About: I enjoy spending time helping families care for their pets. I’m a dog and cat mom myself, and enjoy my days off walking and playing with pets. My family and I foster dogs a few times a year and help get them adopted. I work part-time in healthcare, therefore I have some free time during my weeks and weekends to help walk dogs and and help care for them as needed. I care for cats as well. I’m flexible, fun, kind, and happy to help your pet feel loved. I can walk, feed, and play with you dogs and cats as needed. I truly care for the animals as you would.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Even as a little girl, there was almost always a cat or dog beside me in every photo. Being around animals has always felt natural to me, and caring for them has been one of the greatest joys in my life. Over the years, I’ve cared for cats, dogs, birds, fish, and even lizards. Today, my home is shared with several beloved rescue cats, each with their own personality, routines, and little quirks that make me smile every day. My path into pet sitting happened naturally while working as a caregiver, where I often formed close bonds not only with my clients, but with their pets as well. Before long, families began trusting me to care for their animals too—and I quickly realized how much I truly loved it. I also have extensive hands-on experience caring for senior pets and animals with special needs, including medication administration, insulin injections, subcutaneous fluids, special feeding routines, and gentle comfort care. Providing comfort, patience, and a good quality of life to animals—especially those needing extra support—has been one of the most meaningful parts of my experience. Whether I’m dropping in to feed and care for your cat, keeping your pet company while you’re away, or taking your dog for a safe and enjoyable walk, my goal is always to help them feel comfortable, secure, and loved in their own space. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I treat every animal with the same kindness, patience, attention, and affection I would want for my own. I’d be honored to care for your beloved babies. I’m dedicated to making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I do my best to keep my schedule flexible and am available 7am–10pm, seven days a week. Whether your pet needs a morning visit, a midday check-in, dinner and evening care, or simply some company and affection while you’re gone, I’m happy to help. Feel free to reach out with your preferred times, and I’ll always do my best to accommodate your schedule and your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep everything feeling calm, familiar, and low-stress. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, litter box or potty routines, and any notes you leave regarding behavior, preferences, or special care. I know how important routine can be—especially for cats—and I try to keep things as consistent as possible while you’re away. I’m very attentive to details such as securely locking doors, checking gates, keeping food and water areas clean, and making sure pets are safe and comfortable before I leave. I also pay close attention to each animal’s personality and body language, whether they’re playful and social or shy and need a slower, gentler approach. I always want pets to feel safe with me and cared for in a way that feels natural and respectful to them. I’m happy to provide updates and photos during visits so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

About: We've been caring for dogs for over eight years now. We are used to high energy dogs, dogs that just need a ton of attention, or even the ones who just want to sleep all day. I know your dogs will have a great time with us. We play fetch, walk them, cuddle with them, or what ever they like to do. Our Home: We have a nice fenced in back yard with plenty of space for them to run around. We have two kids with us part of the time who love to play with dogs. We have two dogs already who are very social and love to have extra friends around. Availability: We are available most weekends. For now that is what we want to start with. We can make special arrangements upon request, just let us know what you're looking for.
“Alexandra looked after my dog and cat while I was away on a work trip. She was always quick with replies and attentive to my dog’s needs while walking her in the hot weather! She was flexible with scheduling the initial meet and greet, pet visits, and took good care of my pets! Will hope to use her services again when needed in the future.”
About: I truly love the company of animals and treat every pet I watch as if they were my own. I understand that every dog and cat has a different 'vibe'—I’m happy to be a high-energy playmate for active pups or a quiet, comforting lap for senior or shy pets. Whether it’s a quick neighborhood stroll or spending the afternoon together at your house or mine, I prioritize your pet’s happiness and safety above all else. I’d love to help give you a break and give your pet a fun new friend! Since I am home for the majority of the day, I can provide your pet with consistent, dedicated attention and frequent outdoor breaks. I genuinely enjoy the companionship of animals and look forward to making sure yours feels right at home I live in an apartment, I have two children (11 and 13), I can walk my dog on the street, on the territory of my complex or nearby, for example on the trail and in the park ( I have a big one not far from my home).
About: I've taken care of pets since I was 8 years old. As a pet owner myself of a dog and 2 cats, I've had a love for animals since I could remember. I love learning and understanding animals and reassuring them that they'll have a long and healthy life. I have experience in helping with the training of young animals as well as dealing with animals with dietary and environmental allergies. I've assisted in helping both cats and dogs with medication and dietary needs. As a pet owner myself, my goal is to ensure a happy pet who is well taken care of all around and loved! I'm currently not working and have an open availability! I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pets! As a pet owner myself, I follow instructions to a T when it comes to feedings and walk times. I'm a huge advocate for keeping the client's home as it is found, and better! I keep the home clean and clean up for the pets as I go, and make sure to leave the surrounding area clean as well!

Karissa is exactly who we needed for our sitter/companion for our Husky. She had excellent communication, prompt responses to all messages, very kind and sweet, and mindful. She was so thorough, understood dog behavior very well, knew exactly what to do depending on how our dog interacted with her each day, and always provided adequate discussion of anything needed. She went above and beyond, and took such great care while we were visiting family. Our husky needs lots of exercise and she helped make sure she got that everyday. I will definitely be booking with her again anytime I need a sitter/walker if she is available. Truly grateful she was so helpful and supportive.

Cara was right on time. She was friendly and patient with Hutch. She even had a treat for him!! (After asking permission of course). We talked about his harness and his leash. She gave me some great pointers. Of course he behaved perfectly for her 😂 but I'm ready for our next adventure. Cara is great with the dog, and the human!!

Sophia walked my 1.5 year old lab mix Oscar and was so good with him we decided to have him board with her. It was our first time ever leaving him at a sitter’s house so we were anxious dog parents but Sophia kept us updated and took amazing care of him. We will be using her again! Oscar was so happy and well-cared for. Thank you, Sophia!!!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
