Over the years, I've cared for and watched pets for neighbors, family and friends, everything from drop-in visits to extended stays and I genuinely enjoy giving each animal the same care I'd want for my own. I currently own two senior cats (my babies), so I'm especially comfortable with older pets who may need a little extra patience, medication, or a gentler routine. I also frequently care for my sister's dog and cat when she's traveling, so I'm experienced juggling different personalities and needs under one roof. Whether it's sticking to a feeding schedule, giving playtime and snuggles, or just making sure your pet feels safe while you're away I treat every animal like family. I have a pretty open schedule, so I'm flexible and can usually accommodate what works best for you. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a little girl and I currently have a golden retriever who I’d do anything for! It is so important to me that I keep your animals safe and happy as if they were my own. I am on summer break from university so I will be home full time to care for your pets and give them the attention they deserve! I am ready to accommodate any pet that is in my care with long or short walks, playtime, and petting time as well. I can follow special instructions and provide plenty of pictures of your loved one while I’m watching them.
“Cherrie did a wonderful job watching our rescue dog, Winnie! She was extremely punctual, communicative, and reassuring that she could meet every need of our girl! Cherrie house sat while we were abroad and Winnie (who is usually very shy) warmed up to her super quickly which was so relieving! Cherrie was super tuned in to Winnie during our meet and greets and throughout the stay, letting us know how Winnie is doing with her walks and eating and energy! She was also super patient with some of Winnie’s quirks and I appreciated how she communicated if Winnie was showing a new behavior (like reactive barking) so we could help Cherrie manage it in the way that we would normally do so. I was so glad, because the day after my husband passed, we had to have our 14 yr. old retriever put down. I could tell Moses has missed our 2 "loves".
