About: I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone new. My goal is to give you peace of mind by treating your pet like they're apart of my own family. Over the years, I've cared for and watched pets for neighbors, family and friends, everything from drop-in visits to extended stays and I genuinely enjoy giving each animal the same care I'd want for my own. I currently own two senior cats (my babies), so I'm especially comfortable with older pets who may need a little extra patience, medication, or a gentler routine. I also frequently care for my sister's dog and cat when she's traveling, so I'm experienced juggling different personalities and needs under one roof. Whether it's sticking to a feeding schedule, giving playtime and snuggles, or just making sure your pet feels safe while you're away I treat every animal like family. I have a pretty open schedule, so I'm flexible and can usually accommodate what works best for you. I'm available for: Weekday visits and walks: morning, afternoon, or evening Weekend care: both Saturday and Sunday Recurring bookings: happy to set up a regular schedule if that's what you need Last-minute requests: if something comes up, just ask Whether you need daily check-ins for your cat, a midday dog walk, or someone to stop by while you're out of town, I can likely make it work. Don't hesitate to reach out and ask about a specific time, I'm happy to figure something out! I know how hard it is to leave your pet in someone else's hands, I feel the same way about my own. That's why I treat every animal I care for as if they were my own. Safety first: I'm always alert to potential hazards, things like open doors, toxic plants, small objects that could be swallowed, or escape routes. I follow any instructions you leave to the letter, and I'll check in if anything seems off. Trust & communication: I'll send regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether it's a quick text after a drop-in or a full report after a walk, you'll never be left wondering. I respect your home, your space, and your pet's routine. A calm, loving environment: I meet every animal where they are, shy cats get patience and quiet company, energetic dogs get walks and playtime, seniors get gentle care and extra comfort. My goal is to keep their day as stress-free and happy as possible, so you can relax knowing they're in good hands.
“If I could give Joy 10 stars I would - she was absolutely fabulous! She took such great care of our pups and left such great information on how they were doing, AND lots of pictures! We had a bit of travel plans change because of a family emergency, and she could not have been more helpful and flexible with accommodating our last minute booking change. We’re so grateful for Joy- we’ll absolutely be booking her services again the next time we need a dog sitter!”

“Emily did a fantastic job taking care of our two particular fur babies! She was prompt in responses, reached out with any questions she had, and most importantly our cats loved her (based on the great photos she sent us)!! I would 100 percent recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who clearly loves animals!”

“Jerrica was amazing with my pup! She took the time to ask questions and learn about his routine to ensure he and I were both comfortable. She was always right on time for visits and showed so much care and patience with him. My dog was given lots of cuddles and love and I’m so happy I found such a trust worthy and caring sitter for him. We will absolutely be using Jerrica’s services again and again.”

“Rachael made our lives so much easier when she watched our pets. She went above and beyond to ensure they were cared for and nurtured while we were away. She provided excellent feedback and communication throughout her time with them. We are very pleased with her services.”

“We loved Brooke! She came for a Drop-in visit. The first time I messaged her, she was quick to respond. She offered to come for a meet and greet free of charge before her first visit. She was easy to talk to and enjoyed our pup. I felt good about asking her to take our fur baby. I appreciated the pictures she sent during her visit. I will definitely use her again!”

“Gwen was amazing! Very attentive, and gave our kitties lots of loving! Kept us updated with pictures during her stay! Will definitely try to book again next time we travel!”

“I had an amazing experience my first time using Rover thanks to Caroline caring so well for our cat whole we were out of town on vacation. She took many pictures and videos and updated us each day. Pouncy loved his treat each day! Thank you for taking care of his litter box as well! Highly recommend Caroline for your pet care while away. Communication was great and helped put our mind at ease while we were gone. We will be rebooking with Caroline if she is available for future vacations or times when we need to be away for more than just an overnight.”

“Violet was a super prompt communicator and had no issues taking over on caring for our cat, Miso. She even traversed rough storm weather to check on her when we were out of the country. Would def book again!”

“She was amazing. I was stressed prior to leaving on our trip since we would be out of the country and we had just had a tree fall on the house. She reassured me every day that my fur baby was doing well by notes and lots of pictures. I have to say that she really is a great cat person and that comes from my kitty who does not do well with strangers. Aspen took the time to love her and to even brush her which made my day as well as my kitty's. Will use again.”

“Another wonderful experience with Sabrina pet sitting our cats. This time I was a bit worried because we left for longer, but Sabrina's super detailed updates and pics reassured us that all was going really well. Will def ask her to watch them again next time we travel.”

“Charles was great with our cat! Very professional and had great communication. Sent lots of photos of our kitty to keep us updated and provided great care. We will definitely book with him again!”

Alice took great care of my two cats while I was on vacation. She provided detailed reports for each visit, completed all the pet care tasks I asked of her, and sent multiple pictures to assure me that my babies were A-ok while I was out of town. I would definitely book Alice again!

Claire took super great care of my cat and kept all areas (litter, food) clean and tidy. She’s very responsive and attentive to instructions. My shy cat very quickly felt comfortable with her. I had her care for my cat for 10 days and check ins were always detailed and consistent.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in The Downs. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
