“Rachel is the best! She takes really good care of my dog! I trust her enough to hire her, even when I’m away for weeks, knowing that my dog is in good hands! My dog loves her…she spoils him bad 😊”

“As always Kelsey did a great job looking after my cats while I was away. They were happy and well when I got home, and the reports Kelsey writes each day are really wonderful for any anxious pet parent!”

“Zainab was so amazing! She came and met us and our two kittens before our trip, which really helped with anxiety and acclimating, since it was our pets’ first time with a sitter. Our cats adored Zainab and she was so communicative and accommodating! We will definitely be booking with her the next time we go out of town”

“Courtney and Orion get along very well. He lights up when she comes to the door. She sends me photos of him and even took him for a nice walk by the Pacifica pier. She is great and has an extremely cheerful demeanor. I like having her take care of Orion while I am teaching at night and will continue with her as long as her schedule permits.”

“Courtney always does a fantastic job for us. She communicates very well and takes good care of our young dog and our older dog. It gives us comfort to know how reliable Courtney is when we want to go out of town, but not be worried the whole time about our pets!!”
“Katelyn was prompt, professional and thorough while watching our senior kitty. She was quick to respond to messages with us, and was flexible and understanding when our first drop-in needed to be pushed back from its scheduled time. Katelyn left detailed notes of her drop-in visits and took over a dozen photos each time, so we knew our girl was well cared for and in good spirits! We’re excited to book her again for another sit soon :)”

“Joanna was wonderful and patient with my shy cat and made sure to make sure he felt safe and comfortable with her. So grateful for the detailed updates and pictures. This was my first time having to leave him alone and I was so nervous but feel so much better about the situation and will definitely book with her again whenever possible!”

“Shannon is absolutely fabulous. She came for a meet and greet and Kiwi loved her immediately! I felt so comfortable with her caring for my baby. 10/10 highly recommend her incredible services :)”

“Great with our senior Pom who needed multiple touches a day and medication 2x a day. We worried leaving her for a week but Rosemary was very attentive and kept in communication throughout our trip. Would absolutely rebook/recommend!”

“Jolanda is the absolute best! She took such great care of our sick kitty while we were out of town. Very attentive and gave detailed updates that put our minds at ease.”

About: I’ve taken care of my friends dogs and cats-including a rambunctious golden retriever, as well as my family dog for years! I’ve walked, fed, and played with many pets, and I love them all 🥰 I have a 9-5 job M-F. I can make multiple visits during the morning, afternoon, or evening on weekends. During the week I can make visits any time before 9 and any time after 4:30-5ish! I would love to accommodate your dog or cat the best I can ❤️ I live very close to a greenway access and can walk your dog there! If your neighborhood offers a dog park or something similar I am open to taking your fur baby there. I can always crate if needed!
“Jalanie provided such peace of mind through her great care, thoughtful updates, and amazing pictures! Our second time using her and she was just as consistently amazing as the first time. Thanks again!”

“Another wonderful sitting experience for my quirky little lady. Wendy is a perfect fit for our kitty. She gives her all the attention and affection she needs (even it it has to be done by her autoloader just in case it goes off, lol) 🥰”

“Cydney was a great sitter for our 2 cats! We were gone for a week and during that time she communicated quickly, took lots of cute photos, and even eradicated some ants that got into the food bowl. Everything was in order when we got home and the boys were well taken care of. It's clear she loves animals and they like her back. Highly recommend!”

“Aqsa is great with our dogs and they are a bit of a handful. A German shepherd and pit bull. They gravitate to her and they trust her. That is very hard to find. If you are looking for a great pet sitter she is the one I recommend”

Roxanna was a great friend to our kitties and fish while we went away. She is very personable and good with animals. She was patient with our Bowie who has a big personality! She gave great feedback and pics from her visits which also made us at ease. Would recommend her care!

Amber was a huge lifesaver! I was away on a trip and had a last-minute issue with another sitter, and thankfully, Amber was able to step in. She was very communicative throughout my trip and sent pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. I’m so grateful for her help. Thank you, Amber!

We’re so thankful for Cydney taking care of our cats during a weekend getaway. Receiving those pictures during each visit makes our trips that much better knowing that our babies are doing great and are well taken care of. Cydney has cared for our cats over a few days now and they’re always so happy and well cared for. Highly, highly recommend Cydney!

Laina has been absolutely AWESOME!! She's been a great help with getting my geriatric dog out in the middle of the day for me when I work. Given his age, he very accident prone, and she has been in taking care of all his special needs. Will definitely be re-booking when shes available

This was my first time leaving my cats with a stranger, and Rachel couldn’t have been a better pick for it. We arranged a meet & greet a few days prior so she could get the lay of the land and let the cats warm up to her. One of my cats hides from new people, the other lashes out. Rachel somehow made them both feel safe enough to be present and curious - the snippy one even genuinely liked her by the end of it! Each morning and night I looked forward to her Rover cards, and really enjoyed watching my babies get more and more comfortable with her. My partner and I are breathing a collective sigh of relief, knowing we now have a go-to cat sitter for future trips.

Catlin was a gem 💎 my baby boy was well taken care of from the beginning till the end if you are looking for a lifesaver and a great hearted person she’s your sitter your baby’s will be very well taken care of you won’t be disappointed in catlin she’s the best! Thanks 😊 for everything 🙏❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
