“Sarah does an excellent job taking care of my pets. She is very responsive, keeps me updated and sends lots of photos. I’ve used Sarah in the past and will use her again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs, cats, lizards, and a variety of other animals, which has given me a lifelong love and appreciation for caring for pets. I enjoy giving back the same unconditional love, companionship, and care that animals so freely give to us. I currently have two cats that I have raised since they were kittens, giving me firsthand experience with every stage of their care and development. I am a reliable and responsible caregiver and have frequently cared for friends’ and family members’ pets whenever needed. I understand the importance of providing animals with consistent care, attention, patience, and affection, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently home for the summer before starting dental school in August, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to help care for your pets. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, or simply keeping your pet company, I would love to be part of their daily routine. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I appreciate the opportunity to provide them with the attention, care, and affection they deserve while you’re away. Walks and staying active are already part of my day, so having a furry companion join me would be an added bonus! In a client's home, I will respect their space and their animals to make sure both parties are happy, safe and well taken care of.
“Went away for a 3 week trip. Cristina took care of my older shy cat. Cristina was caring, supportive compassionate and consistent. Met all my pets needs and did everything to meet my pets needs while away. I definitely will book again.”

“Vincent has been AMAZING to work with. Our dog loves when he comes to visit and it’s been so nice knowing he will have the company, exercise, and bathroom break when we can’t be there. He’s also an excellent communicator with us humans and incredibly understanding of our crazy schedules. A+!”

“Caroline took such amazing care of Millie and Mia and truly went above and beyond! She sent me detailed updates, notes, and lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She’s absolutely awesome, and you can tell how much she genuinely loves cats! I’ll definitely be booking her again. 🐾❤️”

“Great with our senior Pom who needed multiple touches a day and medication 2x a day. We worried leaving her for a week but Rosemary was very attentive and kept in communication throughout our trip. Would absolutely rebook/recommend!”

“Sarahbelle has been a wonderful choice. Punctual, reliable and sends fun pictures that show me that my pup is in great hands and being cared for well. Highly recommend 10/10”

“Sabrina was great! The was very attentive to our cats and communicated anything that seemed abnormal. One of our kitties is pretty fussy with new people but she was able to get him to warm up and play. She was also very consistent with their feeding and meds.”

About: I've been working with animals since I was 18, when I began volunteering with my local humane society, where I assisted with feeding, cleaning, socializing, and handling animals. I went on to work as a veterinary assistant at an animal clinic/hospital, where I learned more about handling animals and administering medications for cats and dogs. I no longer work at a veterinary office because I'm currently in an online bachelor's degree program that makes a traditional full-time job difficult to manage. But my schooling is incredibly flexible and I love working with animals, so part-time pet care is perfect for me! I have done pet-sitting for cats and dogs in the past, but I am also comfortable working with fish (I had a beloved betta fish in high school). I am definitely open to caring for other animals, but I would need additional instruction to compensate for my inexperience. I have particular experience with special needs animals because my own cat, Birdie, has hind limb paresis. She scoots around instead of walking, wears diapers, and has daily oral medication. "Special needs" encompasses a wide range of conditions, so I won't pretend to know how to care for all disabled animals but my personal experience provides me with the patience and flexibility to learn about the particular needs of your pet. I'm currently in a flexible online degree program that allows me to shape my schedule around my clients. Pet care through rover offers me supplemental income and ensures that I get out of the house regularly! I understand that every animal is different, so I don't have a universal approach to pet-sitting. I believe enrichment is essential to an animal's wellbeing and I incorporate that into my pet care. I make sure to take time to play with pets as well as feed, walk, or clean after them.
“Berea was so loving and thoughtful in taking care of our dog while we were on a trip! I had to reach out for a last-minute request, but she was so willing to be flexible and wanted to understand my dog's needs fully so she could take care of him. She sent me so many updates throughout her visit and I knew from my dog's facial expressions that he loved spending time with her! Recommend Berea!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, and I enjoy all aspects of pet care! What sets me apart is the level of care, attention, and reliability I bring to every visit. I treat each pet as if they were my own. I take the time to understand their routines, personalities, and needs so they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’m a stay-at-home mom to two teenage girls with a little extra time and a big love for animals. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets, whether in your home or mine. With a fairly flexible schedule, I’m able to provide dependable, attentive care tailored to your pet’s needs. I provide attentive, personalized care whether your pet stays in my home or I care for them in yours. In your home, I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable in their familiar environment. In my home, pets are welcomed into a safe and loving space where they receive lots of attention, just like part of the family. In both cases, I prioritize your pet’s well-being, and I’m always happy to provide updates for your peace of mind. I have a very friendly, well-socialized dog who enjoys the company of other pets and helps make visiting animals feel right at home.

About: Experienced in caring for large and small dogs of all ages. I am loving, reliable, and attentive, ensuring that your fur baby is well-cared for while you’re away. I currently work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible, depending on distance/location. If special arrangements need to be made, I will need a 1-2 days notice. I maintain a clean, safe environment for all pets that I care for. If any issues arise, I will promptly alert you. My biggest priority is the safety of your pet.
“Ben was great! He was on time for each visit, did what was asked for our pets and plants, asked questions, reported issues, and communicated about the pets throughout the week. He was tidy and even walked the dog for miles in the summer heat! I will definitely hire him again.”

Olga has taken care of my 2 elderly cats a few times now for both short and long trips. She's been extremely reliable and thoughtful in her care of them. I feel very confident about leaving them and my home in her care while away. On one trip my return flight was cancelled and I couldn't get back when planned. Olga was very accommodating and helped with this unexpected change. She's given me a lot of peace, so I can enjoy my travel. I highly recommend her!

Sarah was fantastic! She took great care of my 2 dogs and cat while I was away and I am extremely happy with her work. Sarah communicates well and she is very responsive. She sent many pictures of my pets including my dogs playing in the yard which made me feel reassured that they were doing well while I was away. We will definitely ask her to work with us again!

Hannah did a great job caring for my cat Penny! She was very responsive over messages and touched base with me to get special instructions and door access info. She was attentive to make sure the automatic feeder was working properly and filled it with the blend of food I asked! Thanks Hannah!

Kaitlin was amazing with my cats while we traveled for the holidays. You can tell that she loves animals and made sure they were safe and well cared for. I will be using her again for whenever we travel ( we travel a lot). Our chonky boy smokie totally fell in love with her ( I am a little jealous lol). I came home to happy pets who made a new friend. I would totally recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
