“Mowgli really enjoyed his stay! They both took care of Mowgli like their own! I’m even more excited to go on vacation knowing he will be well taken care of. Isabel always kept me informed with wonderful pictures and messages of the day. Thank you so much!”

“Words can’t express how appreciative my family and I are of Claudia. My little girl got a UTI and Claudia took her to the Emergency Vet and got her the care she needed. She kept me informed at all times and sent pictures of my girl. We were 4 hours away and to know she was there for Vers like we would be was just AWESOME. I highly recommend booking with Claudia and will be using her services again in the near future.”

“Meyling was incredible with my dog. She was very communicative and detail oriented. Her dog was so sweet and got along with mine very well. Meyling gave my dog frequent walks, and was generous with treats and toys and lots of love. She sent many updates and photos to keep me updated. She worked form home and was able to spend lots of time time and attention on my dog. My dog had so much fun, instantly felt at home, and enjoyed the visit. I can not recommend Meyling enough for dogsitting and will be booking with her again whenever we need it.”
“Kelly was fantastic, super responsive, informative and our pooch loved being there. When we picked him up he was excited to see us but raced back and forth be us and her- a sure sign that he felt comfortable. Our dog loves to fetch and sweet Kelly indulged him more than we ever do 💕.”

“Tracey is so, so amazing with our dogs! She is very knowledgeable, and when one of our dogs started acting up she knew just what to do. The dogs are part of the family while they are there, getting plenty of love, play, walks, and treats. Highly, highly recommend!”
“Tori and her family took such great care of our small older dog who has some health issues including med administration needs and occasional pain due to previous cancer. Everything from getting holly to their home (Tori last minute offered to pick Holly Up and this was a godsend because our trip was last minute and we were trying to coordinate many other things) to start her visit to pick up and updates in between were great. Her sons are very gentle and natural animal lovers so that was not any concern even though our dog generally prefers calm environments. I would highly recommend Tori and her family for caring for your pet!”

“My pup enjoyed his stay! When we arrived he was comfortable right away and walked right in. Joi and Lynda took great care of him and kept me updated. They even made sure he remained safe using the stairs. Definitely recommend them for a warm, caring environment for your pet!”

“Caitlin was absolutely the best! She took amazing care of Kali Mae, who felt completely at home with her. Thank you for all the pictures and for loving on Kali as if she were your own. I’d definitely use her again!”

“Nicole and her family were exactly what we needed. Communication and photos were plentiful and the love I could see that was given made me not have to worry about our dog while we were away. We will absolutely use their services again!”
“Taylor was FANTASTIC. We had never left our dog with anyone besides family before so this was a big leap of faith. Our dog is super anxious and Taylor worked to make her comfortable. She was incredibly responsive and sent lots of updates. Definitely spoiled our girl.”

“Marisa Was very flexible when I booked a last-minute dog sitting. She took terrific care of Wrigley and kept me updated how he was doing. I would use Marissa again anytime”

“Sarah and Mark did an excellent job with our huge dog. Kept in touch and sent message and photo updates throughout our trip. Our dog can get sad and mopey when we aren't around. But she had plenty of playmates to play or watch play during her stay, so there was no time to miss us. She was happy and well cared for and came home exhausted.”

“David & Stephanie were amazing with our pup. This was our first experience leaving Toby with a sitter, and it was for four nights. They provided detailed updates with pictures everyday with how he was doing. It was so nice to know he was in a safe and loving environment, which allowed my husband and I to truly enjoy our vacation and not be worried about our little guy. We are excited to have a home away from home for Toby when we need a sitter for just a few hours or going out of town for a few days!”

“Robin did a phenomenal job caring for my kitten over the Christmas holiday. I’m really grateful that she was able to take her in with a day’s notice. I’ll definitely be booking her again.”
“Tiffany took great care of Lizzy while we were traveling. She kept us up to date on how things were going with frequent pictures. Lizzy had a great time and we will definitely use Tiffany again.”

“Brittany was amazing! She and her family took great care of our Daisy. She was kind, caring and provided a warm and welcoming home for our sometimes shy and timid dog. She sent daily updates with pictures and even some videos, which really put us at ease while we were away. We definitely hope to use her again and highly recommend her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fuquay-Varina
Vicki and Michael are great. We were able to leave Ollie for a few days with no worries as to the care and love he was receiving. I'm pretty sure he had a lot of fun with Oliver and Zoey because he is totally wiped out today. :-) Their home is so pet friendly. We received just the right amount of photos and updates. This was our first time leaving Ollie with Vicki and Michael, but will definitely use them again.
We cannot recommend Sarah and her family enough!! They were amazing. She communicated thoroughly and often with updates and pictures. They have a beautiful, loving family and I could tell by the pictures that Leo felt comfortable and at home with them. Don’t hesitate to book with Sarah!

Emily was awesome with Daisy! She was responsive, sent updates and photos, and made Daisy feel at home. It was Daisy’s first time, so I was a little nervous, but Emily made me feel super at ease. She was professional, friendly, and kind - I would recommend her to anyone!

Kelsey is an excellent sitter. She took great care of my husky and chow chow for a week. They were loved, exercised daily, and got to socialize with Kelsey’s dogs who were very well behaved. She sent many adorable photos and updates while we were traveling which gave me peace of mind. I can tell she has a ton of experience with dogs based on the communication we had throughout their stay. I will absolutely book with Kelsey again! 🐾

Sophia is so great! She accepted our last minute booking due to other plans falling through and she was very friendly and was transparent about her schedule right away to make sure it was okay with Bodie’s schedule. She was very friendly and personable in person as well and we felt very comfortable that we were leaving him in good hands. We have a big and strong golden retriever so it was important to us that we find someone that could handle his energy and she was very capable. We will definitely be booking with Sophia again, we are so happy to have finally found our local dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
