About: Hi! My name is Phinette, I have always been a huge animal lover since I was little and have had a variety of pets throughout my life. Growing up, I had three small dogs, a rabbit for the past 7 years (recently got a second!), have had 5 pet rats, and my family also currently has 6 cats and a pitbull mix, so being around and loving animals has been part of my life since I was born! With that being said, I am more than comfortable caring for any type of animal whether they need special care or just extra love and attention, I would be happy to help! I have lots of experience not only caring for my own pets, but other peoples as well, so I know how important it is to pay attention to the small details in an animals day-to-day to help make them feel as comfortable as possible while their family is away. I am currently a Physical Therapist Assistant student and attend school Monday through Thursday, typically from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Because of my school schedule, I am most available for pet care in the early mornings and evenings during the week, as well as anytime on the weekends. I would love to incorporate pet care into my schedule! Overnight stays work best for me on the days I have school, but I am also available for drop-in visits and dog walking in the afternoons/evenings or anytime on the weekends. I am more than happy to work with you to find a schedule that works best for you and your pet and to make sure they are well taken care of and receive all the attention they need! As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care. I also know how important schedules and routines can be in keeping your pet feeling safe and comfortable while you are gone. I will make sure to follow your instructions as closely as possible and care for your pet the way you would yourself. I'm also more than happy to accommodate any additional needs or little quirks your pet may have to help them feel as safe and comfortable as possible while you are away!

Brooke was great. Very punctual and took great care of Oreo. He even came out from under the bed to see her and he doesn’t usually come out for people he hasn’t seen numerous times. Was very happy for that. Would recommend her to others and will def be using her again. Thank you Brooke

Mia (Ching Yu) was a delight to work with and our dog loved her! She was very attentive to our dog and her needs and spent a lot of time with her during her visits either playing fetch or taking her on walks. I would highly recommend Mia to anyone who’s looking for in home care for their dog while they are away. We will definitely rebook with Mia when we go on our next trip!

Caitlyn responded quickly to my request and was flexible with her schedule. She showed up every day at the agreed-upon time to feed and play with my cat. Caitlyn did everything we agreed to and more! and I am very happy with her help. My cat Ralph warmed up to her right away when she came for the meet and greet. I have booked her service again and will continue working with her in the future 👍🏻👍🏻

Absolutely Amazing Dog Sitter! I cannot say enough wonderful things about my dog sitter! She went above and beyond in every possible way while I was out of the country. Since our original walk-through, my entire setup had changed, and I completely forgot to update her on several important details—including the special food that one of my dogs requires. Not only did she handle everything with grace and professionalism, but she also took the initiative to find the best solution for my dogs. She even went out of her way to purchase high-quality meat to mix with their food to make sure they were well taken care of. That level of care and attention meant the world to me. She kept me updated with plenty of pictures and communicated exceptionally well throughout the entire stay, giving me complete peace of mind while I was traveling. Because of her, I was able to enjoy my trip knowing my babies were in the best hands possible. I will absolutely be booking with her again, and I already plan to use her services in the next couple of months. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares for your pets as if they were her own, don’t hesitate to book her. My only warning? Don’t book her on the same days I need her—she’s that good! 😊 Thank you again for taking such amazing care of my fur babies. You are truly the best!

About: Hello! I’ve grown up with dogs almost all of my life. The only time I didn’t have a pet was when I first moved away from home, but I got my wonderful dog, Poppy, as soon as possible. Followed by our gentle Snoopy and now Kevin Bacon the cat. I look forward to making your pet feel loved and cared for however long they need it!! Please feel free to reach out if you have questions! I work remotely from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. I do have a toddler at home but can coordinate care or bring him along when possible. I’m happy to follow your specific instructions for walks or drop in visits. I’ll treat your home like my own and make sure your pets feel as comfortable as possible.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for around 30 years. I have both fostered and owned animals as well as watched other. I have owned my dog since she was a puppy, so I have experience with younger dogs. I have helped family friends with their older dogs who need help moving around and cannot stay home alone. I have also long term fostered a special needs dog. I am an empty nester and when my children moved out they took their pets. I’ll be able to devote my time and attention to your pets as you need me to. During my previous time pet sitting I have stayed at the owner’s home as well as done 2-3 times a day check ins. When doing these I play by house rules. Crating a dog is not a problem as that is what I do with my own. I have pet sat for people who do and do not crate their animals.

My older dog was sick when I was away and he prioritized communicating with me to ensure my dog was taken care of the way I wanted. I will continue to hire him and I recommend you do as well if you want someone reliable to care for your animals. Thank You David!

About: I have had pets my entire life, including dogs, cats, fish, and hamsters, which has given me experience caring for animals with different needs and personalities. I have also watched my neighbors' dogs for the past six years, helping with feeding, walking, playtime, and general care. In addition, I currently have a dog of my own, so I understand the importance of providing pets with attention, exercise, patience, and loving care. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, and my kids are in school during the day, which gives me plenty of free time to care for pets. After dropping my kids off at school, I'm generally available from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and giving pets attention and companionship. While I do pick my kids up from school and attend some after-school activities, I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable, loving care throughout the day. In my home, I care for a two-year-old Goldendoodle, a pink toe tarantula, and fish, so I'm experience with caring for different of pets and their individual needs. My dog gets daily walks, is fed twice a day, and enjoys treats, regular grooming, and plenty of playtime both indoors and outdoors. I make sure all of my pets receive lots of attention, exercise, and loving care every day. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their normals routine as closely as possible to help pets feel comfortable and safe. I have watched my neighbor's' dogs on many occasions while they were on vacation or away for weekends. During those times, I visited their home about four times a day to walk, feed, play with, and give attention to their dogs. I also cared for their fish by feeding them and checking on them during each visit. I understand how important it is for pet owners to know their pets are being cared for with patience, reliability, and love.

About: I have been a dog lover since childhood, and my passion for animals continues to grow. I have a high-energy dog named Pepper, who is a 9-year-old Double Doodle. As she has gotten older, I have gained experience in taking care of her, including washing, playing, feeding, and walking her. I have also done pet-sitting for some family friends from time to time. I will do my best to meet all the needs of your furry friend so they can thrive! Morning until late afternoon is the best time for me to care for your furry friend. I am often busy after those times due to school and home responsibilities. However, there will be times when later hours work for me. I will mark it all on my calendar so you will be in the know! In your home, I will treat your pet with the utmost care while also respecting the rules of your household. Listening and being attentive to a pet are two of the most important things to petsitting. Sydney did a great job with my shy cat on this repeat booking and is always looking for ways to make her more comfortable while I’m away. This time she put out a water bowl in addition to the fountain Lulu usually drinks from, just in case the power were to go out and the fountain turned off. Best pet sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Angier. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
