About: About ten years ago, a friend of mine asked, "Jenny, do you think it's a coincidence that you love every cat you meet or are you going to admit you're a cat lady?" I didn't grow up with cats, so as an adult, when I was confronted with another cat in my friend group or dating partner, I found myself endlessly delighted by each of their quirks. Each cat I have come across seems to be unique, quirky, and alternately fastidious and charming. The one piece of advice a previous partner said that I've never forgotten is "Ru will tell you how she likes to be pet". And that piece of advice has proven its weight every time it's tested. I have a 9yo domestic short hair tabby of 9lbs and she's a precious sweetheart. Recently she's become an outdoor porch cat, which has delighted me as much as it has given me anxious pause every time she wanders where I can't see her. I have previous experience in house sitting a friend's 2 cats while they went on vacations. About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

About: I have loved dogs since before my parents finally fulfilled my Christmas wish for a puppy when I was five. Since then, dogs have been a constant in my life and a crucial source of joy and fulfillment. Over the last decade I embraced the adult side of dog love by regularly dog sitting for friends and family and eventually adopting a dog of my own. He was not always such a dream though. When he was a puppy he had all sorts of terrible habits that I won't get into (RIP tv remotes, shoes, untoppled drinks). I decided that I needed some help with this adorable rambunctious puppy and signed him up for day camp training with a trainer in Durham. Every day when I picked him up, the trainer would spend 30 minutes to an hour teaching me how to work with Rafiki. He taught me a million things and really opened my eyes on how interact with dogs, how to read their body language, and how to best communicate with them. Though I’m no expert, I’d be happy to reinforce any training or problem-solving you’re working on with your pup. I am also happy to just spend some quality time together making sure their time away from you is fun, safe and enriching. I would love the chance to take your pup on some walks and adventures while giving you the peace of mind of knowing they are in good hands! I have a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for pet care. I like to stay active and enjoy hikes and walks with our furry friends. My dog is able to come in and out as he pleases.
