Longest I've kept one dog is for 2 weeks. I love taking care of dogs as if they were my own. Currently live in Durham, NC in my childhood home. I work from home, so I'm the perfect sitter that can entertain your dog while you're at work, away on vacay/trip, or just need some me time. I am a patient person and do have experience training a couple of dogs from not fearing their crate, knowing boundaries within house, and cease whining. I work from home Monday-Friday from 8-4:30 pm. I occasionally have appts and other events on the weekends, including attending church worship service. I'm at home the majority of the time. I have a pretty open concept in my house, but I close off doors to bedrooms and bathroom. I sometimes close off my hallway to keep in a secluded place in case of visitors or go to sleep at night. I take dogs out on leash, I currently do not have a fenced yard. I spend quality time with them and engage often and show plenty of love.
About: I have been around dogs my whole life. Dogs seem to take to me well. I’ve worked as a junior groomer for a few months and trained my own dog. Not professionally, but he listens and understands. I’ve always loved dogs and been an animal person! I have an almost 4 month old baby so I have been a SAHM. About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From my first mixed-breed pup in high school to raising my first Siberian Husky from just 3 months old, I've always loved caring for dogs. About: Have had at least 1 pet for over 25 years. Wife and I are recent empty nesters that went from having 4 cats and 2 dogs to a Lab and 1 cat when the last of our 4 kids moved out. I currently work from home, so your pet will have unlimited access to myself and my apartment while we stay together! As mentioned above, I love being active with pets, so whatever your animals outdoor needs are, Im sure that I can fill them! I have easy access to Duke's East Campus loop, the Trinity Park Neighborhood, and the Eno River state park for all play and exercise needs.
