“My cat is picky about people, but she loves Jasmine. Very reliable. Always provides great photos of your pet. And brings in packages if things arrive! I strongly recommend her.”

“This was my first time using rover to have someone check on my cat while away and I am so glad I found Maria! She came over to meet Jasper and asked great questions and took wonderful care of him with detailed updates. I am always very anxious leaving Jasper but this was the most comfortable I’ve felt and I already plan to rebook!”

“Brooke was great. Very punctual and took great care of Oreo. He even came out from under the bed to see her and he doesn’t usually come out for people he hasn’t seen numerous times. Was very happy for that. Would recommend her to others and will def be using her again. Thank you Brooke”

“She was wonderful with Moonie and Cobain! Great communication throughout the stay. She let me know right away when Cobain wasn't feeling well and kept a close eye on him after. I felt completely at ease having her watch them. Would book again without hesitation!”

“I'm always happy to have Alexis watch my babies. They are all very comfortable with her, even my literal scaredy cat! Alexis notices the small changes in their daily behavior, and handled giving one of my cats multiple medications during my trip. I never worry about my boys when Alexis is with them!”
“Emily was great with our two dogs over the weekend! Communication was solid throughout, and it was clear our dogs really liked her. We felt totally at ease knowing they were in good hands. Would definitely book with her again!”

“David went above and beyond to put our minds at ease about the care of our cats, and of our home, while we were away. He’s a great communicator who kept us in the loop about when he was able to visit, how the cats were doing, and anything else that needed to be brought to our attention. Would gladly hire again!”

About: I grew up with an animal loving parent who taught me the value of respecting and caring for animals. She always had multiple dogs and cats in our house that I aided in the care for. As an adult I now have my own two cats! I work from home doing a very laid back IT job that gives me plenty of free time. I can be very flexible with my schedule. As long as there is a stable internet connection I can stay for long periods of time. My work hours are Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. I only request to arrive at the location either before 9 AM or after 5 PM My cats live inside and I make sure to give them all the attention and play that ask for as well as keeping their environment enriched. They are on a feeding schedule of three meals a day including one treat and lots of cuddles!!
“Allison is amazing!!!!! I was looking for a sitter 2 days before we left for a last minute trip, and she responded within minutes of me asking if she was available. She is so kind and respectful, she also has knowledge on Cat behavior that made Monty comfortable with her. Monty was so good with her and she was amazing with him. I will definitely be booking with her in the future as we travel a lot! Thank you Alison!!!!!!”

“Very attentive pet sitter. We have e a cat that needs meds, and she was able and willing to smash up the medication and get into his food. Another of our cats was feeling under the weather and she communicated this to us and was able to care for her. Highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”

About: I’ve provided dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since my teenage years. I have experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities. I make sure to follow each pet’s routine and individual needs are followed while keeping owners updated while they are away! Pet care has been part of my daily routine since childhood. I plan my schedule around each pet’s needs such as feeding, walks, and playtime, as well as medications if necessary. I make sure I’m aware of where the dog/s is and what they’re doing at all times. If there is a fenced in yard I like to spend time out there with them especially. I also like to go on a multiple walks a day; both short and long.
About: Hello! My name is Nicole and I have one pup of my own. Her name is Kona and she’s a Labrador/English Pointer Mix. I enjoy spending time with dogs and cats of all sizes and will tire them out with play and exercise! I have been around dogs and puppies my whole life and come from a large family so I'm comfortable around many people and furry friends! I look forward to being your sitter/walker! I work from home so I’m available to care for dogs all throughout the day. I have a crate at home if needed and a couple extra dog beds. We have land for dogs to roam, but also walk regularly. My dog is a great companion and loves playing with other dogs! We don’t have a fence so dogs with good recall will enjoy it here the most.
“Courtney has been my go to sitter and hasn’t disappointed once. Every time I see the pictures of my baby girl she looks like she has been the happiest she has ever been. Great job Courtney thanks for all the help!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mamers. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
