Christine was truly the best sitter we could have asked for, and Honey and Maple absolutely adored her. She watched my girls for two weeks while we were overseas, and I honestly could not have felt better about leaving them with her. She treated them like they were her own and was so attentive to all of their little quirks. Somehow, without me even telling her, she figured out things like how they like to be tucked in when they go to sleep. 😂 She really got to know them and their personalities while we were gone. Honey and Maple are also very much sighthounds, so they come with some specific challenges. They can be picky about eating, and when they get playing too hard, they have a tendency to accidentally tear their skin. Christine handled both so well. She played with them constantly to keep them active and interested in eating, and she was so attentive to their play that she could redirect them before they got too rough. I came home to two happy dogs with no issues at all. She was also an amazing communicator and took great care of our house. More than anything, it was obvious how much she genuinely loved the dogs. I felt like she cared for them just as well as I would have, which is honestly the highest compliment I could give a sitter. I would trust Christine with Honey and Maple again without hesitation, and we will absolutely be hiring her again. If you are looking for someone who will really get to know your dogs and care for them like her own, I cannot recommend her enough. ❤️

Dean did an amazing job with our girl over the 4th of July weekend. We reached out to him shortly before our trip and he was able to not only accommodate our requests, but surpass what we expected. He comforted our girls during fireworks, loved on them for many hours each day, and made sure they were safe and happy! Would highly recommend Dean & his services.

Rissa was great with our pup Charlie. He is normally shy but warmed up quickly to her! She has excellent communication skills and so the updates were spot on. It really made us comfortable while we were away knowing Charlie was being well cared for by Rissa with snuggles, nice walks, and playtime. 😊 We would definitely have her again and recommend her care.

About: Hi! My name is Phinette! Growing up, I have always been a huge animal lover. As a child, I had three small dogs who I am so grateful I got to grow up with until they were in their late teens. My family rescued our current pit bull mix, Oakley, 6 years ago, who is now reaching his elderly years, as well as six cats! I truly love seeing the different personalities in each animal and finding out what makes them unique. I am great with high energy dogs and am very active, so I would love to help get their energy out with walks/runs! I am currently a Physical Therapist Assistant student and attend school Monday through Thursday, typically from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Because of my school schedule, I am most available for pet care in the early mornings and evenings during the week, as well as anytime on the weekends. I would love to incorporate pet care into my schedule! Overnight stays work best for me on the days I have school, but I am also available for drop-in visits and dog walking in the afternoons/evenings or anytime on the weekends. I am more than happy to work with you to find a schedule that works best for you and your pet and to make sure they are well taken care of and receive all the attention they need! As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care. I also know how important schedules and routines can be in keeping your pet feeling safe and comfortable while you are gone. I will make sure to follow your instructions as closely as possible and care for your pet the way you would yourself. I'm also more than happy to accommodate any additional needs or little quirks your pet may have to help them feel as safe and comfortable as possible while you are away!

About: As a lifelong dog lover and proud pug owner, I know pets are family—not just animals. I’ll take the time to learn your dog’s routine, personality, and preferences so they receive consistent, loving care while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, medication reminders, or simply providing companionship, I’ll make sure your dog feels comfortable and happy. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and communication, because I know how reassuring that is when someone else is caring for your best friend. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and occasional overnight care before and after work, as well as weekends. I’ll always communicate my availability clearly and make sure your pet receives dependable, attentive care and plenty of love while you’re away. As someone who works in the veterinary industry and has a dog of my own, I understand how important trust, communication, and consistency are. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own while following your instructions closely to ensure they stay happy, healthy, and safe.

Vanessa did a great job watching our dogs and really went above and beyond when a freak storm rolled through and knocked out the power at our house for over nine hours! She was an absolute trooper and kept our dogs comfortable and happy through it all. That level of dedication and care really exemplifies the level of care she provides her customers and its why we continue to trust her to watch our dogs when we go on vacation.

About: Bye Raleigh, Hello Fuquay Varina! I have been living in Fuquay with my boyfriend, we are currently saving up for our wedding! We know how expensive dog boarding can be and want to provide great service at a reasonable price! We both have watched pets for neighbors, families, and friends for many years. I previously watched animals in Raleigh on Rover when I was living the single life. Andrew works from home daily while I am hybrid so your dog will have very minimal time without human/dog interaction. We do have 2 dogs (65 pound lab staffy mix & 30 pound terrier mix) and 2 cats, the dogs are very dog friendly and the cats stay upstairs and usually avoid unknown dogs. We prefer if a dog is cat friendly but can make accommodations to keep the animals separate if a dog is not cat friendly. We have a large fenced in back yard and have a good walkable neighborhood for dog walks! We will take great care of your pup while you are away! Your dog will come home exhausted from a fun weekend of play! I am hybrid and Andrew works from home, it is easy for us to provide round the clock supervision for pets. We both have weekends completely off and make the weekends all about the doggos Our dogs will keep your dog/dogs company, both are very dog friendly and not toy or food aggressive. We have a crate your dog can use or dog can be uncrated depending on preference. At night we prefer all the dogs to sleep in our room or to stay downstairs with a baby gate so the cats can roam.

She took time to get to know them at a meet and greet before booking, she asked questions, she showed interest in making sure they were well taken care of. She sent photos daily with check ins during the day. She is so kind and thoughtful. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her, and I will definitely work with her again. Our pets loved her!

We always feel comfortable when Maria cares for our dogs. Her care is very personalized and she has a knack for understanding what each pet needs. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Chalybeate Springs on Rover is $57.72 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 2,882 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Chalybeate Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Chalybeate Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Chalybeate Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chalybeate Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chalybeate Springs. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
