“Trevor was so caring and attentive of my babies! He was very respectful of them and their unique quirks and my home. He provided wonderful updates that truly gave me a ton of peace of mind while I was away. On top of great sitting service, he was willing to accept my last minute booking request as well as being available for a quick meet and greet. Truly a great sitter!!”

About: I've always had a love for dogs, and I treat every pet with the same patience, kindness, and care I'd want for my own. I have about two years of pet sitting experience, including caring for a rescued Doberman with high anxiety and fear-based behaviors. Through consistency, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement, I earned his trust and watched him become much more confident and less reactive. I also enjoy caring for senior dogs and understand that they often need a slower pace, extra attention, and plenty of affection. I'm experienced in giving oral medications, following detailed feeding schedules, and sticking to each pet's routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I only care for one client's pets at a time, so your dog will receive my full attention and personalized care. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with a loving companion, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make sure every pet in my care receives plenty of attention and love. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., so weekends are when I'm most available for boarding and pet sitting. During the week, I'm a great fit for dogs who are house-trained, comfortable being home while I'm at work, and able to hold their bladder until I return. I carefully follow each pet's feeding schedule, medication routine, and care instructions to keep their day as consistent as possible. On weekends, I'm usually home most of the day, giving me plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and even car rides for dogs who enjoy them. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy time outside to play, explore, or simply relax when the weather is nice. Inside, my home has a spacious living area that's perfect for playtime especially for dogs who get the zoomies! I always follow each owner's care instructions, including feeding schedules, medication, potty breaks, and any special routines. I take the time to get to know every dog's personality so they feel comfortable and secure in my home. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both your home and your pet's routine. I make every effort to keep their schedule as consistent as possible so they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you're away.
“Annalise was fantastic when caring for our cat, Billie Jean! We appreciate how kind, communicative, and fast to respond she was, and she took great care of our fur baby. Will definitely be booking with Annalise again!”

“Brittney took great care of our pittie, was very responsive and proactive in reaching out over text while we were gone, and was very attentive when our boy broke out due to allergies. I’d highly recommend!”

About: Grew up with multiple dogs of all sizes. Current proud father of two cats. Love walking and running so why not add a friend. As a firefighter I am looking to to help in any way I can on my days off! Full time fireman so I work an odd schedule. 24 hour shifts with 24 hours off in between. Built in with four days off in a row, so off days I am free all day! With lots of free time on my off days, I can easily travel to watch and check up on all pets. I stay pretty active so love adding walks and play with pets!
About: A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home! Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!) My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it. I almost always have more than one dog at a time, so yours needs to be dog-friendly or at least dog-tolerant. I also have twin 11-year-olds—both great with dogs, but yours should not be kid-reactive.
“Our babies loved Kim! She knew what they needed and went above and beyond for them. She also was very accomadating to our last minute request. We are so thankful she took such great care of our children!”

“Katrin took great care of our cat, Bodie, while we were out of town for the holidays. She was easy to communicate with and gave us plenty of pictures and updates - and even got our typically shy cat to play. Overall, it was a great experience and we felt at ease with her checking on our pet!”

“Kristin did a great job with my cat and handled the somewhat complicated instructions for getting into my apartment building perfectly! I appreciated her flexibility in accommodating timing needs as well.”

About: Like many pet parents, I often rely on friends, coworkers, and family to help check in on our fur babies when my wife and I travel for work. While that support is invaluable, it doesn’t always line up—and when it doesn’t, it can add unnecessary stress to an already busy trip. Because of this, I truly understand how challenging and stressful it can be to leave your pets behind. That’s why I offer reliable pet care services for fellow pet parents who travel frequently or simply need an extra helping hand. My services include check-ins, walking, and house sitting. At home, we have five cats: one 16-year-old geriatric grump and four energetic “crazies” ranging from 3–5 years old. Each has a unique personality, but all share a love for food and plenty of belly and head rubs. I specialize in cat care, as cats are often misunderstood as being “easy.” While some are, others require more attention and emotional support—something I know firsthand. Cats, like people, can experience separation anxiety, stress, and even depression when their routines change. My own cat, Chuck Roast, is a perfect example and always needs extra care when I travel. This has taught me how important it is to understand and respect each cat’s individual needs and personality. While cat care is my specialty, I also have experience caring for dogs. I’m always happy to meet you and your pets beforehand to make sure it’s a great fit and that everyone feels comfortable before moving forward. I know your pet is a cherished member of your family, and I promise to care for them with the same love, patience, and attention they deserve. I work out or RTP and have a very flexible schedule to support your pet care needs. Please reach out and let me know your unique needs. My rates are flexible. Always happy to discuss this to see how my services can help your needs. I work a pretty set schedule and am able to walk your pets, let them out to potty, do check-ins and feed them, or house sit at your place(dependent on my schedule and if I’m traveling for work)! If interested, we can see how I can help!
“Blake is a wonderful caretaker! She gets great photos of my cat! She is flexible and reliable, and a great communicator. Makes it easy for me to relax when I am away from my kitty.”

About: Dogs have been my whole world since I was four years old, and I've been actively caring for them since I was around ten. Now at 25, with over 15 years of hands-on experience, I know what it means to love a pet like family, not just as a pet, but as a real member of your life. I'm a proud fur-parent to Boogie, a rescue pup I adopted at four months old. He's two now, and watching him grow has only deepened how much I care about the life every dog deserves. It's something I think about a lot: our pets are experiencing everything for the very first time, and that's worth honoring. I also volunteer as a temporary foster with Hope Animal Rescue, which means I'm comfortable meeting animals exactly where they are, whether that's a nervous newcomer or a playful goofball who wants all the attention. I take every walk and drop-in seriously, because I know a mid-day break and a kind, familiar face can make a pet's whole day. My schedule is more flexible than it might look on paper. I work full-time in the office four days a week, typically wrapping up between 3:30 and 4, and I'm always happy to stop by before work, after work, or in between my jobs. I also work part-time some weekday evenings and weekends, but my hours shift week to week, so I'd rather just talk through what works for you and go from there. If you need someone reliable who's willing to figure it out, I'm your person. When you invite me into your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I'm tidy, mindful of your space, and will always leave things exactly as I found them. Your pet's routine matters too. I'll follow whatever instructions you leave, from feeding schedules to favorite toys to the walks they're used to. For walks, I keep a close eye on leash behavior and surroundings, and I'll never push a pet past their comfort zone. I know some dogs need a slow warm-up and others are ready to go the second the leash comes out, and I'm happy to meet them wherever they are that day. You can also expect regular updates while I'm with your pet. I'm happy to send a photo, a quick message, whatever gives you peace of mind while you're away. I know handing over a key and trusting someone with your animal is a big deal, and I don't take that lightly.
“Scarlett did an amazing job with my cat. She took great photos, and I could tell my cat was smitten since they had lap time from the first visit. Definitely will hire Scarlett again going forward.”
“Kim was so great with our three cats! She provided really thorough updates and lots of photos as a part of her visits. Kim went above and beyond on communication and care for the cats!”

“Alani and Erica were very kind, thorough and communicative. They took great care of our cats, sent lots of photos and updates, and even got our grumpy guy to warm up to them quickly! I definitely would recommend them and will book again.”

“I wish I could leave 10 statrs because she deserves it. I've never used this app and she was the first Individual I hired. Constant updates with pictures and descriptions of the visit that made us laugh out loud. Sam went above and beyond to ensure they had water, sweep up their poop motel (Litter Robot) and actually spend time with my babies. She is amazing and I was able to tell my family about the app as well. Thank you Sam for everything, you're always welcomed in our home.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Joyland
We had to make a last minute change for cat sitting - we chose Trevor! And, glad we did. He was able to come over straight away and get the run down on our 2 cats. He asked all the right questions, and better yet, he showed up every day and provided thorough updates. His kindness was a perk! Pick Trevor😻🐕🦺

Ally did a great job taking care of our cats! She was communicative, reliable, on time, and took great care of everything while we were away. She also sent the cutest photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We'd definitely book with her again!

Cameron took wonderful care of our cats while we were away. He was kind, gentle, and incredibly thoughtful with them. He spent quality time playing with them and kept us updated every day with photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our cats are naturally shy, but Cameron was patient and let them warm up at their own pace, it was amazing to see that they had opened up to him within just two days. Beyond being fantastic with pets, Cameron is also a genuinely pleasant person to talk to. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would happily book him again!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Joyland. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
