“Mike was fantastic. He really showed that he cared for our pups. He was very communicative and spent a lot of time with our pups. I really appreciate that he took the time to get to know them before watching them. We will definitely try and have Mike watch them again the next time we are out of town.”
“David came the day before his first visit with kiwi for a M&G and she loved him immediately! I’m sure she was very happy to have him spend 30 mins spoiling her while I was at work. Thanks, David!”

About: I grew up with Shih Tzus and have been surrounded by dogs my entire life. Most recently, I cared for our beloved Goldendoodle from her birth through age 16 wonderful years, gaining experience with every life stage—from playful puppyhood to senior care. Our family truly adores dogs, and my kids (ages 12 and 15) are pet-obsessed and gentle, attentive helpers. Your dog will be treated like part of our family, with lots of love, reliability, and trustworthiness every step of the way. I work part time and am typically available from Thursdays from 2 PM through Sunday nights. Depending on the week, my kids could be available to help out with pet care during their checkouts or if it coincides with their school routines. We live in a townhome one block from a large park/green space. My kids and I are very active and would love to walk your pup or take them to the park daily.
“Kristyn is great at keeping in touch with us about anything she thinks we need to know about our boys to make sure they get the best care while we're gone. I know their safe and happy with her.”

“Wendy is the best cat sitter we've had. She communicates professionally and is flexible with key pickup and drop offs. She is reasonable with her pricing, even on holidays. She did drop-ins with our cat for 10 days over Christmas and we never had to worry about him. She sent a note and photos every day which brightened our days when we'd see them. Thanks Wendy!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with dogs and have continued that love into adulthood. Six years ago, I welcomed my first St. Berdoodle into my family, and three months ago, we added another St. Berdoodle puppy to the pack! I also regularly care for family and friends’ dogs, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels. From playful puppies to laid-back senior dogs, I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs. I’m happy to follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, crate routines, and anything else that helps your pup feel at home! Working from home gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding schedules, and your dog’s individual routine. I have watched all types of dogs that need outside play in the yard, daily walks, or even just love! At home I have a 110 pound lap dog 🥰
“Renee is fantastic! Constant updates and pictures with every check-in. Renee made our trip a lot easier with the peace of mind that our dogs were being well taken care of. We’ll definitely rebook with Renee on our next get away.”

“We loved have Kaitlyn check in on our cat while we were away. Always made sure to give him love with pats or treats depending on if he wanted to come out from hiding when she stopped by. We’ll definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets on and off since high school. In the summer of 2023, I helped my neighbor walk two dogs regularly—an older Golden Retriever and a young Pomeranian. I’ve also walked a large Standard Poodle and have experience with dogs of different sizes and energy levels. Some friends have trusted me with pet-sitting at my home; the longest stay was nine days, caring for a medium-sized Poodle and a small mixed breed dog. I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in a new environment. In the past, I also raised a rescued orange tabby cat from kittenhood. He was with us for many years and remains a very special part of my life. I currently work part-time on weekdays and have flexible availability after 5 PM. Right now, I offer dog walking or cat care—this includes feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and giving your pets plenty of love and attention. I’m not offering boarding services at the moment, but I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their space and routines. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality, energy level, and preferences. Whether it’s a shy cat or an energetic dog, I make sure they feel safe and loved while their humans are away. I’m also happy to hear about any special notes or things I should be aware of regarding your pet.
About: I've had pets since I was a kid and always loved animals. My grandparents had a farm, so cats and dogs were a part of regular life for me over the summers. I've raised dogs from puppies, and rescued one of my cats, who was a stray. I've got experience with older animals as well, one of my cats is 16 and one of the dogs is 13. I'm a stay-at-home Dad, so my schedule is somewhat flexible. I'm mostly looking to fill the days when my youngest is out of the house. I'm happy to talk walks on leash or off, parks or hikes, running around in the yard. I'm also happy to put them into a crate or room if needed
“Kasey is the absolute best! He took real good care of my 2 cats while I was away on vacation and he is so nice! Honestly I can’t say enough good things about him! Definitely one of the best (if not the best) on Rover! Next time I’m on vacation I hope he’s available to watch my cats again!”
“Sarah is amazing!!!! We don't trust many people with our kitty cats but sarah is dependable, trustworthy and most of all accepted and adored by two VERY picky cats 🐈!! She is 100000% our go to sitter. She always goes above and beyond to do a phenomenal job. You won't find a more loving person of animals on this app than sarah in our opinion.”

About: I was born into a house of cats, and got my first dog at 4 years old. As I grew up, my love of animals only became stronger. I have never been without a pet. I currently have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a variety of different reptiles. I also foster kittens. I live a life filled with unconditional love, as I know many other pet parents do too. I am here to help care for your babies when you need help! Every second of my life revolves around pet care. Not only with my animals at home, but with my job as well. I wouldn't have it any other way. How I care for your fur babies is completely up to you. I'm flexible for any routine during our booking. Some little guys want to relax or be left alone, while others want to run and play till the end of the day.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Holly Springs
If Rover allowed more than five stars, Ella’s rating would need clearance from air traffic control. 😂 With our demanding work schedules, Ella has been an absolute lifesaver. She is consistently there when we need her and genuinely treats TCAS and LZ like they’re her own. Knowing they’re with someone who truly loves them takes an enormous amount of stress off me and my husband. The fact that Ella loves Bull Terriers made her an instant fit for our slightly chaotic aviation-themed family. TCAS—short for Traffic Collision Avoidance System—is adorable, hilarious, stubborn, and approximately 97 full-time jobs wrapped inside one muscular egg-shaped body. Ella is basically a Bull Terrier miracle worker and handles all of his energy and ridiculousness like it’s nothing. She has also been incredibly loving and patient with my sweet LZ—short for Landing Zone—who is 14, very elderly, and dealing with illness and age-related challenges. Ella understands that LZ’s needs can change from day to day and always gives her so much patience, gentleness, and love. That means more to me than I can adequately put into words. My dogs come with approximately 742 tiny instructions involving crates, treats, routines, and what can go where with whom. Ella remembers every detail, handles all the extras without ever making me feel like an annoying helicopter dog mom, and somehow never complains—even during the brutal North Carolina heat. She also sends amazing pictures and videos that always reassure me and brighten my workday. Ella is dependable, thoughtful, patient, attentive, and clearly loves animals with her whole heart. Finding someone I trust this much with my dogs—especially with LZ being such an elderly girl—has been an absolute gift. She isn’t just our dog sitter anymore; she’s officially part of our weird, slobbery little family. 🐾💜🩵 Seriously, book her—but please don’t book her so much that I can’t. 😂 - Heidi

Erin was nothing short of amazing and simply the best. She got into a good routine with our pup and she loved her like her own. She made momma feel more than at ease leaving her for the first time so we could enjoy some time for her Birthday. Happy to have found our sitter!

Bailey was fantastic! 🐾 We booked her to stop by twice to check on our pups, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, dependable, and made us feel completely comfortable knowing our little hooligans were in good hands. Our dogs gave her two paws up… and since they don’t have thumbs, that’s basically a standing ovation. 😂 Thank you, Bailey, for taking such great care of our crew! We’d happily book with you again and highly recommend you to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pets like family. 🐾🩵🐾🩷

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
