Availability
I am a retired teacher and am home most days. I have various errands during the day, or other things, but nothing that would interfere with visiting guests.

Safety, trust & environment
I no longer have a dog of my own but our visiting fur babies ( and the grands) have a fenced yard with doggy door. Dogs are secure inside the back yard. I care for one dog, that loves the back yard and wants to stay out all day, weather permitting. He is safe and secure there with water and shade, and comes in when he is ready. But most of the dogs come inside. They are free to go out to play and do their business.

Information Carol S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has specific behavior concerns I need to know about. My favorite breeds are the smaller dogs that like to cuddle and sleep with me if they are over night. But I've cared for a 40 pound labradoodle that thought she was a lap dog and was a good couch companion. If a larger dog is not trained on a leash or has aggressive behaviors while walking, I will not be able to walk a large dog. But I have a good size yard that will keep them active
A typical day
We will be able to take walks to check out new smells and go to neighborhood doggy parks, if appropriate. and play in back yard.

Pet care experience
Have owned my own dogs and cats over the years. As they've grown older and passed on, I have satisfied my love for animals by caring for my kids' pets when they go on vacation. I've gone to their house and stayed, but also they have stayed in my home while mom and dad are away. We go for walks, and I have a fenced in yard and doggy door them to come and go as they please. Like my grandkids: I love having them and playing, but I also love the flexibility of sending them back to mom and dad!

Reviews

My dog enjoyed her stay and was well cared for!

I am very happy with the care Carol has provided to Maya. She is very kind and attentive to Maya and her needs. She has a beautiful yard where Maya feels very calm and at ease.

The absolute best! Will use again!

Carol is one of the best sitters I've used through Rover. She was very kind and skilled with making my Poodle, Maximus feel very comfortable and at home, in her home. I loved the fact that she had a wonderful fenced-in yard for Maximus to run around in, which is his favorite thing to do when not playing with other dogs.
