Our dogs love Kaitlin. We rebooked drop in visits with her after seeing how comfortable our dogs were around her and the wonderful care and attention she provided to them. She also went out of her way to bring some packages that were delivered to our house inside to keep them from getting rained on. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Carolyn did a wonderful job checking in on my dog while I was away. She made sure she had food and fresh water, let her out, spent time with her, and sent updates and photos that gave me real peace of mind. It was reassuring to know my dog was being cared for and getting some extra attention while I was gone. I would absolutely recommend her and would gladly use her services again!

They handled my dogs so well! I would absolutely recommend having them come by and watch your dogs. She did an amazing job taking photos and updating me through the app. They got fed well and got lots of fun exercise! I’m very thankful to have found such a trustworthy person to keep an eye on my doggos.

About: I have plenty of experience. I would often pet sit for my parents neighbors and I always grew up with pets in the house. I currently have cats, dogs and chickens. I helped take care of my family dog from when she was a puppy until she was old and could barely walk. I have a dog I got as a puppy and trained him myself and I trained my parents dog when she was a puppy, I taught her all the tricks she knows. I also have a dog with epilepsy so I have experience giving medication. I’m currently self employed and make my own hours and I stay home with my step daughter so I have lots of time on my hands. I am great at caring for your pets needs however you need. I’ve given medication to both cats and dogs so if it is something your pet needs I am the person for you.

I couldn't have done it without Caitlyn's help. I've booked her services twice and will continue to do so. She was very flexible with both her and my schedule, accommodating my needs, and accepting my request on very short notice, which I greatly appreciated. Caitlyn also brought in all my packages and took excellent care of my cat, Ralph, while I was out of town. I highly recommend her!

We are so grateful for the incredible care our girl Oakley received from Lauren! She got plenty of walks, lots of time outside in the sunshine, and all the love and attention she could want. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. We would absolutely book Lauren again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a dependable and caring sitter!

About: Have owned my own dogs and cats over the years. As they've grown older and passed on, I have satisfied my love for animals by caring for my kids' pets when they go on vacation. I've gone to their house and stayed, but also they have stayed in my home while mom and dad are away. We go for walks, and I have a fenced in yard and doggy door them to come and go as they please. Like my grandkids: I love having them and playing, but I also love the flexibility of sending them back to mom and dad! I am a retired teacher and am home most days. I have various errands during the day, or other things, but nothing that would interfere with visiting guests. I no longer have a dog of my own but our visiting fur babies ( and the grands) have a fenced yard with doggy door. Dogs are secure inside the back yard. I care for one dog, that loves the back yard and wants to stay out all day, weather permitting. He is safe and secure there with water and shade, and comes in when he is ready. But most of the dogs come inside. They are free to go out to play and do their business.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for around 30 years. I have both fostered and owned animals as well as watched other. I have owned my dog since she was a puppy, so I have experience with younger dogs. I have helped family friends with their older dogs who need help moving around and cannot stay home alone. I have also long term fostered a special needs dog. I am an empty nester and when my children moved out they took their pets. I’ll be able to devote my time and attention to your pets as you need me to. During my previous time pet sitting I have stayed at the owner’s home as well as done 2-3 times a day check ins. When doing these I play by house rules. Crating a dog is not a problem as that is what I do with my own. I have pet sat for people who do and do not crate their animals.

About: I've been caring for pets since before I was 12, I've had Cats, Dogs, and Hamsters over the years, never met a pet I didn't like. Available All Week, been searching for a stable job but no luck, so I figured why not get paid to do something I enjoy while I look for work. I'll feed, walk, and play with your pets and if you're a concerned parent then I can happily send you pictures of your pet throughout the day.

About: Hello! I’ve grown up with dogs almost all of my life. The only time I didn’t have a pet was when I first moved away from home, but I got my wonderful dog, Poppy, as soon as possible. Followed by our gentle Snoopy and now Kevin Bacon the cat. I look forward to making your pet feel loved and cared for however long they need it!! Please feel free to reach out if you have questions! I work remotely from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. I do have a toddler at home but can coordinate care or bring him along when possible. I’m happy to follow your specific instructions for walks or drop in visits. I’ll treat your home like my own and make sure your pets feel as comfortable as possible.

We LOVE Cassidy! She's been great for our one year old boxer mix. Cassidy is very responsive and so sweet. She sends pictures of videos during her drop ins with our girl, which as a dog mom makes me feel so much better. She gives updates and rundowns of each visit and has been very willing to accommodate our requests for our pup. Highly recommend Cassidy for your dog care needs!

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I can remember and have experience with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and even tiny bottle fed kittens. I’m comfortable with multi pet homes, routines, and pets with plenty of personality, I’ve truly seen it all. My goal is to make your animals feel safe and take some stress of your plate! My furry qualifications: The ones who live with me Babygirl- Long Haired Tortie with lots of attitude and a bottomless pit Nugget- Golden Retriever with attachment issues and so much energy Mango- Green Cheek Conure, he is a bird so not so much furry as he is feathery but also very sassy and plenty of personality I work Friday through Sunday mornings, but my mostly online school schedule gives me flexibility throughout the rest of the week. My availability may occasionally change as I explore other career opportunities, but I’ll keep my calendar updated, communicate clearly, and always make sure I’m a good fit for your pet’s routine before accepting a booking I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, keep a close eye on them, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’ll also send updates and photos so you know how they’re doing

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Angier stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Angier. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
