About: A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home! Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!) My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it. I almost always have more than one dog at a time, so yours needs to be dog-friendly or at least dog-tolerant. I also have twin 11-year-olds—both great with dogs, but yours should not be kid-reactive.

About: I have had pets all my life, they have always been part of my family, and I truly value their importance. I love giving them a safe, comfortable, and loving space. I have free afternoons and evenings on weekdays after work, and I’m fully available on weekends. My husband/partner works from home on some days, so your dog will rarely be alone. I truly enjoy having company, and I’m used to walking three times every day with them. Your dog will be free to move around my entire home. At night, I have a designated open space for their bed, food, water and toys that is connected to the living room, so they are always part of the home environment (shown in the attached photos). But if he/she prefers, the living room is also available always 🐾 Just a few steps from my home, there’s a quiet, pet-friendly, low-traffic area that’s perfect for walks, as well as a park just a few streets away. If you’re comfortable with it, we can also take him/her to a nearby trail or park. I enjoy walking and running, and when your dog arrives, we start with a walk to help him/her feel comfortable and get to know each other.
