“Sriya is so patient with Barney's "quirks". She not afraid to step in for him to get to know her and is firm when she needs to be. So thankful to find a walker/pet sitter willing to work slow in gaining his trust!”

“We left our Marley for the first time in her life of 12 years. We are so thankful for Olga. Not only did she ease our worries, Marley found herself a friend. Thank you so much! 🤍”

About: Hi! I’m Anjali, a lifelong animal lover that wants to help take care of your loved ones. If you’re comfortable with it, I often provide care (especially for overnights) with my husband Ryan, who’s grown up with pets his whole life and this means your loved ones get double the care and attention! I like to focus on you and your pets needs, and adapting myself to y’all’s specific ways of doing things. I am big on taking photos and giving you lots of updates! I currently work from home, so your pet will get plenty of attention, supervision, and care if you’d like me to stay with them! My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I follow your pet’s routine closely—whether that’s multiple walks, feeding schedules, or just lots of cuddles. I work from home, so outside of meeting times, I have lots of flexibility to meet your pets needs and wants! I also send regular updates with photo/video so you always know how your pet is doing. I have always been a conscious guest in homes. I’d be extra diligent to be sure I’m taking care of your pets and your home during any services. Being welcomed into someone’s life and home is a big deal to me, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll be sure to go at the pace of your pets, giving both you and them the reassurance that they can trust me.
“Sabrina was amazing! My pup loved her and she was so thoughtful about his heart condition when he was in her care. I really appreciate her time and care. I look forward to her services in the future and I’m sure Legend is too!”

“Thank you Vincent! Hershel has been so much happier getting out and about, and especially getting a friend to have play dates with too. You’re so attentive and it’s beyond appreciated!”

“Absolutely amazing! Paid close attention to my pup’s wellbeing and put him first. Stayed in contact with updates and answered any and all questions I had. My pup came back so happy and tired and got so excited to see her the next day which is the sign of a great walker. Thank you so much!”

“Eliza has been an amazing dog walker for us! Our silly dog, who is sometimes shy around new people, absolutely loves her. Eliza always sends cute photos of their walks, and detailed updates about their time together. We really appreciate her and highly recommend her!”

“Rosemary is an amazing walker! She always stays the full time and she walks my dog really far. I really appreciate her and she sends photos and videos. My dog and cats love her! Thank you Rosemary!”

About: I've raised a dog from a puppy and worked with a professional dog trainer for 12 weeks to teach her to be an obedient and well behaved puppy / adult dog. I’m currently unemployed and looking to fill my time playing with a variety of pets. I love taking long walks around Cary and would love company I have experience taking care of energetic animals and make sure to keep them safe. I'm a responsible dog lover with a dog proof home.
About: Over 20 years of experience of dog walking pet sitting - from puppies to older pups. Currently working towards certification to become a veterinary assistant :) I'm a teacher so I have plenty of time to hang out, play, and walk your pets during the late afternoon and early evenings. During the school year I'm often available on Weekends and holidays. I am currently not hosting pets in my home as I have a grumpy senior dog prone to seizures if overly excited. At your home, I will follow any rules or boundaries that you set in place :)
About: I've been working with animals since I was 18, when I began volunteering with my local humane society, where I assisted with feeding, cleaning, socializing, and handling animals. I went on to work as a veterinary assistant at an animal clinic/hospital, where I learned more about handling animals and administering medications for cats and dogs. I no longer work at a veterinary office because I'm currently in an online bachelor's degree program that makes a traditional full-time job difficult to manage. But my schooling is incredibly flexible and I love working with animals, so part-time pet care is perfect for me! I have done pet-sitting for cats and dogs in the past, but I am also comfortable working with fish (I had a beloved betta fish in high school). I am definitely open to caring for other animals, but I would need additional instruction to compensate for my inexperience. I have particular experience with special needs animals because my own cat, Birdie, has hind limb paresis. She scoots around instead of walking, wears diapers, and has daily oral medication. "Special needs" encompasses a wide range of conditions, so I won't pretend to know how to care for all disabled animals but my personal experience provides me with the patience and flexibility to learn about the particular needs of your pet. I'm currently in a flexible online degree program that allows me to shape my schedule around my clients. Pet care through rover offers me supplemental income and ensures that I get out of the house regularly! I understand that every animal is different, so I don't have a universal approach to pet-sitting. I believe enrichment is essential to an animal's wellbeing and I incorporate that into my pet care. I make sure to take time to play with pets as well as feed, walk, or clean after them.
“Hola my fellow dog & cat parents! I am Davids’ first client and it was such a pleasure working with someone who communicates consistently and is extremely professional. He was punctual (although I booked him super last minute) and kept my constantly updated via text, call, FaceTime, photos, and videos! He reassured me everything will be okay especially with his years and experience with animals (and it helps that his father is a veterinarian!) I recommend him if you have a service animal as he followed my instructions which resulted with him having a smooth visit with my baby Foxy Roxy the Rottweiler. David was a pleasure to work with and I will be working with him in the future. ¡Muchas gracias David for everything you have done, I truly appreciate it!”

About: I am super empathetic towards dogs, I've been taking care of dogs at the shelter back in NY and I have some of my own. I have really been good taking care of older dogs or dogs with certain disabilities as in deaf, blindness, etc so I know my way around them. I also know a bit in training puppies as well. I'm currently working part time but I can fully commited to taking care of dogs of all kind and breeds. I can and will make the time to ensure that they are doing well. As my own home is well put together and my dogs are well behaved, your dogs will be perfectly safe and healthy around the home plus being fed food that will be suited to their needs. As for your homes, I will follow the rules and regulations you have put in place so I can properly take care of your pets.
“Sarah was great! I needed a dog walker last minute and was not able to do a meet and greet. Sarah accommodated a video chat to get familiar with my home and pup, and did great with Winston! He’s a big puppy and can be a handful. Sarah’s updates and pictures put my mind at ease. Thank you so much!”

About: My name is Lesly and I’ve taken care of dogs, puppies, cats and kittens since I was a little human. Neighbors, friends, families, and colleagues have relied on me to house sit/pet sit with their dogs and cats. With me, no ask is too big or small. I have experience in administering medication to cats and dogs, bathing/grooming stressed animals and basic training experience. If your dog only eats food a certain way, no problem I’ll adapt. Your cat gets too anxious around people? No worries, everyone needs a little space sometimes. Got a hyperactive and attention-loving dog, just like mine? There’s more than enough love and pets to go around. And yes, I do have a cats, Roma, Simba and a dog, Checo—you won’t have to worry about Simba, he just hangs around the house and will just say hello to our new guest if you decide to drop off your little one. Roma will be hidden until she gains some trust. On the other hand, if your doggy loves to play, sleep, eat and repeat then Checo will be right there. If your dog isn’t socialized, please know that Checo is a trained ESA and will not be bothered by our new guest. My kittens will remain in a separate room during your day care! Use code “LESLYV40846” to get $40 off your first booking with me on Rover: https://www.rover.com/sit/leslyv40846 I work hybrid so I prefer not taking any appointments those days but this is case by case. My work is flexible on the days I go in. Please feel free to send me a message! On the days I work from home no need to worry if you think your pet will be lacking attention or if they’ll spend too much time alone. I have a set feeding and play schedule for my pets and will adjust to make sure your pet gets the same attention you give to them. I know visiting a strangers home or a stranger visiting their home can be nerve racking but I will make sure to make my home feel as theirs while you’re away and make sure that their routine doesn’t change. Pets have their own personalities too and sometimes they like things a specific way, no worries! Your pet will get the same amount of attention that you give to them and when you return they’ll be ready to tell you about all the adventures they went on (with your permission, of course). I want to make sure the transition of you being gone is as seamless as possible and make sure they know that they’re another member of my family while you’re away. My home is their home. For house-sitting, obviously my animals will not be joining—I make sure not to disrupt any schedule you have set for your pet(s). I am quick to adapt so, if you have specific rules, no worries! I got you. I am extremely respectful of your home so if there’s any guidelines, Iet me know!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carpenter
Molly is an excellent sitter! She cared for our senior dog for a daytime walk and followed all the instructions we asked of her. She is a great communicator and has a really nice personable vibe to her. You can tell she’s a genuine person. She provided a detailed update with photos. We’ll be using her next time we need doggy services. Thank you, Molly!

Peyton is great. She always arrived on time, lived right across the street from me and was very convenient. Diamond loved her and always looked forward to her walks. She let Peyton know when she was tired and wanted to come home. Peyton loved her. Thank you so much. Will use her again. Highly recommend.

Qianyu is an excellent dog sitter/walker and I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for quality care for their pet-children! She is very punctual, caring, and has excellent communication. I have three very needy dogs who are quite the handful! Qianyu always comes on time, sends pictures and updates of the walks and leaves them happy. I can read my dogs well and can usually tell a good sitter from a not so good one by my dogs' demeanor, and my dogs are always happy with Qianyu - thank you!

We really loved Margaux! She really stepped to the plate during a stressful emergency situation in our family that led to us needing a last min dog walker for our cute Brindi, multiple times a day and for a whole week and then several additional times the following week. She was personable, experienced, punctual, and even did her best attempts during a storm where Brindi was too scared to go outside. We only had to end services as we would noy be able to afford to pay for long term. But we highly recommend Ms. Margaux!!🥰🥰🥰🐈🐈🐈🐈🙏🙏🙏

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
