“Just finished our vacation and we were glad that Chantel was available to take care of our puppy (she’s not actually a puppy but she’s small so that’s what we call her). Anyway, Chantel sent several photos and videos during our vacation and it was reassuring to know that our puppy was being well cared for. Hope Chantel is available in June for our next trip.”

“Lisa and her wonderful family took care of Molly for a week. We had constant updates and pictures and we will definitely used her services again. We would highly recommend her services”

“Kordula was great with our puppy it’s obvious she was well taken care of ! We enjoyed the daily update photos to know our baby girl was in good hands ! Highly recommend !!”

“Christopher and Christina were wonderful to watch my dog Max for a full week. I had such peace of mind and received regular updates and photos of Max during that time. Can not recommend them enough!”

“We were nervous about having a dog sitter for the very first time but Caitlin immediately put us at ease as our dogs immediately loved her! She sent daily photos and updates of our dogs which was absolutely incredible. We highly recommend Caitlin, she will treat your dog like family.”

“Staci pet-sat for my fur-baby Maggie for 2 days and I am thinking she is missing her and her family. When my husband and I picked her up, Maggie gave me a little resistance on the leash, but eventually walked towards our car. I have always been hesitant about leaving Maggie with anyone outside of our family because she has separation anxiety and can be sad when we left her in the past with other pet sitting services. I am so grateful that Staci took such good care of Maggie and gave us updates that gave me a piece of mind while away. Thank you for keeping her and obviously loving on her so much. 💜 I can’t wait for the next time she gets to go to you. -D. Recinos”

“We left our 3 yr old Bulldog with Kaitlin, Jeff & Kids for a week and had an amazing experience. Our pup absolutely loved being at their house. She was treated like she was their own dog!! She loved playing with all the kids and their pups. Communication from Kaitlin & Jeff was fabulous! We will absolutely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone.”

“Lesley and her family took such amazing care of our dog, Banjo. Banjo was happy, relaxed, and clearly felt at home with them. She kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can really tell that she and her family genuinely love animals and treat them like part of their own family. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“Stephanie and her family were fantastic, helping me out and making me feel really comfortable with leaving my puppy overnight. She sent me pictures throughout, and I know he was well cared for. He came home tired and snuggly, the sign of a fun time!! I absolutely recommend Stephanie and her family.”

“Carol was fantastic with our Roxy. She treated her as if she was her own dog. It is not easy leaving a member of the family with a stranger, but after meeting Carol I felt like our Roxy would be in good hands. I highly recommend Carol.”

“My dog loves Ksenia. My dog tends to be very clingy to me but when we pull up to ksenias house he is so excited to stay there. He has stayed multiple times with her and she is very kind and caring - would recommend her for your special pet ♥️”

“I was a little apprehensive about dropping our puppy off to stay with someone else, but he really had a great time at Amanda's. He was well taken care of, and there was no need to worry. We will definitely try to book Amanda again in the future!”

“I had an issue with another sitter I had set up through Rover for when I'd be out of town and they dropped my dogs back at home despite me not being there. I contacted Kimberly immediately and although she was also out of town, she took the time to go to my house and get my dogs as soon as she got back that night. She is an absolute angel and is great with my high energy boys. I cannot recommend her enough. I am so thankful for her!”

“Ashley and the entire family took such great care of our fur baby. We had absolutely no worries. We received pictures and updates every day. I looked forward to receiving the latest update on our little princess at least two times a day. We are so glad we found such a loving family that truly cares for your pet as if they are theirs. We will definitely book with them again! Thanks again to the entire family from all of us💕!!”

“Kelly is a great Rover! She was very communicative throughout the planning and stay. My pup had the best time and was very well taken care of. Definitely will be using Kelly in the future. Thanks a bunch!!”
“Claudia is so wonderful with our Scout! And Scout loves all the attention she gets. She’s excited to see Claudia and her family which makes us feel better about having to leave her. Always a joy!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Angier
We’ve had a great experience every time they’ve watched our dog. She and her husband take really good care of him and are always reliable when we’re out of town. They send regular pictures and videos, which we appreciate, and they’re quick to respond whenever we reach out. It’s easy to trust that our dog is in good hands while we’re away. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable dog sitter.

I would absolutely have Alicia keep our English Lab Riley the next time we go out of town. Her personality and interaction with her family and dogs was very calm and secure, left me with no worries about leaving Riley with her. She sent us pictures and updates and kept us at ease about how Riley was doing. The whole process was easy and relaxed, very pleased with the experience.

Caitlin was wonderful with Scout. Our sweet pup takes 2 meds a day and has seizures. Caitlin’s took such good care of her, sending me pics of her getting her meds on time and of her having fun. She had 2 seizures while we were gone for nearly a week and Caitlin’s handled it like a pro. We will definitely use her again!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Angier home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
