“Syndi is a very nice young lady who got along really well with our 3 dogs and 4 cats. She did overnight stays with our fur babies. Cleaned up after herself wonderfully. I felt very comfortable leaving my precious pets with her.”

“We love having Lori stay with our pup!! She’s been our rover for a handful of occasions now and we always come home to a happy and safe pup, and a VERY clean space. We couldn’t recommend Lori enough!”

“My 3 Goldens had a great stay in the comfort of their own home with sitter Hayli and her sweet pup, Ivy 🥰. Hayli is very communicative and sent plenty of updates with photos and videos. They were definitely in great hands with her, which allowed me to enjoy my time away & not worry constantly about my fur babies. Thank you, Hayli!”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals, and we had many different types of pets when I was growing up. I would sometimes also visit shelters to walk/spend time with the animals there. When I went to college I decided to adopt my very first kitten Salem and he’s been growing and thriving alongside me ever since. After a difficult breakup, Salem and I moved in with some friends of mine who are very regular Rover walkers and boarders. I learned a lot from my experiences with them in handling and caring for different types of animals while also creating relationships with pet parents. After moving out, I now do Rover full time. I enjoy being in nature, taking long walks, and furry snuggles so if you’re looking for a friendly face to take care of your furry friend, I just might be your girl! I’m on Rover full time now! So I like to keep my calendar updated and available to help fit your needs. I do also spend some of my time working to build my own business from home :) I am open to helping you keep your pets routine as normal as possible through your advice and instruction. I am able to put them in crates if needed, feed, and water, offer playtime, take nice walks, and of course pick up after them with provided materials.
“Alex did a great job! Especially since one of my dogs got an infected paw pad right before she came so she had to deal with some unexpected medical care on top of it being her first time with my dogs. She kept me up to date with pics and vids and I will definitely book her again!”

“Debora was superb when she was house sitting my dog while I was on vacation. I got daily updates with pictures and the house was left spotless (maybe even better!) when I got back. She was highly communicative and easy to work with. Would highly recommend Debora!”

“Our dogs were really happy with Alyssa! She was very quick to respond, respectful, and attentive to the quirky needs of our old doggies. Will recommend to my friends.”
“Hallie was great with our two pups! She sent pics and updates during our week long vacation. I know our pups loved being cared for my Hallie. She was also very respectful when staying in our home. We definitely plan on booking Hallie again!”
“Elizabeth was fantastic. She is new to Rover, but is certainly not new to taking care of dogs. She did a great job taking care of our dog, oso. She was very attentive to his needs and made sure he had a great time while we were away. She took extraordinary care of our house and was a very clear and transparent communicator the entire time. We sent her detailed instructions, and she clearly read all of them and followed through. 100% will use again. Highly recommend!”

“Nicole has watch our senior dogs twice, and I’m looking forward to the next time. She also noticed the heat was stressing out some of my plants and she watered them without me asking. Which was much appreciated!”
“Kelsey did a great job with our senior dog. Tons of pictures and videos to put our mind at ease. Our dog is very shy with new people but by day 2 Kelsey was her best friend. We will use Kelsey again for any future vacations.”

“A++++! Perfect house and dog sitter for a long weekend. Great communicator! We always knew how things were going while we were out of the country. Went above and beyond to get comfortable with our dog and make our dog comfortable.”

“Kira is an exceptional sitter. She took wonderful care of our home, but the best part was seeing how happy our dog, Raylan, was with her. She connected with him right away, and the beautiful photos and updates she sent were such a thoughtful and appreciated bonus. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands. We will definitely be booking Kira for all our future pet sitting!”

About: I have taken care of all kinds of pets for over 7 years, ensuring your furry friend is treated as family while you are away. I love to send photos to give a sneak peak into all the fun! I am open to caring for cats and dogs at any point in the day from early morning walks to late night feeds. If there are other schedules that fit better than what is posted, feel free to message me to work something out! I have experience in house sitting over holidays and long weekends!! I love working with and caring for pets as if they were my own. I prefer to keep your animal comfortable in their own setting.
“Rachel was prompt and responsive with meeting our pup and in communications. I would recommend Rachel and we will likely reach out to her for future stays with Domino. Thanks, Rachel!”

Debora was superb when she was house sitting my dog while I was on vacation. I got daily updates with pictures and the house was left spotless (maybe even better!) when I got back. She was highly communicative and easy to work with. Would highly recommend Debora!

Kristin was exceptional! She really cared about the wellbeing and safety of our three dogs. It is such a relief to have someone you can trust and depend on so that we could fully our vacation. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants a dog sitter who takes care of your dogs like her own.

Our dog loves Kyle. Our family went on a 17-day international trip and had Kyle house sit our 5 month puppy Wooloo. Wooloo loved Kyle a lot. The house was kept clean and everything where they should be. We received pictures every day which made our mind at ease during the whole trip. We are so thankful!

Danielle was absolutely wonderful! I booked with her last minute and she was super flexible with scheduling a meet and greet with my pups before hand. I have one dog that gets scared and anxious around new people but she was not thrown off one bit and took her time to let my dog warm up to her. She was super communicative while I was gone (even sent daily pictures)! I will definitely be booking with her again!

Antonia was an amazing sitter! She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures while I was away. My dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly very well taken care of the entire time. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend Antonia to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clegg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clegg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clegg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
