“Jerrica was amazing with my pup! She took the time to ask questions and learn about his routine to ensure he and I were both comfortable. She was always right on time for visits and showed so much care and patience with him. My dog was given lots of cuddles and love and I’m so happy I found such a trust worthy and caring sitter for him. We will absolutely be using Jerrica’s services again and again.”

“Miki is the best! Without hesitation she was willing to work with my specific needs with my dog and was so dog smart and lovely :) I look forward to her taking care of Lucia in the future”

“Emily did a fantastic job taking care of our two particular fur babies! She was prompt in responses, reached out with any questions she had, and most importantly our cats loved her (based on the great photos she sent us)!! I would 100 percent recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who clearly loves animals!”

“She cares and cares hard. My geriatric dogs love her. Flexible, patient, intuitive, and kind. Never fails to give an update and is genuinely happy to do so. Your pets are in great hands.”

About: I've been pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family since I was 16 and have been around dogs my entire life. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and other pets of all ages and personalities. I have volunteered with animal rescues since I was 12, fostered numerous dogs and cats, and am comfortable providing basic medical care, including oral medications, eye drops, injections, and subcutaneous fluids when needed. I treat every pet like my own and focus on keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable while you're away. Whether your pet needs lots of playtime, extra patience, or specialized care, I'm dependable, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I'm currently taking online classes during the summer, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pets. In the fall I will be returning to in person classes, however my schedule will still allow me to be a reliable care giver for your pets and satisfy all of their needs! I understand that trusting someone with your pets and home is a big decision. I treat every home with respect and follow your pets routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable while you're away. I am experienced in administering oral medications, eye drops, some injections, and fluids when needed. Whether your pet loves to play, needs extra patience, or requires special care, I'll provide reliable, attentive care and keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit.
“Laura did a great job watching my cat, Sterling! Sterling can be wary of new people and anxious, and this was my first time traveling since she started taking medication. Laura was very patient with her, and even came up with some creative ways to get her to take the meds! She also always provided detailed visit notes and photos. Definitely recommend having Laura as a pet sitter!”

“Michelle was incredibly punctual, trustworthy, responsible, and attentive to care instructions. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care you gave our kitty while we were on vacation. We’ll definitely reach out again in the future if you’re available to look after Khelgar!”

“Joy took wonderful care of our cats while away. We enjoyed really cute pictures and videos and hope to have her take care of them again next time we're out of town 🙂 Thanks Joy!”

About: Since I was little, I've been caring for animals ranging from dogs and cats to fish and guinea pigs. I find so much joy in doing so that I studied both animal and wildlife sciences so I can make animal care my life. Whether in a clinical or personal setting, my clients are always pleased with the services that I provide their animals with. I'm currently a college graduate living back home as I take time before pursuing a Master's program. Because I work full-time as a veterinary assistant, my calendar is only accurate between 2-4 weeks out. However, I promise to do my best to be available to care for your pet! While I limit my pet care to my clients' homes, I do still take measures to ensure the animals' safety and wellbeing. The house doors will remain locked, I'm open to crating an animal if I'm not present, and they will be leashed at all times on walks as it is the law. Additionally I'm acquainted with plenty of veterinarians should your pet require any emergency medical attention.
“Charles was fantastic with our senior cat, Catcher. He was extremely thorough with his care and the updates he provided, and showed tremendous compassion for our sweet old boy. He even brought Catcher some food from home when he was being particularly picky. Would definitely recommend Charles to anyone looking for a thorough and compassionate cat sitter.”

“Cassie has been a wonderful pet sitter for my dog Wendy. Wendy is not an easy dog for the majority of people, but from the meet and greet Cassie spent time bonding with Wendy and earning her trust! So that made me really comfortable. And then she took such good care of Wendy while I was away. Took plenty of pictures and provided additional information. Will definitely be booking with Cassie again.”

“Anne took great care of Pooh while we were gone. She sent detailed updates and pictures of their walks. We came home to a happy dog. I appreciate her reliability and her willingness to take on a last minute sitting request. We had a great experience with Anne.”
“Meghan has done an amazing job taking care of our puppy while we are at work. I will definitely be a repeat client and reccomend Meghan to take care of others fur babies as well!”

“Bianca was super responsive from the very beginning and in-communication throughout, which definitely eased my mind knowing that my cats were in good hands. She cared for all of them super well, took cute pics, and would definitely book again!”

“Amber is a fantastic sitter. She is friendly, very responsible, responsive and communicative. I felt my cats were well cared for and really it eased my worries during my trip. I will hire her again!”

“Meghan was great! She always sent at least one picture of my dog during the daily check in and Meghan would also send notes on discovering that my dog especially loves belly rubs or that they spent some time playing inside because the weather was yucky outside. That helped me know that she was really trying to take care of my dog like her own. Will definitely be requesting her help again!”

“Jessica did an extraordinary job of taking care of my cat! She spent a lot of extra time sitting with him and playing with him while I was away. She also leaves incredibly informative Rover cards and pays attention to every detailed instruction. I will absolutely ask Jessica to care for my cat the next time I am out of town!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Blands
Charles went above and beyond for us this past week when caring for our two indoor outdoor five year old cats. We had just moved to a different house on the road in front of the house our cats had grown up in. We thought they were adjusted so we took out trip. I put “ find my “ AirTags in them fortunately. But they were still confused and Charles wired patiently for them, went walking to find them at the other house , and even came very early in the morning. By the time we were ready to come home Charles had reassured them both that w writhing was ok. Charles is a familiar face and calming voice that they trust. Thank you Charles. I totally recommend Charles for anyone who needs a someone to take care of your kitties!

Alice took great care of my two cats while I was on vacation. She provided detailed reports for each visit, completed all the pet care tasks I asked of her, and sent multiple pictures to assure me that my babies were A-ok while I was out of town. I would definitely book Alice again!

Emily did a great job taking care of my cats while I was away for work! My younger cat is very outgoing/pushy, and my senior cat (Snickers) is more reserved but also gets really offended if she feels left out/ignored. Emily made sure both cats got their portion of wet food and gave them both attention. When I got back, the cats were happy and the house looked great.

I was in a desperate situation — unplanned travel over the Christmas and NYE holidays and my long time pet sitter wasn’t available. Diana to the rescue!! I was a nervous wreck but after the first visit by Diana, I immediately felt at ease. Her communication was stellar and her updates with photos was reassuring. I would not hesitate to request her services again in the future.

Claire took super great care of my cat and kept all areas (litter, food) clean and tidy. She’s very responsive and attentive to instructions. My shy cat very quickly felt comfortable with her. I had her care for my cat for 10 days and check ins were always detailed and consistent.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
