“We used Kaitlyn recently for the first time for our golden doodle puppy and we had a wonderful experience! We could tell when we picked her up that she was very happy with her surroundings and with Kaitlyn. We got periodic photos of her stay and it looks like she made a lot of friends while she was there. We will definitely be returning customers and it’s comforting to know we have a spot that our dog feels at home.”

“She was an amazing dog sitter. She kept Sheba for 3 days and kept us informed the entire time. She let us know right away if anything was off and truly cared about Sheba’s wellbeing. She was also very kind and professional when we met. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her.”

About: A Home Away From Home for Your Pup! Dogs have always been part of my family, and I love creating a comfortable, relaxed home-away-from-home experience for them. My 6-year-old Boston Terrier, Coco, is my constant sidekick and the daughter I never had! She can use a furry friend and takes a few minutes to warm up. I'd love to welcome your pup into my home for a stay filled with love, attention, playtime and plenty of couch cuddles. I intentionally keep my boarding small and personal, typically hosting just 1–2 guest dogs at a time so each pup gets plenty of individual attention. Your dog will be treated like part of the family—not just another boarding guest. Small, family-style boarding — just 1–2 guest dogs at a time Fenced yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks Lots of love, attention & companionship Daily photo & video updates so you can see how your pup is doing Comfortable home environment with plenty of attention and downtime Meet & greet before the first stay to make sure everyone is comfortable Whether you're headed out for a weekend getaway or a longer trip, I'd love to give your pup a safe, happy place to call home while you're away. Come meet Coco and me—I'd love to meet your furry family member! Open to meet & greets to acclimate and see if we are a good fit ! I currently work Full-Time in and out of my home as a Realtor® so I have lots of flexibility to walk and love on the pups throughout my days. Our Boston Terrier even loves to ride in the car with me. So when the wether permits, she joins me as I travel around the Triangle providing home tours and knowledge to my clients. I have a nice fenced in yard and 2 crates, if needed. I can crate your pup as needed or he/she can roam about with Coco on the 1st floor. We can even crate your pup for sleeping at night, like we do Coco.
“Dennis clearly loved his first stay with Joanne, he came back happy and clean. Joanne updated me every day with pictures and let me know how he was getting on. She’s a lovely lady who clearly loves dogs and I knew our boy was being well looked after and loved!”
“Sarah was great! We have a puppy who wasn't fully vaccinated and she accommodated our asks (no public walks or other dogs in the house). She took great care of our puppy and will definitely use her again!”

“Carol was fantastic with our Roxy. She treated her as if she was her own dog. It is not easy leaving a member of the family with a stranger, but after meeting Carol I felt like our Roxy would be in good hands. I highly recommend Carol.”

“Brittany was an amazing sitter ! I’m so happy I booked her! My Dog was so comfortable and happy during her stay. Brittany was very communicative and very understanding and accommodating with my delay in arrival back to town. I will definitely be booking her again in the future.”

“Robin was great with Delvis while we were away for 10 days. We’ve used her before and were happy she was available again, even though we live a bit farther away now. She kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which we really appreciated. Delvis was well cared for, and it was nice knowing he was with someone we already knew and trusted. Would happily book with Robin again!”

“Jemma and her family were wonderful with my pup! Petey stayed at their place for 4 nights while I was away on a business trip. Jemma sent pictures and descriptions that put my mind at ease - I knew that Petey was having a blast! He went on lots of neighborhood walks and even to a dog park! He was allowed to relax on the couch with the family and it looks like he got lots of cuddles from the kids 😀 I would highly recommend Jemma and will definitely reach out to her the next time I'm out of town without Petey! 🐕”

Christine was amazing once again! We love the fact that she is adaptable and so caring. We knew Macarena was having a great time and being loved and cared for with all the updates and pictures received. We are never this long away from her and when we picked her up she was calmed like no time went by. Definitely recommend Christine! Her and Jippy are just the best! Thank you Christine!

We recently moved to the area and didn’t know anyone, so finding someone we felt comfortable leaving our pet with was really important to us. After reading Kristen's description, I reached out, and we couldn’t have had a more positive experience. She was so kind, sweet, and caring, and she kept us updated by sending pictures throughout the stay. Those little updates really helped me relax and feel confident that our pet was in good hands. We’re so happy we found her and have already booked another stay! Highly recommend!

Carol was a great communicator and treated my dog so well. My dog was comfortable and happy in her stay 🥰 even upon pick up my pup kept playing with toys in the home instead of running out the door to leave with me. It’s great to know somebody is home almost all day with her and she is loved!

I could tell that my little dog felt a connection to Kaitlyn and her family. She didn't seem like she wanted to leave when it was time for me to pick her up. Kaitlyn sent photos and answered my questions throughout my dog's stay. I would be happy to use her services again.

As always, our pups loved their vacation with Lisa and Harry. Instead of hiding when they see us packing suitcases, our pups dance when they hear, “Do you want to stay with Lisa and Harry?” They love it there, and we don’t worry about them at all during our vacation.

They are excellent !!! Very loving and caring for our pets pets are for babies. Especially dealing with our hyper eccentric puppy Cooper lol. He even seems much calmer when he came home .They took excellent care and pictures and videos constant updates and always communicated with us. We are so thankful to have had them to care for our pets and such a great experience. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

My wife and I recently left our cockapoo with Agnieszka and her family for 5 days and were very happy with the frequent follow-up and photos...along with her and her family's kindness - not to mention her daughter's immediate love for Duncan! We would not hesitate to use her again!

We couldn’t be happier with the care Lexi received during her stay from July 18th through July 28th. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in such loving and capable hands. We especially appreciated the regular updates, photos, and messages throughout our trip. It was so reassuring to see how happy, comfortable, and well cared for she was while we were away. It was clear that Lexi was treated like part of the family, and we are incredibly grateful for the kindness, attention, and love she received. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our girl. We would absolutely trust you with Lexi again and highly recommend you to anyone looking for a caring and dependable Rover sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Wilbon home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wilbon.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Wilbon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
