“I had a bad experience with a previous rover sitter so I was so reluctant to leave my baby but Casey eased all of that! She was extremely attentive with our baby. To the point where she will be my go to whenever I'm in the area and she is available. She was kind, very responsive and really eased all of my concerns. Thank you again for caring for our baby especially during our time of need!”

“Teresa was amazing and treated our dog like her own! I am pretty sure she did not want to leave! We were so pleased to be able to leave her with someone that took such good care of her! We loved the pictures we got every day and we will definitely be back!! They were wonderful!!”

“Kelley was a great babysitter for Darcy. She kept us updated with photos throughout the weekend! Darcy who is a year and a half had the best time with her boys. I would definitely recommend Kelley to anyone looking for a sitter and I will be using her again!”

“Susan was fantastic! Hobbes had a great time and was so happy when he got to her place and saw that fenced in yard. Susan communicated often and was really responsive! Highly highly recommend!”

“Bo is a 16-year-old dog who has anxiety and doesn’t really like change so I was very nervous to leave him for five days. Carlita was so patient with Bo. She also helped ease my worry by sending daily updates with pictures/video! The first and last time we boarded Bo at a facility he looked depressed in the cameras; with Carlita he looked happy and was smiling!! I will certainly be reaching out to Carlita in the future! Thank you Carlita for taking such wonderful care of our Bo!!”

“Our dog Jazzy was very well taken care of! We loved the photos and updates and we appreciate how attentive you were to her tendencies and her personality. She definitely had a great time playing with the other dogs there as well. We will definitely recommend to others and come back!”

“Great sitter and sent great updates with pictures. Has his own leash that he’s able to walk 2 dogs at once which is quite impressive considering how all over the place our dogs can be. Definitely recommend!”

“This was the first time my two dogs stayed with Alex, and we were away for five days. The experience was outstanding! Alex’s communication immediately put me at ease, and her attention to detail went above and beyond. All the photos she sent made me so happy—I knew my dogs were in great hands. When we picked them up, it was clear they had been well cared for. There’s no doubt we’ll have Alex watch Sunny and Twigg again! Laura”

“David and Johanna did a great job! I could tell when I dropped my dog off that he was going to be in good hands. I would love to have them watch Lambeau again.”

“We felt so reassured knowing Sunny was in such caring hands! Mitzi and her family provided daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Their communication was excellent, and it’s clear they are compassionate dog lovers through and through. Sunny was well cared for, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Mitzi is truly fantastic!”

“She was super sweet I was late dropping her off and picking her up. She was so nice about everything she is a good sitter and patient with me. Will definitely book again.”

About: I work fully from home, which allows me to offer a highly attentive and flexible level of care throughout the day. Dogs in my care receive consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods. I also have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and my neighborhood has sidewalks that are ideal for daily walks. I currently have two dogs of my own: Neo, a Lab mix, and Luna, a Golden Retriever. Caring for them daily gives me strong hands-on experience with different temperaments, routines, and energy levels, and I’m very comfortable adjusting care based on each dog’s personality and needs. I also foster dogs, including dogs with medical needs and behavioral challenges. This has given me experience administering medication, managing behaviors, recognizing stress signals, and reinforcing basic training techniques when needed. I am comfortable caring for dogs that require extra patience, structure, or individualized attention. Because I truly love dogs and enjoy spending time with them, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and secure. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, and I treat every dog in my care with the same attention and responsibility I give my own. I intentionally provide quality, attentive care and only take bookings I can fully commit to, so each dog receives the attention they deserve. I work from home full time, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. Because I’m home throughout the day, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, supervision, companionship, and as many potty breaks as needed. I can easily incorporate walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication if needed, and rest time into the day while making sure each dog feels comfortable and cared for. Safety is very important to me. I have a fully fenced yard with a 6-foot fence, which provides a secure space for dogs to spend time outside safely. Because I work from home full time, dogs in my care receive full attention, close supervision, and are never left alone for long periods. I make sure each dog feels comfortable, secure, and cared for while following their routine and any specific instructions provided by their owner.
“Andrea was very easy to work with. We did a Meet and Greet a few weeks before Oskar stayed with her. She sent pictures and updates almost every day. She responded promptly to my messages. I would consider sending Oskar to Andrea again if I needed a dog sitter.”

“She was an amazing dog sitter. She kept Sheba for 3 days and kept us informed the entire time. She let us know right away if anything was off and truly cared about Sheba’s wellbeing. She was also very kind and professional when we met. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her.”

“We had an initial meet n greet the week before and they seemed to click with the house! They were kind of chill when I picked them up which was unusual but really cool. I was sent pics of them lounging on the couch, so cute. Thanks to Kristen, Paula, Bentley the moyan and to the cute teeny bopper (sorry I forgot your name hon but I'm old now so please forgive.) I feel like my pups had their best first experience with some lovely pet sitters. Best regards, Diane”

“Kelly was fabulous with my two doodles. I had never left them with somebody before and because my oldest dog has sight issues I was very nervous, but Kelly put me at ease immediately. Every day she would send me photos or videos with a little snippet about how things were going. I looked forward to seeing the photos and I could tell that they were having fun running around her yard. It is obvious that Kelly loves dogs and I will definitely use her again.”

“We were extremely happy with the care Julia gave our very timid pup. Julia was very willing to set up a puppy playpen for our little guy. She was very patient with him and eventually he came out of his safe space playpen. Julia sent pictures and text updates every day. By the end of his stay our pup seemed comfortable in her home and would go outside with her. Julia's patience with our timid pup was above and beyond. Her updates a picture helped to reduce our concerns of leaving our pup behind. We found him happy and healthy upon our return. We will definitely look to request Julia again.”

“Isabel was so thoughtful, kind and wonderful with our senior pup. She sent us pictures daily and gave us regular updates. I felt as if she loved our dog as her own. We would highly recommend Isabel! 🫶🏻”

“Cay is awesome! Addie had the best time hanging out and almost didn’t want to come home because she had so much fun 😂 would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for dog boarding. Thanks again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
