Lori went above and beyond our expectations! I’m so grateful we found her and already have her booked for dog walking the next two weeks. She was highly communicative, sent many photos, and took great care of our dog who can be quite vocal but she seemed to handle the barking just fine :) my dog clearly adores her!

About: LGBTQ+ friendly 🌈 Welcome to my page! I’m Ashlee and have had a passion for animals since childhood when we got our first family dog, From having many other pets in the family over the years and working at pet stores in the past I know just the right things to make your pet feels at home and gets all the attention they deserve. Your pet will get all the attention they get at home on my watch. Whether you walk them multiple times a day or take them to a park I’m known for going above and beyond for my clients and their pets needs. Getting a good amount of exercise and playtime throughout the day is my biggest concern. I want to stimulate the pets mind and make sure they’re having the most fun as possible I am open to having a client who needs daily/weekly walks for their pet. My schedule is flexible and I’m comfortable around all sizes and breeds of dogs Daily photos and videos will be sent to you through out your pets stay. Also any play time or feedings will be documented as well. Whether you take them to a dog park or just let them run around in the yard, you’ll get tons of video and picture updates from me 🦮🐾🐕‍🦺🐾 **any supplies that are needed and not provided upon drop off will be purchased and require reimbursement (food, leashes, collars, puppy pads)** Im a full time student now who’s in flight school getting my private pilots license so I do have a good fluctuated amount of free time and can work around whatever schedule is needed for your pets needs. Whether your pup is extremely hyper and needs a few laps around the park or in the neighborhood or they like to lounge around and cuddle I can fit all needs into their care routine while you’re away!

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had two Pomeranians who were like siblings to me — one of them still lives with my mom, and visiting her always reminds me how much joy a dog brings into a home. Over the years, I've cared for many of my friends' dogs across every life stage, from playful puppies to gentle seniors, and somehow they always warm up to me quickly. I think it's because I see every dog as their own little person, with real feelings and needs. I pay close attention to their moods, never leave them alone too long, and treat them with the same respect I'd give a human friend. I currently work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. Your pup can get 3+ walks a day on the large grassy lawn right outside my building, and since we have an elevator, I'm happy to host senior dogs or pups with mobility issues — no stairs to worry about. I work from home full-time, which means I'm with the dogs almost all day — they're never alone for long stretches. My schedule is very flexible: I can take 3+ walks a day, fit in midday play sessions and feeding times, and easily accommodate medication schedules or special routines. I'm available for boarding any day of the week, including overnights, and happy to send photo and video updates throughout the day so you always know how your pup is doing. My home is a clean, quiet, and pet-friendly apartment with a spacious layout and plenty of natural light. Right outside the building is a large grassy lawn, perfect for daily walks, sniff time, and play — and we have an elevator, so seniors or pups with mobility issues don't need to worry about stairs. Inside, I keep things calm and consistent: regular feeding times, cozy resting spots, and a watchful eye on anything that could be a hazard. I always meet new dogs slowly and let them set the pace as they settle in, and I'm happy to follow any specific instructions or routines you'd like me to keep.

About: I’ve always loved caring for animals! In high school, I regularly pet sat for both dogs and cats, including overnight stays, so I’m comfortable with different routines and personalities. I also have a cat of my own, Squirt, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. As a recent college graduate, I have a flexible schedule and will always go the extra mile to make sure your pets are happy, healthy, and feel loved while you’re away. Whether that means sticking to their routine, giving them plenty of playtime and attention, or sending you photo updates for peace of mind, I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. As a recent college graduate, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I’m currently taking time off before starting work with my degree, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening visits, walks, playtime, feeding, or overnight stays. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so making sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for is something I genuinely look forward to every day I care for pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable and can stick to their normal routine. As a cat owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit or staying overnight, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, plenty of playtime, exercise, bathroom breaks, and lots of love and attention. I’ll carefully follow any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medications, or special care needs, and I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would my own. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they’re doing.

Kaylee was an excellent dog walker for our beloved senior dog. Kaylee always provided a nice note and picture of our dog after each walk to include letting us know if there were any health concerns during the walk. She was always responsive to messages and pleasant to speak with. We are very grateful to have had Kaylee as a dog walker and our only regret is that we didn't reach out to her sooner.

About: Over 20 years of experience of dog walking pet sitting - from puppies to older pups. Currently working towards certification to become a veterinary assistant :) I'm a teacher so I have plenty of time to hang out, play, and walk your pets during the late afternoon and early evenings. During the school year I'm often available on Weekends and holidays. I am currently not hosting pets in my home as I have a grumpy senior dog prone to seizures if overly excited. At your home, I will follow any rules or boundaries that you set in place :)

About: Lifelong animal lover prepared to care for your shy & senior pets! I've cared for animals most of my life going back to my mom's elementary school classroom. I have 13 years of adult pet ownership experience: 4 dogs & 3 cats of my own plus 1 rehoming within my family. I have personally fostered for multiple local agencies (Pawfect Match Rescue & Rehabilitation, APS of Durham, Cumberland County Animal Shelter, Hope Animal Rescue, Neshama Animal Rescue) including rescuing from a local agency that was mistreating the animals. I have experience with extreme anxiety disorders that need medical intervention, territorial pets, and rescues from unsanitary, physically abusive, and hoarding conditions. I volunteered as a foster parent to help combat "foster failure" (the pattern of foster families adopting quickly leaving a constant need for replacement volunteers). I fostered for 6 animals, and covered holidays and vacations for my fellow foster parents in these networks. I am also companion pet death doula. I have cared for 5 animals through natural and medically assisted deaths. Which includes treatment with CBD, and administering prescribed medication orally by pill, syringe, and under the tongue. Plus routine medications like ear drops. I am prepared to care for elderly pets and I can recognize common symptoms for conditions like dehydration, yeast infection, and GI issues. I've also cared for disabled animals including a kitten born without back paws. Finally, I have access to a grooming station that can accommodate large dogs, a private dog park, and am very close to multiple public parks. I have an SUV and a crash tested harness and tether. I am happy to provide transport to grooming, camps, veterinary appointments and more. I'm a full time student so my time is very flexible. My ideal schedule would be drop in care to provide walks and feedings while you're at work, on overnight stays or over long weekends. I establish trust with pets with careful introductions. I am very patient and wait until they indicate that they are open to being approached or touched, especially with cats. I don't mind taking the time to introduce myself to build a relationship that makes things like getting leashed move more quickly in the future.

About: I’ve worked in the veterinary industry for about 3 years and previously a dog training facility for 2 years! I also foster through the Wake County Animal Shelter as well as ROAR NC when I’m not dog sitting :) I work your typical 40 hour week, but make sure to include any pups in my home in any activities I can outside of work! I love to go to dog friendly restaurants, Sniffspots, and take hikes. With pups who wouldn’t thrive with that type of lifestyle, we’ll spend a lot of time hanging out in the house and around my apartment complex! While I don’t have a fenced in yard, I do take plenty of walks, as well as find places for pups to run around where I live! I also have a very sweet 5 year old pup of my own for my in home boarding!! For client’s home boarding, my pup would need to be able to stay as well, but she’s EXTREMELY well behaved and crated when I’m not home😊

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
