“This was my first-time using Rover and couldn't be happier. Maria was a wonderful sitter for our two kittens for 6 days. Her communication was excellent, and she was very confident, efficient and friendly. WE all loved getting the updates each day and seeing photos of Penny and Kylo Ren as we missed them so much! Kylo Ren was a really scaredy-cat… every time we had friends at house, he was hidden and kept there for hours. Maria helped him to come out from his shell and now he is more confident. No words cannot describe how important was her help. I can't tell how great it was to know we had someone as competent as Maria looking out for the kitties and making sure they were okay. I will definitely hire Maria again.”

About: Hello! I’ve grown up with dogs almost all of my life. The only time I didn’t have a pet was when I first moved away from home, but I got my wonderful dog, Poppy, as soon as possible. Followed by our gentle Snoopy and now Kevin Bacon the cat. I look forward to making your pet feel loved and cared for however long they need it!! Please feel free to reach out if you have questions! I work remotely from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. I do have a toddler at home but can coordinate care or bring him along when possible. I’m happy to follow your specific instructions for walks or drop in visits. I’ll treat your home like my own and make sure your pets feel as comfortable as possible.
“Brooke was great. Very punctual and took great care of Oreo. He even came out from under the bed to see her and he doesn’t usually come out for people he hasn’t seen numerous times. Was very happy for that. Would recommend her to others and will def be using her again. Thank you Brooke”

“Mia (Ching Yu) was a delight to work with and our dog loved her! She was very attentive to our dog and her needs and spent a lot of time with her during her visits either playing fetch or taking her on walks. I would highly recommend Mia to anyone who’s looking for in home care for their dog while they are away. We will definitely rebook with Mia when we go on our next trip!”

“Anna was so amazing with our two dogs. She made sure they were well taken care of and loved during her drop in visit. We will have her take care of our dogs again in the future!”

“Caitlyn responded quickly to my request and was flexible with her schedule. She showed up every day at the agreed-upon time to feed and play with my cat. Caitlyn did everything we agreed to and more! and I am very happy with her help. My cat Ralph warmed up to her right away when she came for the meet and greet. I have booked her service again and will continue working with her in the future 👍🏻👍🏻”
About: Hi! My name is Phinette, I have always been a huge animal lover since I was little and have had a variety of pets throughout my life. Growing up, I had three small dogs, a rabbit for the past 7 years (recently got a second!), have had 5 pet rats, and my family also currently has 6 cats and a pitbull mix, so being around and loving animals has been part of my life since I was born! With that being said, I am more than comfortable caring for any type of animal whether they need special care or just extra love and attention, I would be happy to help! I have lots of experience not only caring for my own pets, but other peoples as well, so I know how important it is to pay attention to the small details in an animals day-to-day to help make them feel as comfortable as possible while their family is away. I am currently a Physical Therapist Assistant student and attend school Monday through Thursday, typically from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Because of my school schedule, I am most available for pet care in the early mornings and evenings during the week, as well as anytime on the weekends. I would love to incorporate pet care into my schedule! Overnight stays work best for me on the days I have school, but I am also available for drop-in visits and dog walking in the afternoons/evenings or anytime on the weekends. I am more than happy to work with you to find a schedule that works best for you and your pet and to make sure they are well taken care of and receive all the attention they need! As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care. I also know how important schedules and routines can be in keeping your pet feeling safe and comfortable while you are gone. I will make sure to follow your instructions as closely as possible and care for your pet the way you would yourself. I'm also more than happy to accommodate any additional needs or little quirks your pet may have to help them feel as safe and comfortable as possible while you are away!
“David was exactly what I was looking for in a pet sitter. He made sure to make me feel at ease being away from my pups! My older dog was sick when I was away and he prioritized communicating with me to ensure my dog was taken care of the way I wanted. I will continue to hire him and I recommend you do as well if you want someone reliable to care for your animals. Thank You David!”

“Absolutely Amazing Dog Sitter! I cannot say enough wonderful things about my dog sitter! She went above and beyond in every possible way while I was out of the country. Since our original walk-through, my entire setup had changed, and I completely forgot to update her on several important details—including the special food that one of my dogs requires. Not only did she handle everything with grace and professionalism, but she also took the initiative to find the best solution for my dogs. She even went out of her way to purchase high-quality meat to mix with their food to make sure they were well taken care of. That level of care and attention meant the world to me. She kept me updated with plenty of pictures and communicated exceptionally well throughout the entire stay, giving me complete peace of mind while I was traveling. Because of her, I was able to enjoy my trip knowing my babies were in the best hands possible. I will absolutely be booking with her again, and I already plan to use her services in the next couple of months. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares for your pets as if they were her own, don’t hesitate to book her. My only warning? Don’t book her on the same days I need her—she’s that good! 😊 Thank you again for taking such amazing care of my fur babies. You are truly the best!”

“Very attentive pet sitter. We have e a cat that needs meds, and she was able and willing to smash up the medication and get into his food. Another of our cats was feeling under the weather and she communicated this to us and was able to care for her. Highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”
About: Friendly, Reliable Pet Sitter I’ve loved animals my whole life and have always had dogs and cats as part of my family. I’ve also lived with roommates’ dogs and cats, so I’m comfortable caring for pets with all kinds of personalities and routines. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—whether that means going for walks, playing in the yard, giving plenty of attention and cuddles, or simply keeping them company while you’re away. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I’m also comfortable helping with oral medications when needed. Beyond pet care, I’m happy to help with small things around your home while you’re away, such as watering plants or gardens and taking out the trash. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pets—and your home—are in good hands! 🐾
“I couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the moment we met, she was so sweet and welcoming to Jalapeno. Throughout the stay, she sent daily pictures and updates that gave me complete peace of mind. It was clear that Jalapeno was very well cared for and happy. I will definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter!”

Maria was amazing with our 4 cats! My husband and I have anxiety about leaving them & Maria eased all of our anxieties! The was super communicative and sent lots of photos! She even brought her own toy which our cats loved!! We’ve asked her to come back for the next time we are out of town :)

Anna was super polite, friendly and responsive. Anna made sure to meet with me and my little furball prior to our booking. Once it was time to check in on my cat she spent time with him. I believe that my cat had a good time with her as he’s super affectionate and friendly. I will for sure be booking Anna in the future for any cat sitting services. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
