“This was my first time booking with Rover and I’m very happy with how it turned out all thanks to Emily! She took lots of photos, let me know how the time went with Birdie and I will definitely be reaching out to Emily for future visits.”

“Jennifer was amazing and such a huge help for us during a really unpredictable time while we were waiting for the arrival of our son. She was kind enough to stay on standby for drop-in visits with our dog, and the day we got admitted to the hospital she was incredibly easy to get ahold of, accommodating, and flexible. She sent us tons of updates and pictures which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was very clear our dog felt comfortable and happy with her, and that meant everything to us. We’re so grateful for her help and will absolutely be using her again in the future!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our special girl. I’m glad she went out to the bathroom for you. It gave us a great night out and a great first experience.”

“I highly recommend Alicia as a pet sitter. She took care of our dog for a week with drop-in visits while we were in Los Angeles for our son's wedding. She sent us updates and photos with each visit. Our dog had some shyness issues with her at first, but Alicia quickly won her over with kindness and patience. In addition, Alicia went above and beyond when she spent over an hour trying to get our dog inside from our big fenced-in yard. She called me for advice and between the two of us (me in LA and she in FV) finally got our dog inside and came up with a plan to prevent the same thing happening again and still let our dog enjoy the outside. Thank you so much, Alicia! We really appreciate the great care you gave our dog!!!! :-)”

“Liam was amazing with our anxious pittie and anti-social senior cat. You can tell he is very empathetic with animals and has a calming effect on them. Liam provided daily updates and went above and beyond. We highly recommend Liam!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for around 30 years. I have both fostered and owned animals as well as watched other. I have owned my dog since she was a puppy, so I have experience with younger dogs. I have helped family friends with their older dogs who need help moving around and cannot stay home alone. I have also long term fostered a special needs dog. I am an empty nester and when my children moved out they took their pets. I’ll be able to devote my time and attention to your pets as you need me to. During my previous time pet sitting I have stayed at the owner’s home as well as done 2-3 times a day check ins. When doing these I play by house rules. Crating a dog is not a problem as that is what I do with my own. I have pet sat for people who do and do not crate their animals.
About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life and know how to take great care of your canine❤️ I will give your dog plenty of exercise and love! I am available after 5:30 every Monday-Friday and in the mornings before 1pm. I’m available Saturday throughout the whole day. Feel free to reach out! I have a large fenced yard, a well behaved dog to keep your furry friend company and plenty of space to run and play! There is also a pool if your dog likes to swim!
“Brittany is a great relief whenever I need someone to take care of my little puppy. She is super trustworthy and quick to respond! I feel so much better knowing I can have her to take care of my little one.”

About: I have had many different types of dogs in my life, such as a Pomeranian and a golden retriever. I also used to have an olde English bulldog. Our last dog was a Bassett hound/boxer mix. He crossed the rainbow bridge in November 2025. I love taking dogs for long walks in the neighborhood or around different trails. I think it’s important for dogs to get as much exercise as possible. I also would love to throw a ball or lay around and cuddle with your dog. We also have a fenced in backyard for dogs to run and get plenty of exercise. Your dog will be a part of our family when they stay with us. I am available most afternoons. I am also available Friday afternoon through Sunday. I would love to help take care of your dog while you can’t be there. Please just let me know what you and your dog’s needs are and I will help as much as you want. I work full time out of the house, but am gone for no more than 8 hours. Your dog can be let out right before I leave and as soon as I get home. Once I get home I can play and love on your pet. I have a fenced in yard and your dog can run around as much as he wants. I also have two young children that love to chase and play games with your dog. Your dog can lay on the couch, sleep in our bed, or whatever is most comfortable for them.

“Ignacio took wonderful care of our dogs while we were out of town. She sent pictures and updates to let us know how they were doing and we came back to very happy doggies. Will definitely reach out to her again if I need someone to care for the dogs while I'm out of town.”

“Amber is amazing!! I felt so comfortable my whole trip knowing that my husky Storm was in great hands! She was so awesome and met all of his needs. He gets scared and can be stubborn. About: I’ve been able to work with a great deal of animals, formerly handling exotic animals like Caimen Lizards with the Discovery Place Science in Charlotte; now I’m fortunate enough to enjoy the company of walking dogs and taking care of cranky cats! I already have a couple animals; integrating them into my schedule would provide little challenge. I like to be very punctual and on time with my own daily schedule so ensuring their health and wellbeing will be part of this. Follow clients instructions to the letter, ensuring animals are properly taken care of and while feeling safe in their environment. Exercising and playing are essentials!
“Sydnee went above and beyond with my two girls and they love her! I would absolutely recommend her. She gives plenty of updates and pictures which I really appreciate. Thank you so much again for everything Sydnee we will definitely be booking you again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Willow Spring
We cannot recommend our pet sitter enough! She has cared for our pets multiple times, and every experience has been wonderful. She goes above and beyond by not only making sure their basic needs are met, but also taking the time to play with them, give them plenty of attention, and make them feel loved while we’re away. She even helps keep them groomed and looking their best. The peace of mind she provides is priceless. We never have to worry when we’re gone because we know our pets are in caring, capable hands. It’s clear that she truly loves animals and treats them like her own. We always come home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and we are so grateful for the exceptional care she provides.

Our family had a great experience with Emma watching our pup, Buster. She was responsive, caring, and kept us updated with photos and messages while we were away. Buster clearly felt comfortable and well cared for. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her!

Andrea is a great sitter. She always goes above and beyond to make sure our cats are taken care of and our anxieties about leaving them are at ease. She sent photos and videos everyday and was very responsive. This is the second time we've booked with Andrea and we will continue to book with her in the future!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Willow Spring. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
