walking this often stubborn teenager who can slow down a walk by obsessing over acorns and rolling around in grass. Claire is also a great communicator and shared many photos of their walk. She went the mile by setting Wheeler up with his beloved peanut butter kong treat in his kennel as requested. It was a relief to know he was in her care.

Arwen was super sweet and patient with Mallory! She showed up on time and spent the bulk of her time outside with Mal even on a super chilly day. She made me feel comfortable during our meet and greet that she could match Mallory's vibe while out on a walk whether that was logging a mile or two or just stopping and sniffing nature.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
