Longest I've kept one dog is for 2 weeks. I love taking care of dogs as if they were my own. Currently live in Durham, NC in my childhood home. I work from home, so I'm the perfect sitter that can entertain your dog while you're at work, away on vacay/trip, or just need some me time. I am a patient person and do have experience training a couple of dogs from not fearing their crate, knowing boundaries within house, and cease whining. I work from home Monday-Friday from 8-4:30 pm. I occasionally have appts and other events on the weekends, including attending church worship service. I'm at home the majority of the time. I have a pretty open concept in my house, but I close off doors to bedrooms and bathroom. I sometimes close off my hallway to keep in a secluded place in case of visitors or go to sleep at night. I take dogs out on leash, I currently do not have a fenced yard. I spend quality time with them and engage often and show plenty of love.

About: A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home! Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!) My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it. I almost always have more than one dog at a time, so yours needs to be dog-friendly or at least dog-tolerant. I also have twin 11-year-olds—both great with dogs, but yours should not be kid-reactive.
About: I’ve grown up with cats and animals, even helped my own cat give birth (covid times) and currently have 2 cats of my own. I’ve taken care of larger dogs as well, sweet pit bulls are my favorite! I am accommodating and love meeting new people and animals. I’m available to care for animals on extended weekends and weekdays if needed. I am located in downtown Durham and can access your pets quickly if needed. My schedule is very flexible and I am punctual. I love playing with my 2 cats and parent’s dog as I believe playtime is important for stimulation. When I can’t take them on a walk, I find ways to stimulate them, such as indoor blanket puzzles and toy play! I can accommodate each animal per their needs.
About: Most of my experience is with dogs of friends or co-workers. I generally keep their dogs at their place where they are most comfortable and take them out frequently for walks/runs or whatever they'd like to do. So long as the dog is house trained and not on the "forbidden breed list" at the apartments I stay, they are welcome to my home too. I've sat a Pointer/Dalmation mix, Maltese mix, Shepherd mix, Chow Chow, Boxer, Cane Corso, and 2 Weimaraners in the past. My fulltime job is a nurse, and I only work 36 hours a week. I have a laid back personality and dogs tend to take to me immediately or at least stay true to their breeds. As a firefighter I am looking to to help in any way I can on my days off! Full time fireman so I work an odd schedule. 24 hour shifts with 24 hours off in between. “Titan had a fantastic time with Teri! I was so nervous to leave my old, quirky pup when I left the country but that fear quickly went away when I met Teri and throughout Titan’s stay. He loved her backyard and all the attention he got and was very comfortable there and will definitely be a repeat visitor when I need a doggy sitter!”
