Rissa was great with our pup Charlie. He is normally shy but warmed up quickly to her! She has excellent communication skills and so the updates were spot on. It really made us comfortable while we were away knowing Charlie was being well cared for by Rissa with snuggles, nice walks, and playtime. 😊 We would definitely have her again and recommend her care.

About: I have been a pet sitter for years who specializes in dog care and training. I have a zoology degree from NCSU and 1.5 yrs experience as a kennel technician. During the school year I am a teacher so I am looking for income over the summer working remotely. Looking to supplement another part-time job. Currently I live in a townhouse with my dog 6 year old dog Mickey and 1 year old cat Guinness. Mickey is a 6yr old lab Dalmatian mix who is well trained and loves to play with other pups. I typically love setting up dog play dates and walks. Guinness is a spunky 1 year old black cat. Social, but does his own thing.

Mike took great care of our two doggos. He was very patient with Harper, who is much more timid and gave lots of love to Archie who loves the attention. Mike took the time to meet our dogs and ensure that they recognized him by the time he had to take care of them on his own. I would be happy to have him watch our dogs again in the future!

About: I love taking care of animals! I have years of experience taking care of my neighbors animals and even have experience working with animals in clinics! To top off my love for animals, I am a pre-vet student at Mississippi State University! Important to note: for January 12-May 14 bookings, I will only be available in the Starkville MS area. All other times I am available in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Rover will be a valuable job for me as I try to earn my experience hours for vet school! This means that I will have all day to take care of your pets and can make extra or emergency visits on top of my regularly scheduled visits. I like to come over three times a day, in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I am willing to add more per request, as some dogs need more attention. A typical visit looks like a bathroom break, feeding in the morning and evening, and cuddle or play time depending on your pet!

About: I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs, whether that’s an energetic puppy or a slower-paced senior. I’m experienced with administering medications, maintaining feeding routines, and recognizing early signs of stress or illness. I prioritize a calm, structured environment so pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. What sets me apart is my strong communication and organization—I keep owners updated with regular photos and notes, and I follow instructions closely. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and treat every pet like my own, making sure they get both the care and affection they’re used to at home. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine because my I work from home, which allows for a flexible and consistent schedule. I am able to provide regular potty breaks, walks, feeding times, and plenty of attention throughout the day—not just mornings and evenings. I also have three active, hands-on kids who love animals, so your pet will get lots of interaction, playtime, and affection in a safe, supervised environment. Because I am home most of the time, pets are rarely left alone and are part of a structured household routine. I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment whether your pet is in my home or I’m caring for them in yours. In my home, pets enjoy lots of supervised outdoor time in a large backyard, along with daily walks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles. I keep routines consistent with feeding schedules, potty breaks, and any specific instructions you provide to make the transition stress-free. In a client’s home, I focus on maintaining your pet’s normal routine and environment as closely as possible—feeding, walks, play, and companionship—while also keeping your home tidy and secure. I prioritize attention, safety, and communication so you feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

I am so thankful that I found JR to take care of my precious pup! I’ve always been able to leave her with family or friends and neighbors when away from home so this was the first time having someone else take care of her. And I couldn’t have found anyone better than JR. She bonded quickly with my dog and they had a great time together. Always updated me with great photos and updates and took great care of the house as well. I just hope she’s available next vacation!

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was young till now with my two dogs, and two cats. I love to hike and walk with my dogs. They also love playing ball or chasing toys around in home. Cats are older now so they just want love and pets. I work full-time but that doesn’t stop me from having time to make sure our animals get play and care when I get home. I’m available weekends or after 5 pm for any care for your animal :) I have two dogs that are dog friendly and a crate if needed. I have a park right across the street to have long walks or play in grass or they even have a dog park.

Chelsea provided house sitting for our French Bulldog and English Bulldog for 2 weeks while we were overseas. She sent daily updates and pictures. The dogs seemed happy in the pics! There was a problem with our air conditioner which was taken care of the very next day. She handled the situation like a champ. We had to extend our stay for one extra day. Chelsea was very flexible and accommodated our request to add another day. We returned home with our house in order and very excited dogs. We will continue to use her services because she is dependable, flexible and kind.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Meyling stay in our home as a live-in pet sitter in December. From the moment she arrived, our animals took to her immediately, which gave us complete peace of mind. She was caring, attentive, and clearly very comfortable around animals. Throughout our time away, Meyling kept us consistently updated with messages and photos, which we truly appreciated and found very reassuring. Our home was well cared for, and our pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved when we returned. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Meyling to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring pet sitter, and we would happily have her back again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Wilbon

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wilbon on Rover is $37.8 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,007 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wilbon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wilbon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wilbon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wilbon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wilbon. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
