About: Hi! My legal name is Diana, but I prefer to go by Joey. I grew up with pets of all kinds, and have been pet-sitting for over ten years. I began in my neighborhood when I was in middle school, and over the years, I became well-acquainted with my neighbors and their pets. Several continue to hire me to this day. I have experience with dogs, cats, and many exotic species. I'm particularly fond of reptiles and have a leopard gecko. I am patient and calm, so elderly and shy animals tend to do well with me. Respecting an animal's boundaries (while ensuring they are properly taken care of) is very important to me. When house-sitting, I spend the majority of my time in the client's home, prioritizing that pet's schedule while doing other drop-in visits during the day if possible. I offer drop-in visits and house-sitting at my client's home. I am very detail-oriented and read instructions before each job, regularly referencing them while getting to know the routine. Safety is very important to me, so for any pet visit, there are some basic protocols I follow. I do not use retractable leashes and keep a spare in my car in case a client does not have a standard leash.
