“Cristina is among the best cat sitters we have ever booked! She is easy to communicate with, followed our care instructions to a T, and provided excellent details and photos at her drop-ins. She had a great balance of patience to connect with our shy cat and energy to play with our crazy kitten. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Sarahbelle did such an amazing job taking care of my dog! She was very communicative and punctual, and my dog was instantly nuts about her. Very attentive to my dog’s needs too as she’s getting older with some health issues.”

“Rosemary was great with my boys, sat with them on every visit and sent me pictures of them while she was taking care of them. This was the second time that I have used Rover and both times I’ve been very pleased with the care of my animals.”

“Sarah was fantastic. She was prompt on all communication, sent lots of pictures, and I felt like the pups were very well cared for in my absence. I liked that I could leave the dogs home in their regular environment while I was away. I will definitely ask for her help again!”
“Vincent has been AMAZING to work with. Our dog loves when he comes to visit and it’s been so nice knowing he will have the company, exercise, and bathroom break when we can’t be there. He’s also an excellent communicator with us humans and incredibly understanding of our crazy schedules. A+!”

“We had a great experience with Sabrina and we plan to ask her help again taking care of our cats in future. She sent plenty of updates and pictures and when we came back our babies were calm as if we didn't leave.”

“Olga is knowledgeable and truly loves animals. I know she is also very reliable and honest. My aged dog was happy and cared for. Olga will always be my first choise in the future.”

About: I've been working with animals since I was 18, when I began volunteering with my local humane society, where I assisted with feeding, cleaning, socializing, and handling animals. I went on to work as a veterinary assistant at an animal clinic/hospital, where I learned more about handling animals and administering medications for cats and dogs. I no longer work at a veterinary office because I'm currently in an online bachelor's degree program that makes a traditional full-time job difficult to manage. But my schooling is incredibly flexible and I love working with animals, so part-time pet care is perfect for me! I have done pet-sitting for cats and dogs in the past, but I am also comfortable working with fish (I had a beloved betta fish in high school). I am definitely open to caring for other animals, but I would need additional instruction to compensate for my inexperience. I have particular experience with special needs animals because my own cat, Birdie, has hind limb paresis. She scoots around instead of walking, wears diapers, and has daily oral medication. "Special needs" encompasses a wide range of conditions, so I won't pretend to know how to care for all disabled animals but my personal experience provides me with the patience and flexibility to learn about the particular needs of your pet. I'm currently in a flexible online degree program that allows me to shape my schedule around my clients. Pet care through rover offers me supplemental income and ensures that I get out of the house regularly! I understand that every animal is different, so I don't have a universal approach to pet-sitting. I believe enrichment is essential to an animal's wellbeing and I incorporate that into my pet care. I make sure to take time to play with pets as well as feed, walk, or clean after them.

“We loved Kaitlin! I could communicate with her at anytime. She was so understanding and treated my anxious border collie with so much love! I received photos everyday which helped us put our minds at ease. We will definitely being getting in touch with her every time we go on vacation!”

“Rachel did a wonderful job with drop-in care for our puppy. She walked, fed, played and cuddled with Oliver. She was very responsive to messages and requests and shared great updates and photos of our pup. Oliver definitely made a new friend and we will be sure to request Rachel as our dog sitter the next time we need help.”

“Roxanna to the rescue once again! She was able to help out with another last-minute visit request and went above and beyond to help in an emergency situation. She is our go to sitter and our puppy loves her.”

About: I started house sitting and animal care over 15 years ago. We had our own family dog before that of course, so I was very familiar with the needs of dogs from a young age. I am available to stay at your place on the weekends, should you desire a weekend vacation, and I'm also available for drops ins/walks from 11am-2:30pm most weekdays! I have 2 cats and 1 dog of my own, so unfortunately I cannot have your pets at my home at the moment. I love all animals, especially cats and big dogs! I'm very educated on pet psychology and healthcare, as I was a vet tech after college for over a year. Please don't hesitate to reach out for me to pop by to walk and/or play with your fur baby! If you choose me, I would be honored to care for and love on your pets just as I would my own! I am available for walks and pop in play times from 11am-2:30pm most week days. My availability for pet/house sitting is just Friday and Saturday nights, as I have a young child I have to get to school on the week day mornings. I will follow any instructions given and will send you picture updates of your fur babies when I pop by. I know how much that means to most people, including myself!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Carpenter
Ben was great! He was on time for each visit, did what was asked for our pets and plants, asked questions, reported issues, and communicated about the pets throughout the week. He was tidy and even walked the dog for miles in the summer heat! I will definitely hire him again.

Olga was amazing! She took great care of our cat, sent lots of photos and thoughtful updates, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She also spent time playing with our kitty and even brought her own toy to make playtime more fun. She is kind, reliable, and clearly truly loves animals. We would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend! 🐱❤️

Hannah did a great job caring for my cat Penny! She was very responsive over messages and touched base with me to get special instructions and door access info. She was attentive to make sure the automatic feeder was working properly and filled it with the blend of food I asked! Thanks Hannah!

Kaitlin was amazing with my cats while we traveled for the holidays. You can tell that she loves animals and made sure they were safe and well cared for. I will be using her again for whenever we travel ( we travel a lot). Our chonky boy smokie totally fell in love with her ( I am a little jealous lol). I came home to happy pets who made a new friend. I would totally recommend her.

Seth went above and beyond taking care of my Lucy! He quickly learned her likes and dislikes and formed a sweet friendship with her. He even did some extra work so we wouldn’t have to worry about anything on the day we got home. I’ll definitely reach out to Seth again and I’m sure Lucy will be excited to see him!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
