About: I have been around dogs my whole life. Dogs seem to take to me well. I’ve worked as a junior groomer for a few months and trained my own dog. Not professionally, but he listens and understands. I’ve always loved dogs and been an animal person! I have an almost 4 month old baby so I have been a SAHM. I love to work and would like to help my family more. This way I can be at home loving on my son and also your fur babies! We just moved into our forever home due to my husband being retired Navy. We got married in Hawaii where he was stationed and I grew up. Our neighborhood was military and I would watch peoples dogs, board, check ins, walks. I worked at a doggie daycare and became close with a client who would bring her dog over to me to watch instead. Also, became very close with some people in the neighborhood whom I’ve take care of their dogs and now can say are friends like family!

About: I’m a licensed attorney and an animal lover at heart. I grew up surrounded by animals, in a home with a dog and four cats. I have cared for a multitude of pets over the years, and my husband and I currently have two cats of our own. I also have 3 years of volunteer experience at a no-kill animal shelter, and am comfortable giving medications and handling any special health or behavioral needs. I have experience caring for dogs that require frequent potty breaks due to age or medical condition; as well as those with Arthritis, recovering injuries, or other mobility concerns. Similarly, I have cared for cats of all ages and temperaments, including those with medical vulnerabilities (seizures, kidney disease, cancer, incontinence issues). I have also worked with former ferals, and am happy to care for those who may be especially shy or anxious around unfamiliar faces and disrupted routines. I understand how vital it is to have someone you genuinely trust look after your pets in your absence. Pets really do become members of your family, and their care should always reflect that. I value reliability and communication, and strive to provide the upmost care. I’m very detailed oriented and always welcome and encourage any special instructions or requests you may have. I will take note and ensure your desires are fulfilled. Let me know what I can do to make your time away more comfortable. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! I work fully remote, so I have plenty of flexibility when caring for your pets. I update my calendar frequently, and am happy to work with your schedule. During housesits, I will make your home my base camp so pets will not be left alone for extended periods. I will be sure to communicate with you to ensure your expectations for drop in visits or house sitting are fully met. I’m here for any special care requests. I’ll check in after each drop-in session with plenty of photos of your pet and a rundown on the visit. I typically provide two updates mid-morning and evening each day while house sitting. I always include detailed information about your pet’s activity and behavior, along with lots of photos and videos documenting the day. However, I am happy to provide updates at your preferred frequency. I am always available and responsive during visits should you have any questions or requests.

I had a great experience with Kevin for walking Gazer! He always showed up exactly when scheduled, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Communication was excellent—he kept me updated before, during, and after each walk, and were very responsive to messages. I really appreciated his flexibility as well, especially when I needed to request additinal walks and adjust times on short notice. It made coordinating everything so much easier. One of my favorite parts was receiving photos from each walk—it was so reassuring to see Gazer happy enjlying his full 30 mins walks. I would absolutely recommend Kevin to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and caring dog walker!

About: I’ve pet sat my friends animals, and they’ve had so many! Senior dogs that have accidents and have behavioral issues. Exotic pets, of many kids. Every morning, I fill the cat and water bowl in my room, weekly I clean the bowls. For my dogs, whenever my parents don’t feed them cause they are out, I feed them and fill their water. I brush their coats, and try to give them baths every few weeks or so! However the pet parents would like, but I care for what is best for their health. I understand each pet is different and needs different things. I can bathe the animals depending on behavior, my right leg doesn't haven't as much feeling since surgery and cant handle a lot of big pressure.

About: I've taken care of both mine and my grandmother's animals for many years. I have experience caring for both young and senior cats and dogs, as well as staying overnight to care for animals. My family has had two dogs and three cats, and my grandmother has had one dog and three cats. I have very open availability so I will be able to housesit or drop by to take care of your pet anytime. For housesitting, I can stay overnight and most of the day, but I will leave sometimes during the day to go home and freshen up. I won't leave for more than two hours. I am very accommodating for different personalities. If your pet loves to cuddle up, perfect! If they want some space to get used to me, they've got it! I'm used to working with animals to adapt to what they are most comfortable with.

About: I grew up with my dad's chocolate lab and my mother's Westie mix. Two totally different personalities and each wonderful in their own ways. My favorite way to connect with your pet will be play, but I also love finding the places that a pupper loves to be rubbed, patted, or pet. Let me know what your special pupper likes and dislikes and I will do my best to care for them like I would my own baby. Be sure to let me know about special commands or particular care that your precious bb needs. Thanks and good luck in your pet care search! I currently have an open schedule and am available almost every day. I do request to have one of two evenings to myself, Sunday or Thursday, where I'm unavailable from 6:30-10pm. My number one concern will be that your pet is safe and happy. Let me know what routine and care (such as crating) your special bb needs and I will follow up with pictures and videos so you can be at ease knowing that your bb is happy and cared for.

About: I have loved dogs since before my parents finally fulfilled my Christmas wish for a puppy when I was five. Since then, dogs have been a constant in my life and a crucial source of joy and fulfillment. Over the last decade I embraced the adult side of dog love by regularly dog sitting for friends and family and eventually adopting a dog of my own. Dogs have always been one of the best parts of my life and I look forward to meeting yours! I don't have a formal dog training certification, but I think my dog Rafiki would gladly give me one. I adopted Rafiki 6 years ago and he is wonderful. His special talents include spinning his tail like a helicopter and being the first dog that 'non-dog-lovers' actually enjoy. He was not always such a dream though. When he was a puppy he had all sorts of terrible habits that I won't get into (RIP tv remotes, shoes, untoppled drinks). I decided that I needed some help with this adorable rambunctious puppy and signed him up for day camp training with a trainer in Durham. Every day when I picked him up, the trainer would spend 30 minutes to an hour teaching me how to work with Rafiki. He taught me a million things and really opened my eyes on how interact with dogs, how to read their body language, and how to best communicate with them. Though I’m no expert, I’d be happy to reinforce any training or problem-solving you’re working on with your pup. I am also happy to just spend some quality time together making sure their time away from you is fun, safe and enriching. I would love the chance to take your pup on some walks and adventures while giving you the peace of mind of knowing they are in good hands! I have a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for pet care. I like to stay active and enjoy hikes and walks with our furry friends. My dog is able to come in and out as he pleases. We have a fenced in yard (front and back) with plenty of room to play.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
