We had never used Rover before and were super nervous especially because our pup has a severe separation anxiety and doesn’t do well with new people. She responded within mins of sending a request and was able to come meet him the very next day before our flight. Cooper loved her from the start and did amazing. We were still nervous as he had never been alone without us or a family member. She did great and those worries quickly left. About: I’ve been taking care of animals for around 30 years. I have both fostered and owned animals as well as watched other. I have owned my dog since she was a puppy, so I have experience with younger dogs. I have helped family friends with their older dogs who need help moving around and cannot stay home alone. I have also long term fostered a special needs dog. I am an empty nester and when my children moved out they took their pets. I’ll be able to devote my time and attention to your pets as you need me to. During my previous time pet sitting I have stayed at the owner’s home as well as done 2-3 times a day check ins. When doing these I play by house rules. Crating a dog is not a problem as that is what I do with my own. I have pet sat for people who do and do not crate their animals.

About: I've taken care of numerous kinds of dogs, from small to big and everyone has been happy with my services. I am comfortable getting dogs medication and any special treatments. I'm currently a part-time college student with a very open schedule. I will have plenty of time to play with and take care of your animals! About: I have had many different types of dogs in my life, such as a Pomeranian and a golden retriever. I also used to have an olde English bulldog. Our last dog was a Bassett hound/boxer mix. He crossed the rainbow bridge in November 2025. I love taking dogs for long walks in the neighborhood or around different trails. I think it’s important for dogs to get as much exercise as possible. I also would love to throw a ball or lay around and cuddle with your dog. We also have a fenced in backyard for dogs to run and get plenty of exercise. Your dog will be a part of our family when they stay with us. I am available most afternoons. I am also available Friday afternoon through Sunday. I would love to help take care of your dog while you can’t be there. Please just let me know what you and your dog’s needs are and I will help as much as you want. I work full time out of the house, but am gone for no more than 8 hours. Your dog can be let out right before I leave and as soon as I get home. Once I get home I can play and love on your pet. I have a fenced in yard and your dog can run around as much as he wants. I also have two young children that love to chase and play games with your dog. Your dog can lay on the couch, sleep in our bed, or whatever is most comfortable for them.

On weekends, morning play time is always extended, as is snuggle time, and longer walks if the weather allows - but we always spend a ton of time in the backyard, unless our guest prefers naptime on the couch. I take pet care seriously, especially with other people's pets. I treat the animals with the same respect I treat my own, and how I would want someone else to take care of mine. I want the pets I care for to feel safe and happy, and barely miss their owners. That means I am very intentional about their physical as well their emotional needs. And, honestly, I get so much joy meeting new pets and hanging out with them that I want the pets to feel the same way about me. I will follow their normal schedule for feeding, walking, and anything else you ask as part of their routine. I am also very communicative while taking care of your pet(s)! I will check in with you everyday to provide at least a picture and any updates. I take a ton of photos, and love to share those! I am also always available for you to reach out anytime and respond quickly. When it comes to your home, you will not even know I was there, except your pets are happy and well-tended to :). For boarding requests, we have two very friendly small dogs and two dog-friendly cats, they all really do get along and we like to keep a calm and harmonious house! Our dogs will play if the our guest wants to, and our cats are very gracious hosts :). We only board one dog at a time.
