Animal Health and Science Graduate
I have been the primary caretaker for dozens of species of animals starting when I was just ten years old. I have worked in veterinary care, trained dogs in competition obedience, have trained assistance animals, and recently graduated from VT with a degree in animal science with a focus on companion and small mammal health, medicine, and management.

Schedule
I currently work full time at an animal rescue and sanctuary. Most days (but not all) I work 8-4 but am more than willing to stop in at any time around my work schedule even if it means waking up early to stop by before work!!

I try to cater my care as much as possible to each pet’s individual personality. I know every pet has a different comfort level around strangers and I am very conscious about respecting how much (or how little) personal space and gentle calm animal needs as I care for them.

A typical day
I understand and appreciate the importance of both physical and mental stimulation for animals. I enjoy not only taking dogs on walks or playing with them to get them some exercise, but also learning how to mentally enrich their days, be it allow them some extra time to sniff around outside, or even doing some practice with any tricks they know.
