I have various errands during the day, or other things, but nothing that would interfere with visiting guests. I no longer have a dog of my own but our visiting fur babies ( and the grands) have a fenced yard with doggy door. Dogs are secure inside the back yard. I care for one dog, that loves the back yard and wants to stay out all day, weather permitting. He is safe and secure there with water and shade, and comes in when he is ready. But most of the dogs come inside. They are free to go out to play and do their business.
