“Kayla did a wonderful job taking care of our 5 cats! Her calm demeanor put them at ease and allowed them to approach her feeling comfortable and safe. We could tell from the texts she sent that they were treating her as a new part of their family. She managed the different supplements added to their diets as well as the one who is on daily meds. Kayla's daily photos and texts were reassuring and we knew the cats were being well cared for. I can honestly say that this is the first vacation in several years that we were able to enjoy ourselves and not worry. We could tell when we got home that all 5 had been comfortable in their routine as if we had never left. Thank you, Kayla!!!”
“Nikki is amazing! She gave our dog such care, love, and attention! We had such confidence that he was being well cared for. Nikki was always on time, and gave us wonderful pictures of our little boy. We will be using Nikki again whenever we need to! 5 stars+”

“Dillon was so wonderful with our pups! He was very attentive and with a more of a last minute request - he made availability for us. Nala and Beamer were very happy! Thank you!!!”

“Anastasiya took wonderful care of our senior cat. She was responsive to all of my questions. She took care of our. Home as it were hers while we were away. I highly recommend her.”

“Yet another great experience with Lillie. She has proven to be reliable, caring, and loving to my old man pup. I will not hesitate to choose Lillie as my first option anytime I need care for my pup!”

“Brooke was great taking care of our cockatiels! She communicated every step of the way and even accommodated us as the snow storm got in the way of our trip. Would definitely recommend!”

“Griffin's communication is great, extremely polite and attentive, very professional, and our cat Lulu was very receptive and enjoyed the company! I will be using Griffin in the future as well!”

“Faith popped in to feed and water our cat while we were away. He's a shy kitty but I felt he was taken care of. She messaged me when she was there and gave me updates. I appreciate her very much.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for both large and small breeds. Growing up, my dad bred dogs and my grandpa has always owned dogs, so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. Through the years, I’ve gained experience feeding, walking, playing with, bathing, and providing daily care for dogs with a variety of personalities and energy levels. I currently have two dogs of my own—a male German Shorthaired Pointer and a female Miniature Dachshund—which has given me firsthand experience caring for both high-energy working breeds and smaller companion dogs. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, or relaxing with plenty of attention, I’ll treat them with the same patience, care, and affection that I give my own. I have availability Monday-Friday 7am to 5pm. I don’t currently have any other responsibility’s other than my 4 year old daughter, who goes to daycare during the day during the week. I do not have a fenced in yard but any pups will be taken out with a leash. I have 2 friendly pups and my mom’s also got 2 sweet babies who love playing with other doggies!! I have no issue working with crate training or potty training requirements.
About: I know how truly important it is to find someone who’s reliable, trustworthy and professional when considering pet arrangements, whether that’s just a potty break or multiple days of sitting. I have three dogs of my own at the moment and have 12 years of care experience. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages, all personality types and all training levels. I typically have a very flexible schedule to accommodate most hours or need. Weekends, weekdays, holidays. I’m here to make sure this is a low stress experience for everyone. I care for my own dogs with daily walks, daily enrichment in the form of play or training time.. and of course, plenty of affection.
“Super kind, personable, and responsible young lady. I hired her to do drop-ins while I was out of town for two days. She was FANTASTIC. Always checked in on time, and my dogs LOVE her. She was house and pet sitting next door, and our neighbors are also very happy with her. Highly recommend.”

About: I was taught from a young age how to take properly care of dogs and have often dogs sat and baby sat simultaneously for multiple families. I work 3 nights a week and often have multiple days off or time in between shifts to give love and care to your animals! I have a dog friendly rescue who loves to meet new people and animals. I can easily crate pets if needed and have an acre and a half for them to run around.

About: I’ve had dogs of all shapes and sizes my entire life and haven’t found one I don’t love! My wife brought a sweet one eyed cat into my life and I have found a new love for them as well. I currently have a 10 year old senior pitbull and a very high energy 1 year old american bully who would be a great play friend for any energy matching dog. I love to run and my previous dog was the best running partner I ever had. I would love to find an athlete to take out for some exercise! You can also find me on Wag! I currently work part time so I’m home and available after 2pm. My days completely off during the week are Sun & Mon but I am still available for walks and play in the afternoons throughout the week. I have a huge 3/4 acre fully fenced in yard with lots of room to run and play. I have 2 friendly dogs. One being a lazy 10 year old man and one being a very high energy 1 year old that has yet to meet his match!
“Elissa is a true professional! She’s organized, has attention to detail, and most importantly reliable. She sent us thorough updates after each drop in visit with pictures that put our minds at ease knowing our babies were in good hands. She went above and beyond by doing stimulation activities with the pups at each visit, brought our mail in, and was willing to adjust our finicky AC throughout the day to meet the dogs needs. Dax and Riley will definitely request her services again!”

About: I’ve grown up my entire life with dogs and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember, they are a blessing! I currently intern twice a week, so other than that I a more than happy to help your furry friends! I take care of my dogs when I am home, so it is nothing new! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room as well as a safe neighborhood to bring and walk the dogs in, as this is the priority!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
