About: I’ve taken care of my own dog since I was 9, and I have taken care of other’s pets (such as family friends’s pets) before. I am currently at school, but will be out for summer soon. I work a few nights a week at my part time job but my mornings and most of the afternoon are free. I can feed, walk, play with, and crate your fur baby. I do not offer overnight services at my house, however I am willing and able to stay at your house if needed/wanted.
“Carolyn did a wonderful job checking in on my dog while I was away. She made sure she had food and fresh water, let her out, spent time with her, and sent updates and photos that gave me real peace of mind. It was reassuring to know my dog was being cared for and getting some extra attention while I was gone. I would absolutely recommend her and would gladly use her services again!”

“I can’t speak highly enough! It was a real emergency and I had never used Rover before but I needed some help quick. Jennifer was at my house within 5 min and made it possible for me to focus on my mom in the hospital. I will continue to use her as long as possible! Thanks Jen!”

“Ravi was great! He was so attentive to my girls and provided detailed updates for all 5 days I was out of town with my family. I would absolutely book again next time I need someone to watch my cats!”

“Amber was great! She is very responsive to messages and easy to get in touch with. We have a picky cat, and she took extra care to make sure she ate and made sure to keep us updated. We would definitely recommend and re-book with her.”

About: I've had pets since I was a kid and always loved animals. My grandparents had a farm, so cats and dogs were a part of regular life for me over the summers. I've raised dogs from puppies, and rescued one of my cats, who was a stray. I've got experience with older animals as well, one of my cats is 16 and one of the dogs is 13. I'm a stay-at-home Dad, so my schedule is somewhat flexible. I'm mostly looking to fill the days when my youngest is out of the house. I'm happy to talk walks on leash or off, parks or hikes, running around in the yard. I'm also happy to put them into a crate or room if needed
About: I have been a dog lover since childhood, and my passion for animals continues to grow. I have a high-energy dog named Pepper, who is a 9-year-old Double Doodle. As she has gotten older, I have gained experience in taking care of her, including washing, playing, feeding, and walking her. I have also done pet-sitting for some family friends from time to time. I will do my best to meet all the needs of your furry friend so they can thrive! Morning until late afternoon is the best time for me to care for your furry friend. I am often busy after those times due to school and home responsibilities. However, there will be times when later hours work for me. I will mark it all on my calendar so you will be in the know! In your home, I will treat your pet with the utmost care while also respecting the rules of your household. Listening and being attentive to a pet are two of the most important things to petsitting. I will share updates and photos via messages to keep you in the know about how your precious dog is doing!
“Angela is the most thoughtful and attentive friend to our pups! Her warm friendly presence and consistent attention ease our worries while anway. I know the pups adore Angela, they’re always smiling in the pictures she shares!”

About: Hi there! I’m Tori! I’ve been pet sitting dogs, cats, and small animals since I was young since my parents were allergic and I simply HAD to get my animal fix! I have 3 years of professional pet sitting and admin experience and am now freelancing with Rover. I’d love to connect and see how I can best offer your furry best friend the love they need while you are away. I have professional experience with dog walking, drop in petsitting, and boarding in my home. I can administer medications and have worked with puppies and senior dogs. I do require a meet and greet before services can begin as it’s very important to me that you and your pet can get familiar with me and I them so the first time I enter your home is not the first time we are meeting. Additionally I ask that you do disclose any prior history of aggression for both my safety and the well being of your pet. I am not a trainer nor do I have experience with aggressive animals. I truly believe that our pets are family and I sincerely hope to establish a long lasting relationship with both you and your pet where we become family too! I am available many evenings and weekends as I do work a full time day job outside the home. Looking to take a weekend trip? I’m your gal! I do not have any pets of my own currently which is why I’d love to come hang out with yours! I require a meet and greet ahead of time to ensure everyone is comfortable!

About: Responsible and experienced. I love dogs and want to spend every hour of my day with dogs. 😁 Apart from spoiling them and playing with them, I also groom them and train them. I am retired so time is flexible. I will take them out on walks at least twice a day. I can care for dogs with special needs such as medications or special diets. I will follow owner’s instructions. I have a fenced in yard and 2 dogs to keep your dog company. Your dog will be supervised at all time. We can crate our dogs or your dog if it is deemed necessary.
About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have experience with dogs, cats, and small animals, and spent four years working as a Veterinary Assistant in Wilmington and Chapel Hill. I treat every pet as if they were my own, offering patience, safety, and lots of love. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and deeply loved while you’re away. I currently work from home running a small business. I do not work every day. I am flexible and available to help you out when needed. I have a Labrador Retriever and two senior, friendly domestic shorthair cats of my own. While you’re away, I care for your pets as if they were my own. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and take time to understand each animal’s personality and needs. I like to keep a log for you on how they did and how things went for our time together. We have a nice sized home to accommodate your furry friend. Pets are allowed upstairs. We are happy to have your baby sleep on his or her bed in our room at night, or a crate if that’s what they are used to. Please supply your pet’s favorite bed or crate. Pets are allowed on the couch. We have a large, fenced back yard for those pups that like to sunbathe or sniff around during the day! I focus on calm, gentle care, plenty of affection (when welcomed), and making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m attentive to behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I communicate regularly so you have peace of mind. I have experience with senior dogs and cats, puppies and kittens and special needs pets through vet time experience and personal experience.
“Kelsey is amazing, was willing to work with me on a really short notice, and kept up constant communication with me to keep me updated while I was away on vacation. She even taught my dog a new trick while I was away! Will definitely use her in the future.”

About: I have had many different types of dogs in my life, such as a Pomeranian and a golden retriever. I also used to have an olde English bulldog. Our last dog was a Bassett hound/boxer mix. He crossed the rainbow bridge in November 2025. I love taking dogs for long walks in the neighborhood or around different trails. I think it’s important for dogs to get as much exercise as possible. I also would love to throw a ball or lay around and cuddle with your dog. We also have a fenced in backyard for dogs to run and get plenty of exercise. Your dog will be a part of our family when they stay with us. I am available most afternoons. I am also available Friday afternoon through Sunday. I would love to help take care of your dog while you can’t be there. Please just let me know what you and your dog’s needs are and I will help as much as you want. I work full time out of the house, but am gone for no more than 8 hours. Your dog can be let out right before I leave and as soon as I get home. Once I get home I can play and love on your pet. I have a fenced in yard and your dog can run around as much as he wants. I also have two young children that love to chase and play games with your dog. Your dog can lay on the couch, sleep in our bed, or whatever is most comfortable for them.
“I really appreciate Alyson. She checked in regularly, sent pictures regularly, she asked questions for clarity and she genuinely cares about my pet. I will use her services again without a doubt.”

Kailin did a wonderful job taking care of my dog! She followed all of my instructions perfectly and gave her lots of love and attention. She took her on a nice long walk, played with her in the backyard, and made sure she ate her dinner. I really appreciated how attentive and caring she was. I would definitely recommend Kailin!

Kristyn was exactly what we needed this weekend. She took excellent care of Coconut and Papaya and seemed to really spend time playing with them and learning their personalities. She is very communicative and punctual. I can’t think of anything I would suggest she should have done differently. 10/10. She sent me more pictures of my smiling dogs than even I’ve taken in the last several months 😆 they were in great hands. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful experience! They stopped by to care for our pets during dinner, took Rodger on a nice walk, and gave our kitties plenty of love and snuggles. It was clear they genuinely cared about our animals and made sure everyone was happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. Knowing our pets were in such caring hands gave us so much peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend them and will definitely be booking with them again!

Amanda was a fantastic sitter for our dog that requires bladder expression. This was the first time we’ve been away from the dogs and used a sitter, we were very nervous but the experience could not have better for us or the dogs. Amanda’s attention to detail, veterinary background, and clear and frequent communication put us at ease the entire time we were away from the pups!

Jennifer was amazing and such a huge help for us during a really unpredictable time while we were waiting for the arrival of our son. She was kind enough to stay on standby for drop-in visits with our dog, and the day we got admitted to the hospital she was incredibly easy to get ahold of, accommodating, and flexible. She sent us tons of updates and pictures which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was very clear our dog felt comfortable and happy with her, and that meant everything to us. We’re so grateful for her help and will absolutely be using her again in the future!

I was so fortunate to find Vicki and Michael! .They are timely, conscientious, followed my camel's (just kidding!) watering instructions and, most importantly, were loving towards my fella. They replaced the gate and put feeding items back as found. They even walked him twice on their visit! I think my fella likes Michael more than me! Vicki even chose to stay and visit extra with him while Michael did a nearby errand (How sweet is that?) where upon my pooch fell asleep on her lap! Thanks, you two. I anticipate using them again!
Alicia was our first experience with using a pet sitter, she came at lunch time to let our dog out for a midday break and played ball with her for several months. Our dog is a rescue, but mostly Belgium Malinois mix so high drive and mischievous requiring someone patient yet firm. Alicia is dependable, communicative and we could tell by the daily photos she provided that Peanut loved her visits with her. She was great at correcting and redirecting her bad behaviors (hole digging) - we were so relieved to have such a wonderful caretaker for our pet and would 100% recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
