Courtney was great taking care of my dog. I had her drop at lunch to keep the pup entertained and it seems like my dog had a great time. I would happily book her again

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 10. Through neighbors, family, and friends I have been able to take care of many different dog breeds, behavior levels, and ages. From 10 pounds to 120 I have been able to learn about different reactions and temperaments and how to handle mostly everything. Working at a grooming salon that specialized in disabled and senior dogs has definitely helped teach me some skills on how to handle tough situations and make sure your baby is okay 100% of the time. Working as a current Veterinary Assistant I can assure you that your fur baby will be in good hands with any emergencies or accidents. I currently work part time as a veterinary assistant during most weekdays so that means I’m able to watch your fur babies all weekend long! Only able to look after dogs at your own home. Will make sure no mess is left and that your fur babies routine will continue as normal.

Anastasiya took our girl Charlotte (5 year old Shepsky) for walks while my wife and I went out of town for 4 days. Charlotte can pull from time to time while walking, Anastasiya handled the walks like a pro. She took excellent care of our pup. She was punctual, affordable, dependable, communicated well and went above and beyond for our girl. She will be who we use anytime we go out of town! Thanks Anastasiya!

About: I've retired from the corporate world of account management and have been following my passion of caring for dogs and cats on a full-time basis with Rover. My clients love seeing how excited their pets are to see me and are amazed how well they behave when I'm around. On a typical day I'll be out and about caring for pets by dropping in at a pet's home to provide attention and bathroom breaks, walking dogs in someone's neighborhood, plus taking care of my own dog. Please keep in mind that when I am house sitting for you, I may come and go from your home in order to continue caring for my other client's drop-in needs and checking in on my own dog during the day but will be at your home overnight. I look forward to being someone you can rely on and trust! Please read my customer reviews to understand the passion I have caring for pets. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pets. For new clients, I require a Meet and Greet at your place of residence prior to booking any drop-ins, house sitting, or walks so your pets can meet me and you can learn a little more about me to be sure it's a good fit. I look forward to reading your completed profiles especially the "About", "Care", and "Vet" sections.

About: I have been taking care of pets, more so dogs since I was 12 years old. My experience includes all ages of pets from puppies/kittens to seniors. In my neighborhood alone I have dogs for over 12 families and I am hoping to expand my love and care for pets to other families! Currently, I am a college student but I have free time over the holidays for any needs. I am available 7 days a week, and usually let out pets every 3-4 hours, but I am willing to adjust to your pets’ usual routine. I do not have space to care for your pets at my home, but am more than happy to stay at your home, or visit for extended hours to comfort and play with animals!

About: Hi, I’m Dillon! I’ve been taking care of dogs for a while now through my own dog walking clients, and I’ve built a routine around being consistent, on time, and really paying attention to each dog’s needs. I’m very active, so I enjoy longer walks and playtime, but I also understand when a dog just needs a calm, comfortable environment. I’ve worked with different energy levels and personalities, and I always try to match how the dog naturally acts. I also keep owners updated with photos and quick check-ins so you’re never wondering how things are going. My goal is simple: make your dog feel safe and make you feel confident leaving them with me. I’m currently in school during the mornings, but I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I already work with a few regular dog walking clients, so I’m used to sticking to consistent schedules and being on time. I have a flexible routine and can adjust to your dog’s normal schedule for walks, feeding, and care. When boarding, I have a large fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play and get their energy out. I also have two friendly dogs who are used to being around others, but I always introduce dogs slowly to make sure everyone is comfortable. I keep a close eye on all dogs at all times and can separate them if needed. I follow each dog’s routine carefully, including feeding and any special instructions. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing.

Leah came by to meet with Oliver and Hank and took so much time getting to know them. We talked through some issues Hank has with walking and not only did they manage them perfectly, but gave us some advice on how to make things better. It is obvious Leah truly cars for your fur babies. I never felt they were not in the best of care or had any apprehension whatsoever. I can not recommend Leah more highly. Thank you for taking care of our fur kids!!

About: I have over 7 years of pet sitting experience and have cared for many different animals including dogs, cats, birds, and more. I have worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for over 2 years where I supervised playgroups including pooltime, cared for boarding pets, bathed dogs, blow dried coats, and trimmed nails. I currently work as a veterinary assistant where I help with treatments, medications, vaccines, blood draws, dental cleanings, X-rays, IV fluids, anesthesia monitoring, recovery care, and more. I am currently in school to become a veterinarian and have a strong passion for animal care. I am experienced with pets of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. I treat every pet like my own and always focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. I am a responsible and dependable college student with a flexible schedule. During the school year, I attend classes in person and carefully plan my time to ensure pets receive consistent care, attention, and exercise. In the summer, I take classes online from home, allowing me to be available throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I understand the importance of trust when caring for a pet, and I am committed to providing reliable, attentive, and loving care while keeping owners updated and informed. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, safe, and loving environment where pets can feel at home. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requirements. I make sure pets always have fresh water, supervision, exercise, and plenty of affection. I will treat your pet like a member of my own family and keep you updated throughout their stay.

About: Growing up, my family always had at least 7 pets. I’ve taken care of 4 dogs of my own through puppy to senior years and have been the neighborhood pet sitter for 8 years. After June 30, I’ve got a free summer before I return to college in the fall. I have pretty much full availability as long as I have a heads up! I understand how important it is for animals to feel safe and to be paid attention to. I love animals and care for them thoroughly with patience.

Larry is amazing! He quickly established a rapport with my skittish Goldendoodle, and my big dog (96 lbs) is putty in his hands. Larry even put my trash bins away, which is huge considering I'm on crutches. My animals know they can fully trust Larry, and so do I.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
