“Kelly always comes in clutch. Incredibly responsive, fantastic with the cats. I travel a lot for work and really couldn't do it without her. Couldn't recommend her enough.”

“David did a great job making friends with our nervous dog and taking care of both dogs with kindness for 5 days. They are happy to see him when he comes over and we are comfortable on vacation knowing we have nothing to worry about, David can manage anything that may arise. We are very happy we found him.”

About: I have a very calming, peaceful and patient nature. I let an animal approach me when they are ready. I start with appropriate treats and see how they react to me in order to build a relationship. I work part time various days during the week. Sometimes I work during the day, sometimes I work in the evening/night. It is mostly on weekends that I work in the evening/night. My day shifts start at 11 and end at 3. My evening/night shifts start between 3-5. The longest I am away at night is 6 hours, of course the earlier I start the earlier I leave. I try to accommodate everyone’s needs as best as possible. My schedule is pretty flexible so I am able to work and give loving care and exercise to my dogs on a daily basis with the support of my family with all of us pitching in. As well as enjoying other things than work such as travel, reading, riding my bike, getting together with friends, and more. But at the end of the day, there is nothing like just being able to spend some quality time with my fur babies. In my home I have two dogs. I take them out twice a day for walks. They get plenty of belly rubs and kisses. One sleeps with me in my bed and is kind of my therapy dog, and he knows it!
“Great with our senior Pom who needed multiple touches a day and medication 2x a day. We worried leaving her for a week but Rosemary was very attentive and kept in communication throughout our trip. Would absolutely rebook/recommend!”

“Scott did a great job keeping our senior cat company while we were away! She loved the attention and was very happy when we returned. We will definitely plan to re-book Scott in the future.”

“Rachel was fantastic with our two cats while we were gone for a week! She did all the basics and then some, making sure they got some outdoor time and pets every time she visited. Will definitely be booking her again—thank you, Rachel! 🙌🏼”

“Cynthia is a doll. I can tell she is a true dog lover. She goes over and above what we ask of her. Even letting our Annie out twice in a row. Before and after she ate!”
“Shannon is absolutely fabulous. She came for a meet and greet and Kiwi loved her immediately! I felt so comfortable with her caring for my baby. 10/10 highly recommend her incredible services :)”

“I couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter. Aqsa is reliable experienced and caring. My dog has anxiety and struggles when we are away. I wasn’t able to enjoy my time away because I was so worried about him. Aqsa won him over and he loves spending time with her. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets on and off since high school. In the summer of 2023, I helped my neighbor walk two dogs regularly—an older Golden Retriever and a young Pomeranian. I’ve also walked a large Standard Poodle and have experience with dogs of different sizes and energy levels. Some friends have trusted me with pet-sitting at my home; the longest stay was nine days, caring for a medium-sized Poodle and a small mixed breed dog. I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in a new environment. In the past, I also raised a rescued orange tabby cat from kittenhood. He was with us for many years and remains a very special part of my life. I currently work part-time on weekdays and have flexible availability after 5 PM. Right now, I offer dog walking or cat care—this includes feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and giving your pets plenty of love and attention. I’m not offering boarding services at the moment, but I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their space and routines. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality, energy level, and preferences. Whether it’s a shy cat or an energetic dog, I make sure they feel safe and loved while their humans are away. I’m also happy to hear about any special notes or things I should be aware of regarding your pet.
“Pamela was absolutely wonderful with my senior cat, she was very communicative and send lots of photos and updates. She also went above and beyond with unexpected issues, I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

“Another wonderful sitting experience for my quirky little lady. Wendy is a perfect fit for our kitty. She gives her all the attention and affection she needs (even it it has to be done by her autoloader just in case it goes off, lol) 🥰”

“Jenny always takes such good care of my two dogs! I can tell that they both love her, and I am able to fully relax during vacations knowing that they are in excellent hands with her!”

Roxanna was a great friend to our kitties and fish while we went away. She is very personable and good with animals. She was patient with our Bowie who has a big personality! She gave great feedback and pics from her visits which also made us at ease. Would recommend her care!

David was a great friend to our pup Belle while we were out of town! He gave us consistent updates and let us know about any issues or challenges Belle was facing as an elderly dog. Belle loved her walks and were so grateful to know she was well cared for while we were away. Will book again!

Wendy is absolutely a wonderful person. I met her just for 10 minutes before giving her the keys of my house and the care of my two dogs. I just moved to the area and had an emergency that was going to take me out of the state. She kept me informed of everything, she took them for walks but more than anything she gave me peace of mind during one of the most difficult times of my life, the loss of my mother. I highly recommend her services and absolutely will put in her hands my fur babies.

Jessica is the best!!! She has watched our cats a few times now and I feel so at ease with her caring for our cats. She handles the medications, food, litter, and even offers to do some cleaning up after our very messy kitties. Shes a great communicator and sends wonderful pictures of our pets. She even brings toys from home sometimes! We really appreciate her.
Sriya always takes such good care of my two cats! She is highly detail-oriented, punctual, and an animal-lover to her core. She gives us great peace of mind with plenty of pictures and thorough updates. Whether it’s daily drop-in visits, or a multi-day overnight stay, she has been incredibly respectful of our home and the boundaries of our (admittedly difficult) cats. I highly recommend her services!!

Booked jade last minute for a trip we’d be away for and she was so great. She communicated with us throughout her time with our dog, she seemed to care a great deal for him, and was timely with the pictures while there as well. Would definitely book again and recommend!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Apex. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
