“Brooke was great. Very punctual and took great care of Oreo. He even came out from under the bed to see her and he doesn’t usually come out for people he hasn’t seen numerous times. Was very happy for that. Would recommend her to others and will def be using her again. Thank you Brooke”

“Piper is on time and does a great job making sure my two pups get their mid-day potty break and some sun and some exercise. It’s nice knowing I don’t have to rush home right after work to let them out because they’ve had that time with her.”
“Carol did a great job! She was easy to work with and prompt with communication. Our dog can be nervous with strangers but he seemed to have no problems at all with Carol! Highly recommended.”

“Great sitter. Takes in any deliveries that may be left on my porch, my pups always seem happy & well cared for, relays any needed info. Will text asks questions if needed (rarely). Dependable, professional & caring.”

“Emily was great with our two dogs over the weekend! Communication was solid throughout, and it was clear our dogs really liked her. We felt totally at ease knowing they were in good hands. Would definitely book with her again!”

About: Will treat your pet just as if it’s my own. If you need a bath I will. Love giving back to community. I am also a fire fighter. I work full time for my parents company m-f 8-5, can take pets out during lunch break and after work. In addition have darts on Wednesday but if close by I could swing by and spend time before going darts. I treat pets just as if they are my own pet/ child cause I know how special they are to people. Pets bring joy to me
“Heather was INCREDIBLE! I have a rather large family of kitties and she didn't hesitate to come and learn about each of them, spend time with them, and make them feel comfortable while I was traveling. I would trust her to come back anytime and may be booking her again soon as we finalize our moving plans. A kind person, sent me plenty of photos, has great experience, and my cats loved her. They were far less stressed having Heather come by each day to play with them, feed them, take care of their litter, etc. I cannot say enough good things!”

“Gigi was so wonderful! She was exceedingly understanding and patient with multiple meds and a highly skittish dog. She understands dog behavior and worked to gain their trust and come up with creative solutions to meet the pups' needs! Will definitely book her again!!”

“Great friend to our dog! Brittany gives good reports of her visits and makes sure your pet is cared for and attended to properly. Our dog is always happy to have her checkin on him.”

About: Our puppy is with us whether we're mountain biking, hiking, camping, hitting softballs for her to fetch, playing ping pong, or doing projects around the house. She's our shadow and we love her. We currently live with four cats and a medium sized mutt and we love them all! We went to get a kitten 2 months ago which would have given us 3 pets, but we ended up with three inseparable siblings. I've personally only trained one puppy but I have a husband at my side that's trained many (many)-a-dog; so I have his experience up my sleeve for training. I'll keep your baby/babies happy until you come home if they require walking, playing, or staying overnight with them. I'm home full-time and we do have a large fenced back yard so staying here IS an option, but if you would like for your baby to stay with us during the day, we'd have to make sure our K-9 kids like each other first. I'm happy and friendly and you should pick me to care for your pup (and, or course, any other animals)!
“My dogs were very happy and healthy when we arrived home. They definitely enjoyed having Annalise stop by to see them and walk them. She did very well with pics and notes from each visit. Definitely would book again!! And 100% recommend.”

“Kayley did great with our dogs and put my mind at ease having someone to drop in and let them out during the day. When I got pictures of our normally very timid dog sitting next to her on the couch on day 1, I knew they were in good hands. We have already rebooked her for additional days!”

“Chelsea was great and bonded with my 4 cats (some skittish) right away. The feedings went well over my 4 day holiday judging from all the photos Chelsea sent me twice a day. Plus messages from her everyday which made me feel even more secure. I highly recommend Chelsea for all your pet's needs.”

“Loren was an amazing pet sitter. She was incredibly communicative, loving, and caring with my dogs. Always punctual, attentive, and truly impossible to improve on. She was consistently willing to help, very service-oriented, and made us feel completely at ease. I highly recommend her and would absolutely trust her again with my pets.”

“Grace was great!! She came by as scheduled and communicated with us daily with pictures and messages! I think by the end of the week she had a couple of new kitty BFFs! We will definitely use her again!!”

Brooke is great. Would recommend her to anyone. Chase can be shy at first and she was patient and finally got him to go outside. She also stayed in the drive until we closed the garage door. We were out and in a dead zone and we were having trouble getting the door closed but finally succeeded. Brooke stayed patiently until we got it closed. Thank you so much Brooke for taking such good care of Chase and our house. Until next time.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Coats stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Coats. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
