Pet care experience

🐾 Pet Care Experience Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is second nature to me. Our home is shared with a 12‑year‑old chihuahua/pomeranian mix, two young hound mixes, and four ferrets, so I’m experienced with a wide range of ages, temperaments, and care needs. My pets are truly my babies, and I extend that same level of love, patience, and attention to every animal I look after. 💛 What Sets Us Apart My husband, Jonathan, and I work as a team to provide reliable, consistent care for every pet we welcome. Whether it’s boarding in our home or drop‑in visits, you’re getting two dedicated animal lovers who communicate, coordinate, and make sure no detail is overlooked. We both believe that a pet’s feelings, comfort, and emotional safety matter just as much as their physical needs. 🌟 Our Care Philosophy - Compassionate, individualized attention — every pet is treated like family. - Team‑based care — two responsible adults ensuring dependable coverage for boarding and drop‑ins. - Experience with multi‑pet households — comfortable managing different ages, sizes, and energy levels. - Emotion‑focused care — we pay close attention to body language, stress signals, and comfort cues so pets feel secure and understood.

They took great care of Bailey and sent us updates throughout her stay. They had systems in place to help her acclimate and ensured we felt safe leaving her.

Schedule

🗓️ How Pet Care Fits Into Our Routine I work a hybrid schedule, which means I’m home most mornings through early afternoon. This gives me plenty of flexibility for drop‑ins, walks, and keeping boarding pets company throughout the day. In the late afternoon and evening, my husband Jonathan is home, and we overlap again once I return—so pets in our care have consistent coverage and companionship from morning to night. There are many days when I don’t need to leave the house for long periods at all, which allows for even more attentive care. Depending on your location, I may also be able to accommodate additional visits during the week. 🐶 Weekend Availability With enough notice, I’m available most weekends for boarding or drop‑ins. Our goal is to make scheduling easy and to ensure your pet always has someone dependable looking after them.

Safety, trust & environment

Pets in our care are treated with the same level of protection and attention as our own. When a dog stays in our home, we make sure they have their own calm, distraction‑free space for eating and drinking so they don’t feel overwhelmed by our animals. This helps reduce stress and ensures every pet can relax and enjoy their routine. We’re very intentional about giving each dog plenty of affection, supervision, and one‑on‑one time. Our fenced yard provides a safe place for outdoor play, and either Jonathan or I stay outside with them to make sure everyone gets along, stays safe, and doesn’t attempt to slip through a gate or fence line. For drop‑ins at a client’s home, we follow the same safety‑first approach—respecting your pet’s routine, monitoring their comfort, and making sure their environment stays secure and familiar.

A typical day

🐕 A Typical Day With Us A day with us is all about play, comfort, and routine. If your dog enjoys walks, we start with a neighborhood stroll to get their energy out and let them explore safely. If they’re comfortable socializing and your neighborhood allows it, we may also visit a nearby park for fresh air and enrichment. At home, we have plenty of toys for both indoor and outdoor play—tug toys, balls, puzzles, and soft toys for snuggling. Dogs can enjoy supervised time in our fenced yard, where they can run, sniff, and relax while Jonathan or I stay outside with them. Inside, pets get a balance of playtime, rest, and affection. Whether they prefer snuggles on the couch, quiet time in their own space, or interactive games, we match their energy and needs throughout the day.

📝 What I Need to Know Before Caring for Your Pet Understanding your dog’s routine and needs helps me create a safe, comfortable experience for them. Before a booking, it’s helpful to know: - Food and treats — what they eat, how often, and any brand preferences. - Allergies or medical needs — medications, sensitivities, or conditions I should monitor. - Sleeping routine — where they normally sleep and what helps them settle. - Crate comfort — whether they’re crate‑trained or able to rest calmly in a crate if needed. - Behavior around resources — any food, water, or toy aggression so I can manage mealtimes and play safely. This information helps me tailor care to your dog’s comfort level and keep everyone safe and happy.
