About: Have owned my own dogs and cats over the years. As they've grown older and passed on, I have satisfied my love for animals by caring for my kids' pets when they go on vacation. I've gone to their house and stayed, but also they have stayed in my home while mom and dad are away. We go for walks, and I have a fenced in yard and doggy door them to come and go as they please. Like my grandkids: I love having them and playing, but I also love the flexibility of sending them back to mom and dad! I am a retired teacher and am home most days. I have various errands during the day, or other things, but nothing that would interfere with visiting guests. I no longer have a dog of my own but our visiting fur babies ( and the grands) have a fenced yard with doggy door. Dogs are secure inside the back yard. I care for one dog, that loves the back yard and wants to stay out all day, weather permitting. He is safe and secure there with water and shade, and comes in when he is ready. But most of the dogs come inside. They are free to go out to play and do their business.
About: Hi my name is Caroline and I am such a big animal lover. I work at a doggy daycare/ boarding facility, I am trained and experienced with working with all types of different dogs sizes and age included. I do work full-time, but I have off three days a week, during those days I can fit you in whenever you need me to come Whenever I enter the house, I always announce myself with the dogs that I am not familiar with so they can get a feel of somebody different entering their space and their home and I give them time to warm up to me and I don’t push to try to get the dog to like me unless it wants to

“Emma has been an absolute blessing. From day one, it was clear how much she genuinely love animals. She is dependable, communicative, and go above and beyond every single time. Our pups get so excited when she arrives-which says everything. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our dog is not only getting exercise, but also love, attention, and exceptional care. Finding someone you trust with your fur baby is priceless, and we truly hit the jackpot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and professional!”

“David and Johanna did a wonderful job with our cats. I know the cats were well cared for seemed very happy when we returned. They also brought in delivered packages which was very helpful. We will definitely rebook! Thank you!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for friends and family for the past 4 years. I have experience with both dogs and cats, and I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life. I genuinely love spending time with animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. I currently work part-time, so my availability varies during the week. I work full days on Fridays, but outside of that I’m flexible. I always follow your care instructions, keep a clean and secure environment, and make sure pets have fresh water, regular potty breaks, exercise, and lots of love.
About: I've taken care of numerous kinds of dogs, from small to big and everyone has been happy with my services. I am comfortable getting dogs medication and any special treatments. I'm currently a part-time college student with a very open schedule. I will have plenty of time to play with and take care of your animals! In your home I will take care of your dog to the highest standard and follow any safety steps needed to make sure they stay safe and happy.

About: I have had all different breeds of dogs in my life and am very familiar with all of the different personalities of dogs! My family members and friends have relied on me to watch over their fur family members. My schedule is very flexible and I have a ton of availability. When you book with me, my priority is your pet and their needs. I have a very friendly dog that can tag along for walks if your dog may need social time or a buddy! You can trust that I will care for your pet as if it were my own! :)
About: I have lived with a pet throughout my entire life. I have lived with dogs ranging from 4 lbs up to 130 lbs! I currently have two dogs and two cats. I have experience volunteering at different humane societies and rescues. I have gained the trust of my friends and family to walk, feed, bathe, and watch their pets. I am working full time, but available on weekday nights and completely open on most weekends. We go on frequent walks, and get lots of play time and cuddle time in. I live in a townhome with a lot of greenways to walk nearby. I have four animals in the house: two little dogs and two cats.
“After our regular sitter moved away, we were so relieved to meet Kelly! Our dogs immediately accepted Kelly's warm, relaxed demeanor. We're very happy to have another reliable, attentive sitter for the future.”

“Rebecca was wonderful! She gave a lot of care and love to our sweet old kitty. She sent lots of photos and made sure our kitty didn’t feel too lonely while we were gone. Thank you Becca ! I would 100% recommend her and will be using her services in the future.”

About: Hi! I'm a high school special education teacher spending my summer break caring for pets and helping owners have peace of mind while they're away. I've been caring for my own pets since 2017 and have always been an animal lover. My experience as a teacher has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, communication, and paying close attention to individual needs—skills that transfer surprisingly well to pet care! I understand that every pet is different. Some love adventure and exercise, while others prefer a slower pace and extra reassurance. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while maintaining the routines that work best for them. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I'm currently enjoying my summer break from teaching, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive pet care throughout the week. I love having the opportunity to spend time with animals, get outside for walks, and help pet owners feel confident their pets are being cared for while they're away. My schedule is generally very flexible, allowing me to accommodate varying visit times. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routines, so I work hard to provide consistent, reliable care based on each owner's instructions. Whether that's a walk, playtime, feeding, fresh water, or simply spending time with your pet, I'll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I'm naturally patient, observant, and detail-oriented, and I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I also know how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet and entering your home, so I take that responsibility seriously. I'll always communicate clearly and provide updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing.
“We were hesitant at first to use Rover, but our experience having Katie come check on our puppy Queso has been great! She is always responsive, on time for visits and give us updates on how the visit went. She also takes the best pictures of Queso! We really appreciate all of her help and care for our puppy.”

About: I have always made fast friends with other animals easily and joyfully. Pets really are the greatest gift and I only ever hope to live up to that by providing patience, fun, kindness, and thoughtful care-taking! I have had pets my entire life and have been pet sitting for over 20 years. I take pride in providing the best care possible, being fully present to an animal and their needs, and providing the peace of mind to you that I would want when away from my pets. With pets of my own, I know what it is like to find someone who you truly trust and feel comfortable with - I hope to be that person. I have a flexible hybrid telework schedule that allows me to be available for care-taking around your pets' schedule needs. I will have the utmost respect for your pet and instructions. As for house-sitting, my husband takes care of all our animals so that I can be fully present to stay with yours! I am open and honest and will be available for any more information you would like to know! Thanks for considering me to take care of your precious friends. My work schedule is flexible and I work from home most days. On the days I go into the office, I am not gone for extended hours. I have plenty of time and availability for morning, mid-day, and evening pet care during the week. On weekends, morning play time is always extended, as is snuggle time, and longer walks if the weather allows - but we always spend a ton of time in the backyard, unless our guest prefers naptime on the couch. I take pet care seriously, especially with other people's pets. I treat the animals with the same respect I treat my own, and how I would want someone else to take care of mine. I want the pets I care for to feel safe and happy, and barely miss their owners. That means I am very intentional about their physical as well their emotional needs. And, honestly, I get so much joy meeting new pets and hanging out with them that I want the pets to feel the same way about me. I will follow their normal schedule for feeding, walking, and anything else you ask as part of their routine. I am also very communicative while taking care of your pet(s)! I will check in with you everyday to provide at least a picture and any updates. I take a ton of photos, and love to share those! I am also always available for you to reach out anytime and respond quickly. When it comes to your home, you will not even know I was there, except your pets are happy and well-tended to :). For boarding requests, we have two very friendly small dogs and two dog-friendly cats, they all really do get along and we like to keep a calm and harmonious house! Our dogs will play if the our guest wants to, and our cats are very gracious hosts :). We only board one dog at a time. Please do not reach out if your dog is not (small) dog and cat friendly, thank you! (Our previous dog, RIP, is still listed here, she passed recently and I cannot bring myself to delete her profile yet...)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Willow Spring
We cannot recommend our pet sitter enough! She has cared for our pets multiple times, and every experience has been wonderful. She goes above and beyond by not only making sure their basic needs are met, but also taking the time to play with them, give them plenty of attention, and make them feel loved while we’re away. She even helps keep them groomed and looking their best. The peace of mind she provides is priceless. We never have to worry when we’re gone because we know our pets are in caring, capable hands. It’s clear that she truly loves animals and treats them like her own. We always come home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and we are so grateful for the exceptional care she provides.

Our family had a great experience with Emma watching our pup, Buster. She was responsive, caring, and kept us updated with photos and messages while we were away. Buster clearly felt comfortable and well cared for. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her!

Alicia was our first experience with using a pet sitter, she came at lunch time to let our dog out for a midday break and played ball with her for several months. Our dog is a rescue, but mostly Belgium Malinois mix so high drive and mischievous requiring someone patient yet firm. Alicia is dependable, communicative and we could tell by the daily photos she provided that Peanut loved her visits with her. She was great at correcting and redirecting her bad behaviors (hole digging) - we were so relieved to have such a wonderful caretaker for our pet and would 100% recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
