“Kaitlyn was wonderful! She sent updates with adorable photos. She was on time and very flexible with our pets needs/behaviors. We will definitely be reaching out to her for services requests again.”

“Brooke is really great with dogs! Boone seems to really like her. She sent us pictures of him throughout the day and was very responsive when we had a question. She’s flexible with your schedule and needs and does a lot to accommodate your pups needs. She slept with our pup each night.”

“Alicia was perfect in every way. She took great care of our babies while we were gone for a week, she was early to her interview with us, stayed the entire time and when she did leave for work or family, she let us know each time she left and came back so we were comforted that our dogs were still safe. She sent photos and many messages letting us know how they were, but she also checked in on us to make sure we were having fun and were safe. She cleaned up after herself and a bit more, washed and folded all of her bed linens so we didn’t have more laundry when we got home. She is very compassionate and selfless. Our babies were very happy and healthy when we got back and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We will 100% be using her again.”

“We’re very happy with the care Thor received! Jeremy did a great job looking after him—very attentive, responsible, and caring. He was also an excellent communicator, keeping us updated throughout his time with him. Thor seemed happy and well taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend!”

“We had the BEST experience with Loren watching our dogs! She watched our two golden retrievers and even brought her own golden over during the day so they could all play together. Our boys loved it! She kept us updated, took great care of everyone, and treated our house like it was her own. She sent lots of cute pictures too. Highly recommend Loren and will definitely use her again in the future🤩”

“John was so good with my dogs and cats, I immediately felt comfortable with him caring for them. The pictures and videos he sent showed content and happy pets that were having fun and clearly enamored with him. The house was tidy and everyone was happy and relaxed when we arrived home. Thank you!!”

“Maverick did a great job house sitting for us over the weekend. My anxious german shepherd took to him right away and I felt super comfortable leaving him in charge of our 6 babies. He kept in touch with us throughout the stay providing pictures and updates on how everyone was doing. Will absolutely be booking with him in the future.”

“Aja was absolutely amazing and by far and away the best dog sitter we have ever had. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and attention to instructions is something we should all strive for in our respective fields. My wife and I had absolutely zero concerns about the well-being of our doggos with Aja, which made for that much more enjoyable of a trip for us knowing they were in the absolute best hands. 10/10 WILL book again.”

“Arianna stayed with our dog over Thanksgiving weekend. She was great at updating us and giving Casper his medications and sticking with his schedule. Highly recommend her for all your pet needs 😊”
“Vanessa is our family. She TRULY cares about our fur children and treats them and our home as her own. She’s incredibly hard working, kind, and trustworthy. Don’t know what we would do without her!”

“I am a veterinarian with very high standards for my pet care and almost never write reviews, so the fact I am will tell you how pleased I was with the job she did for us. I was looking for a unicorn, and I found one. Someone who could manage my herding dog who needs a lot of attention, exercise and management…and also someone familiar with the care and maintenance of reptiles. My house sitting instructions were long and involved, but Evie exceeded expectations. We look forward to using her services many times in the future.”

“Hannah was absolutely wonderful and on short notice on Christmas weekend!!!! She was extremely responsive in setting up an initial meet and greet and even brought US cookies when she showed up for the stay. Our dogs were more than comfortable with her and loved all the extra snuggles and we loved all the pics and updates while we were away. I would highly recommend to anyone with fur babies!! :)”

“Christine was truly the best sitter we could have asked for, and Honey and Maple absolutely adored her. She watched my girls for two weeks while we were overseas, and I honestly could not have felt better about leaving them with her. She treated them like they were her own and was so attentive to all of their little quirks. Somehow, without me even telling her, she figured out things like how they like to be tucked in when they go to sleep. 😂 She really got to know them and their personalities while we were gone. Honey and Maple are also very much sighthounds, so they come with some specific challenges. They can be picky about eating, and when they get playing too hard, they have a tendency to accidentally tear their skin. Christine handled both so well. She played with them constantly to keep them active and interested in eating, and she was so attentive to their play that she could redirect them before they got too rough. I came home to two happy dogs with no issues at all. She was also an amazing communicator and took great care of our house. More than anything, it was obvious how much she genuinely loved the dogs. I felt like she cared for them just as well as I would have, which is honestly the highest compliment I could give a sitter. I would trust Christine with Honey and Maple again without hesitation, and we will absolutely be hiring her again. If you are looking for someone who will really get to know your dogs and care for them like her own, I cannot recommend her enough. ❤️”

“We were gone for a week and our pets were well taken care of. Mary would visit once a week for a few weeks before we left to let the dogs get used to her. This helped tremendously! She sent daily updates and pics. We will definitely use her again when we go away. It removes a giant burden knowing our pets are well cared for while we’re gone.”

“I had a great experience with Jennifer! She stayed in my home and took wonderful care of my two very energetic (and sometimes chaotic!) dogs. From the moment we met, I could tell she was comfortable handling high-energy pups, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with messages and photos, and it was clear my dogs were happy and well cared for the entire time. What really impressed me was that she even worked on some training with them during her stay. That extra effort meant a lot and showed how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. I came home to two happy dogs and a house just as I left it. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful sitter.”

“Ginny kept my 15 1/2 year-old Chihuahua for 5 days and 4 nights with zero problems. Darla is an energetic dog, loves her walks, and her routine set up to accommodate medication’s for her stabilized kidney disease. Darla loved Ginny at first sight.Ginny caught on to her behavior in the mornings and how coy she was about eating her breakfast, which contained her days worth of her medication. She never missed a morning walk before her breakfast, which she ate every day. Darla slept in the room with her from the first night on. She is amazing at making a dog comfortable and being patient with them, especially my older dog. I was so impressed. She stayed in contact with me through pictures and text messages, asking only one question that was quickly answered. Bottom line, Darla the Chihuahua gives her 5 stars and so do I.”

Micah was fantastic!! Murphy and Oliver were well cared for while we were gone. Knowing they were in such good hands allowed us to truly enjoy our time away without worrying. We came home to happy pets and a clean house. We will absolutely book Micah again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter! 5 STAR⭐️

Dogs were happy to see Brianna on initial visit, and extremely happy on her last visit to drop off the key, so it's a sign that things went well in between. Communication was clear and prompt before, during, and after. It's clear that Brianna cares for pets, and she handled her duties without being disruptive to the house. I'd book Brianna again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Willow Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Willow Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willow Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
