“Absolutely wonderful experience with Kordula and her family! She was very flexible with our changing travel plans due to weather and sent daily photos and updates. Thank you!”

“We had an initial meet n greet the week before and they seemed to click with the house! They were kind of chill when I picked them up which was unusual but really cool. I was sent pics of them lounging on the couch, so cute. Thanks to Kristen, Paula, Bentley the moyan and to the cute teeny bopper (sorry I forgot your name hon but I'm old now so please forgive.) I feel like my pups had their best first experience with some lovely pet sitters. Best regards, Diane”

“Joanne and her dogs are amazing. We left our two pups with them and they came home happy and tired, like they spent the whole day playing. It's the first time we felt comfortable leaving them with someone. Thank you for the excellent care Joanne!”
“Leaving Gwen is always stressful, but they took excellent care of her and made the whole experience so much easier. They were attentive, loving, and incredibly kind from start to finish. They kept me updated with great communication and lots of pictures, took Gwen on a car ride to the park, even gave her a bath, and treated her like she was part of their own family. The best part was coming home to a happy, relaxed Gwen. I couldn’t have asked for better care and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“Kelley and her family are great! My dog Darcy always has an amazing time with her and her family and is treated like one of her own pets! I would recommend Kelley to anyone needing a sitter :)”

“Duke had such a great time with Amber and her family! He was actually really sad on the way back home after spending several days playing with Sam, their dog. Amber took wonderful care of Duke and kept me updated throughout his stay with photos, which was such a relief and meant a lot to us. She was also very responsive and always quick to answer any questions or inquiries I had. I would definitely trust Amber and her family with Duke again whenever we need a sitter. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend!”

“Dean did a fantastic job boarding our 6 month old Boxer puppy. It was our first time leaving him anywhere for an extended period of time, and Dean was great about providing daily updates and pictures. We will definitely be repeat clients!”

“Carol was fantastic with our Roxy. She treated her as if she was her own dog. It is not easy leaving a member of the family with a stranger, but after meeting Carol I felt like our Roxy would be in good hands. I highly recommend Carol.”

“Tania is an amazing person and an excellent sitter. She took very good care of our pet Teddy. He had an amazing time playing in the backyard. He looked so happy and content in the photos. Tania took him out for walks and even played with him. She took really good care of Teddy. Thank you so much Tania.”

“Danielle was so great with our new puppy. Our pup very young and we unexpectedly adopted her after she was abandoned near our home. Danielle took her in and was so kind and receptive to all the puppy needs and it was clear that are puppy had the best time with her. We will definitely be using her again— highly recommend!!!”

“Karollyne was great with Bizzle. She was kind and understanding and really managed to build trust with Bizzle in a short period of time. Bizzle is a senior dog and just needs gentle care and understanding which Karollyne did a great job! Highly recommended.”

“I always get nervous when I leave our baby with someone new but Vanessa made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She pays attention to details and even let us do a meet and greet before hand at her home. She took amazing care of Sadie and sent me daily updates with pictures that made being away from her so much easier. Thank you Vanessa!”

“Kirsten and her family took wonderful care of George. They ensured he was comfortable in his new environment and gave him plenty of play time in her amazing yard. She treated him like a family member and sent daily updates and pictures. I'm sure he can't wait to go back! Thank you, Kirsten!”

About: I have 20 years of experience caring for animals and have worked professionally in pet care, dog daycare, and grooming environments. I previously worked at PetSmart supervising pet hotel operations and at a grooming salon and daycare managing daily care and customer needs. I also help my husband with our at home grooming salon. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and needs, and I understand how important patience, safety, and attention to detail are. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away! As a stay-at-home mom with one child and two dogs of our own, I have flexibility in my schedule and can coordinate pet care around my family’s routine. I’m happy to discuss availability with pet parents in advance to find times that work for everyone. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I’ll do my best to accommodate feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and other care needs. Safety, trust, and making every pet feel at home are my top priorities! I have two extremely friendly dogs of my own who love to play and can help visiting dogs feel more comfortable and welcome in a new environment. With my 20 years of pet care experience, including working in pet hotels, daycare, and grooming, I understand the importance of patience, supervision, and paying attention to each dog’s personality and needs. I always follow pet parents’ instructions and routines, and I want every dog to feel safe, loved, and cared for while away from their family. I’m happy to discuss introductions and make sure all dogs are comfortable together before playtime.

This is the third time that we've left our Junior with Carol and Junior always feels at home and relaxed with her. Carol takes very good care of Junior and regularly sends us picture updates. Communication with Carol is easy and she promptly responds. I'm sure this will not be the last time that Carol and Junior will see each other. Thanks again, Carol. God bless you always.

Staci did an amazing job with boarding my dog, Bailey, over a weekend. He came home happy, and Staci actively provided updates and photos of Bailey during the two night boarding. Staci's great communication and professionalism during the boarding put me and my family at ease. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.

Amber was AMAZING! She was incredibly responsive, kind, and took the absolute best care of Ms. Lola. She provided multiple updates, and we never had to worry about Lola while we were out of town. I would 100% book with her again, she and her dog Charlie are the best!

I left my 1½-year-old Boxer with Dean for six days while traveling internationally, and I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! From the very beginning, Dean was great about communicating and keeping me updated on how my boy was doing. Most importantly, he gave me peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while I was so far away. My Boxer is still very much in his puppy stage and has a LOT of energy! When I saw Dean's backyard during our meet and greet, I knew I had found the perfect place for him. His yard is AMAZING, with plenty of room to run around and burn off all that puppy energy. He even learned how to use the doggie door! Needless to say, he came home completely exhausted, which tells me he had the time of his life! I jokingly told Dean that I was almost reluctant to leave a review because I didn't want to let everyone in on my little secret! Once people discover what a wonderful dog sitter he is, I'm sure his calendar will fill up quickly! For anyone who gets nervous about leaving their dog behind, especially when traveling far from home, I can't recommend Dean enough. There's nothing better than knowing your four-legged family member is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away. Thank you, Dean, for taking such great care of my boy! We'll definitely be back! If I could give Dean more than 10 stars, I absolutely would!

Emily is absolutely wonderful!! From the very beginning she was very responsive, asked great questions regarding our pets’ routine, and made us feel very comfortable about leaving him in her hands. During our time away, she provided updates at least twice a day (with pictures which was SO nice). She took him on walks and updated us on his eating and what he did each day. Could not recommend Emily more! Thanks Emily!

This was the first time ever leaving our little dog with anyone and so who we used was very important to us. We saw Lisa's 5 star reviews and thought she might be a good choice, and she was very good. When we dropped off Cricket, Lisa was keeping another small dog through Rover and her sweet dog was there too. Cricket was somewhat scared and overwhelmed as she had not spent much time with other dogs. When we were leaving, Lisa took Cricket into her office away from the other dogs so she could calm down and get used to Lisa. She worked slowly up to all 3 dogs being around each other and from there they did well together. Cricket was there 7 days and all went well. If we decide to take another trip without Crick, we will certainly see if Lisa is available.

Kaitlin and Jeff took great care of my dog, Maple. Their kids and their dog (Sox) provided Maple the perfect company while we were out of town. Maple being a fussy eater, we were a bit worried but Kaitlin made sure Maple had his food the way he liked it. I’d definitely recommend Kaitlin and Jeff for all your dog sitting needs.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Kennebec can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Kennebec home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Kennebec.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kennebec. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
