“We had an initial meet n greet the week before and they seemed to click with the house! They were kind of chill when I picked them up which was unusual but really cool. I was sent pics of them lounging on the couch, so cute. Thanks to Kristen, Paula, Bentley the moyan and to the cute teeny bopper (sorry I forgot your name hon but I'm old now so please forgive.) I feel like my pups had their best first experience with some lovely pet sitters. Best regards, Diane”

“For the weekend of March 20-22, we had such a good experience with Carlita watching our Lewey. You always feel a little nervous leaving your dog with someone for the first time, but she took good care of him. We so appreciated the regular updates of how he was doing. She kept us posted on his eating, playing and potty breaks so that we would know how he was doing and adjusting to a new environment. She took him on regular walks, ensured that he had playtime, and it was a plus that he had two other pups to play with. Carlita is professional, friendly and warm, and we would definitely recommend her. Thank you, Carlita, for taking time with Lewey while we were away.”

“Luke took great care of my dog over a holiday weekend. His dog got along great with my dog which was nice to have some dog socialization. He kept us updated about the stay and sent pictures which was appreciated. Would definitely book again!”

“We are extremely happy with the care Maria gave our two fur babies. My fur babies received belly rubs, play time with her 2 children and her fur baby. They loved to run in her big enclosed yard. She administered monthly medicine, gave them baths and even washed their bedding. I received videos and pictures of their daily routine. She took care of them as if they were her own. Maria is awesome. I definitely will be using her again. I highly recommend her. Thank You Maria. ❤️”

“Taylor was FANTASTIC. We had never left our dog with anyone besides family before so this was a big leap of faith. Our dog is super anxious and Taylor worked to make her comfortable. She was incredibly responsive and sent lots of updates. Definitely spoiled our girl.”

“I cannot recommend Marissa & Mosieo enough! Leaving my Yorkie for over five days while traveling out of the country was nerve wracking, but they made the entire experience worry-free. They provided regular updates and photos, which gave me such peace of mind knowing my pup was in excellent hands. It was clear my dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the whole time. I will absolutely be using them again for all my future travel. They are my go to sitters from now on!”

“Deanna was sooooooo awesome with Ivy. She was great and her family was awesome as well. They took very good care of my baby with my last minute booking. Thank you guys again. Can’t wait to rebook with you.”

“Kelley took good care of cosmo.I am very comfortable leaving cosmo with her, I am sure cosmo had a great time. She sends updates and photos regularly. I have tried different pet sitters and I can say kelley is the best.”

“David and Johanna took great care of Nora over the weekend! She had a great time and loved having a full yard to play in. She came back happy and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend them and would definitely feel comfortable leaving Nora with them again!”

“Christopher and Christina were wonderful to watch my dog Max for a full week. I had such peace of mind and received regular updates and photos of Max during that time. Can not recommend them enough!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Kim and John! Another fun stay for Hattie. Thanks Kim for taking such great care of her and sending the best pictures while we were away!”

About: Growing up, I had plenty of cats and dogs, both trained and untrained. I treat fur babies like literal humans, they deserve it. I love to cuddle with animals, play outside, or just be lazy together. I work for myself so I make my own schedule. Therefore, it isn’t hard for me to make arrangements to keep a pet or go and hangout. I have no fur babies as of now (mine recently passed) so you won’t have to worry about your pet being in a fight or hurt by the paws of any animal of mine. My home is on an acre of land with only one neighbor. I have a screened in back porch if the animal loves to sunbathe. I make it a priority to learn any pet I encounter.
“Ksenia is phenomenal! Not only is she sweet and personable, so is her family and furbaby! Plus, I was provided constant and consistent updates, which I loved!! Pictures and videos and updates. I truly felt like I knew what my fur baby was doing all day, everyday. I recommend her as top tier!”

“She was fast , fun, and friendly . Took care of my lil Freedom with ease. She sent pictures and updated me throughout the day.! I will be returning back with her. She has another dog and makes sure yours is included with anything she does.”

“Diego was wonderful watching our dog while we were out of town. He shared photos and videos, and ensured she got lots of fun and playtime. Would definitely consider having Diego dog sit again!”

“Please please book ! Tionne was so thoughtful and my pup was in great hands. Lots of updates and pictures and the environment was so safe and loving . We will be booking again.”

“This was my first time using a sitter, and Vanessa was terrific! We got daily updates and pictures, and my pup was kept busy! He’s pretty much been sleeping since we got home. 😊”

“Karen & Vincent were great! She provided plenty of updates during Jasper & Onyx’s stay and I could trust they were happy and well cared for. She even let me know about Jasper’s developing limp which I greatly appreciated. I know I can rely on her to take good care of my babies when we need her again in the future”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Willow Springs
First off, Sarai is awesome to work with. She's genuine and clearly a dog lover. Our dog doesn't like just anyone. She's very timid with new people for sure, especially men. Yet she settled in with Sarai and her husband really quickly! We definitely plan to book with Sarai again soon and we have peace knowing our girl will be excited when we arrive at their house. Thank you, Sarai!

I am so glad that I reached out to Jennifer. I immediately knew from her profile that she would be such a good sitter for our dog. When we talked for the first time via video, she was so warm and friendly. She asked the necessary questions, talked about the care she gives and more. Lewey stayed with her for 5 days. I had no worries that he was in good hands. He so enjoyed his time with other dogs who were there, a large backyard to run around in and he immediately took to Jennifer the moment he saw her in person. I definitely recommend her. Thank you, Jennifer for your services. We will definitely request you again soon.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
