“Thank you so much for being accommodating and being able to do a second drop in visit within a few hours notice. Plus they are amazing with my puppy.”

About: I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am comfortable with all breeds.I work from home full time and have the flexibility for frequent bathroom breaks as needed. I have a small fenced area for ouside time and enjoy walks through the neighborhood when the weather allows. I work from home so I am able to provide care throughout the day without the worry of your pet being left alone for an extended period. On the occasions where I have to leave, pets are free to roam the house or can be crated at the owners request based off the pets comfort level and behavior when left alone. My work schedule allows for flexible breaks for pet care. I have a large back yard and live on a quiet street perfect for walks. I am also able to provide drop in visits throughout the day if caring for the animals in your home.
“Courtney is has been a great sitter for us. Our dog is elderly and sometimes requires more attention than normal or requested and Courtney always seems to go above and beyond during the visits. Thank you so much for all your help and support.”

“Julia was great at communicating and sending us updates while we were away. It was a relief to know we had someone who would love our pups as much as us to take care of them.”

“I'm so glad Tanya is in my neighborhood. She is very reliable and I can tell from her pictures and messages that she really cares about my dog. I would recommend her and will book her again.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting and house sitting since I was in high school and have years of experience caring for animals of all kinds. While living in New York, I was trusted to house sit for high-profile clients, often for extended periods of time. I also ran a neonatal kitten rescue and currently have four cats of my own, giving me extensive experience caring for animals with a wide range of needs. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds—from Rottweilers and Pit Bulls to toy breeds and everything in between. I’m comfortable caring for energetic, strong, and large dogs as well as seniors, puppies, and smaller companions. Friends and family regularly rely on me for pet sitting because they know their pets will be treated like my own. I offer drop-in visits, dog walks, overnight stays, and house sitting. I’m also comfortable handling unexpected situations and have taken pets to emergency veterinary appointments when needed. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while giving you peace of mind that your pets and home are in good hands. I currently work full time so before work or after work is when I have the most availability to play with pets and walk them! I am unable to care for animals in my home other than my own. I am willing to spend the night or do drop ins as needed.
“Dillon watched Nala and Beamer for the first time for about 4-5 days while we were away! He was very responsive, consistent, and took great care of the pups. They were excited to see him each day he arrived! Will definitely book with Dillon in the future!”

“Hannah went above and beyond taking care of our furry kids. She's reliable, kind, and gives great attention to detail. I will absolutely be calling her again for our next pet sitting needs. What a great experience and so comforting to know that our pets were so well taken care of.”

This chick is phenomenal! She has a great personality and is very engaged with animals. My German shepherd loves her and even gets to play in the water with her. Her communication skills are stellar. I received live updates and photos while at work. If you want someone reliable and dedicated to your fur babies, she is it. I HIGHLY recommend her! <3

Emma is the absolute best!!!! We are incredibly grateful that we found her after moving to North Carolina. She is wonderful with our dog Mac, always so accommodating/flexible to help last minute, and she makes sure to send the cutest photos and detailed updates throughout her stay. I’ve never had to worry for a second about Macky when I’ve been traveling knowing he’s in such good hands, and that says a lot coming from a paranoid dog-mom! We can’t wait to have her back! ☺️🐕

- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
