“Kona was well taken care of by Yaryna and her family. She came home happy and full of energy. I got daily updates on how she was doing. She also got some good walks, which not all Rover sitters will do. I liked how she only takes one pet at a time. Very happy.”

“Marisa was fantastic taking care of our little puppy! Lots of walks, playtime, and she was very careful to follow any requests for our puppy. We loved getting the check in pictures and videos! We will definitely have her sit again!”

“Tania and her family took wonderful care of my dog while I was away! They sent great updates and pictures every day. My girl clearly had fun playing with their dog as well. Highly recommend Tania for your dog care needs.”

“Tracey was fantastic with our energetic Grace, you can tell she genuinely cares for the dogs that she watches over and will cater to their individual needs, for anyone who is skeptical of leaving there pup with someone outside of a boarding facility, I fully endorse Tracey! She will certainly be our forever boarder! She also sent tons of pictures and updates which was very appreciated!”

“David and Stephanie took great care of my girl. We were able to do a quick meet and greet with David before my trip. They were very accommodating and wonderful about sending me updates about Honey’s day with photos of her. I will definitely be using them whenever possible for future travels.”

“David and Johanna took excellent care of our dog. We did a meet and greet to ensure their dog and our dog would get along and they were very attentive to his care. I appreciated the pictures that were sent and could tell he was very relaxed and had a great week!”

“Another 5-star stay with Kim & John! Dixie loves them and their dogs. She always comes home tired and happy, which also make me happy. They take great care of my girl.”

“Kelly took wonderful care of our two fur-babies! She was able to help our senior girl with meds and made sure she was comfortable while our puppy played in the fenced yard. Fantastic with communication and photos throughout our stay! Will definitely book with her again”

“Amanda and her husband are amazing. They're super nice people and made our Peanut feel at home immediately. They message you pictures and updates constantly so you know exactly how your pet is doing. I recommend them to anyone in the Fuquay or Holly Springs area that needs their dog watched by extremely trustworthy people!”

“Greg did a great job caring for our German Shepherd and Lab. I felt very comfortable knowing they'd get lots of playtime, care, and attention. We also received updates and pictures; our pups were very happy. We will definitely use Greg in the future!”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs has been part of my life for a long time. I’ve been around dogs since I was about 8 years old, have had two dogs previously, and currently have two large, friendly dogs who are very social, playful, and have great temperaments. I’ve also fostered dogs for rescue organizations several times, which has given me experience welcoming dogs I barely knew into my home and helping them feel safe and comfortable for weeks at a time. I understand that every dog has a different personality, routine, and comfort level, especially when they’re in a new environment. Our home is very dog-friendly, with a large, fully fenced backyard and plenty of room to play. I’ve even been mindful about avoiding plants in our yard that could be harmful or cause issues for dogs. My own dogs love having four-legged visitors, so for a social pup, staying with me may feel a little like their own vacation! Safety is also very important to me. I pay close attention to each dog’s needs and behavior, and we live close to emergency veterinary care should an unexpected situation ever arise. Most importantly, your dog won’t just be staying somewhere, they’ll be welcomed into my home and treated like part of the family. Fur baby care is already a natural and essential part of my everyday routine. I work remotely from home and have two big dog babies of my own, so I’m able to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I walk my dogs at least once a day and enjoy keeping them active, so I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, and other activities based on your dog’s needs and energy level. Pets are truly part of the family in our home, and their comfort, safety, and happiness are always a priority. My family (especially my 10 yr old daughter) tends to get attached to the dogs I care for pretty quickly, so you can expect your dog to be treated with the same care, attention, and affection that I give my own. I want every dog in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. In my home, dogs are generally welcome throughout the house, including on furniture, but I’m also happy to follow your household rules so they don’t pick up any new habits that you’d rather not continue at home. I also have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, play, and exercise. I can provide a crate if your dog is crate-trained or simply feels more secure having their own space. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and, if needed, can transport your pet for veterinary or emergency medical care. I can also provide bathing and brushing as an additional service. Most importantly, I’ll follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and any special needs so your pet receives consistent, personalized care.
“Taylor was FANTASTIC. We had never left our dog with anyone besides family before so this was a big leap of faith. Our dog is super anxious and Taylor worked to make her comfortable. She was incredibly responsive and sent lots of updates. Definitely spoiled our girl.”

“Kelsey was awesome! She was very communicative and sent me so many pictures throughout the weekend. I never had to wonder how Nash was doing. My dog had a blast playing with her sweet pup, Knox, and didn’t want to leave when we picked him up.”

“Kelley was a great babysitter for Darcy. She kept us updated with photos throughout the weekend! Darcy who is a year and a half had the best time with her boys. I would definitely recommend Kelley to anyone looking for a sitter and I will be using her again!”

“Jemma did such a lovely job of taking care of our dog and we loved receiving pictures from her throughout the week. Our dog can be anxious in new situations but she did such a great job of keeping her calm and making her feel comfortable. Definitely recommend!!!”

“Diego was wonderful watching our dog while we were out of town. He shared photos and videos, and ensured she got lots of fun and playtime. Would definitely consider having Diego dog sit again!”

“Ms. Katelyn was awesome! I felt very comfortable when leaving my pup with her and Cooper. The communication during pick up and drop off made things flow smoothly as well. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Crystal has always been great with Teddy but this time around for our longer trip, she went above and beyond. His fur tends to get very matted so I requested she brush him and he came home with no matting and I am feeling so grateful! Highly recommend her care!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fuquay-Varina
Duke had such a great time with Amber and her family! He was actually really sad on the way back home after spending several days playing with Sam, their dog. Amber took wonderful care of Duke and kept me updated throughout his stay with photos, which was such a relief and meant a lot to us. She was also very responsive and always quick to answer any questions or inquiries I had. I would definitely trust Amber and her family with Duke again whenever we need a sitter. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend!

Amanda was great! We will definitely be booking her again. Being a person that is 24/7 with my emotional service dog Amanda gave me mental peace. Macarena was well treated, loved like part of the family and had a wonderful time. Amanda was attentive, informative with status updates and we were really grateful for it. We are so happy we found her.

As always, our pups loved their vacation with Lisa and Harry. Instead of hiding when they see us packing suitcases, our pups dance when they hear, “Do you want to stay with Lisa and Harry?” They love it there, and we don’t worry about them at all during our vacation.

Kaitlin and Jeff took great care of my dog, Maple. Their kids and their dog (Sox) provided Maple the perfect company while we were out of town. Maple being a fussy eater, we were a bit worried but Kaitlin made sure Maple had his food the way he liked it. I’d definitely recommend Kaitlin and Jeff for all your dog sitting needs.

We couldn’t be happier with the care Lexi received during her stay from July 18th through July 28th. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in such loving and capable hands. We especially appreciated the regular updates, photos, and messages throughout our trip. It was so reassuring to see how happy, comfortable, and well cared for she was while we were away. It was clear that Lexi was treated like part of the family, and we are incredibly grateful for the kindness, attention, and love she received. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our girl. We would absolutely trust you with Lexi again and highly recommend you to anyone looking for a caring and dependable Rover sitter!

Vicki and Michael are great. We were able to leave Ollie for a few days with no worries as to the care and love he was receiving. I'm pretty sure he had a lot of fun with Oliver and Zoey because he is totally wiped out today. :-) Their home is so pet friendly. We received just the right amount of photos and updates. This was our first time leaving Ollie with Vicki and Michael, but will definitely use them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
