“Courtney was amazing! She was very good at communicating and was available on very short notice. My pup loved her and enjoyed her walks with her. She looked so happy on all her update photos! Will definitely book with her again!”

“Leah is an amazing dog walker for Emmie! She is attentive, always receptive to what our pup needs, and as an added bonus takes great pics of her for our enjoyment! Emmie loves her!”

“Larry is amazing! He quickly established a rapport with my skittish Goldendoodle, and my big dog (96 lbs) is putty in his hands. Larry even put my trash bins away, which is huge considering I'm on crutches. My animals know they can fully trust Larry, and so do I.”

“Jen was excellent! She sent me pictures from the walk and was very communicative throughout the process. She’s very kind and I could tell my puppy loved her. I will be using her services again.”
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and always find myself drawn to them. As a young woman searching for my purpose, I want to spend my time doing what fulfills me. I have been pet sitting for my friend who has a dog aggressive dog, and enjoy spending the quality time with her. I will always give exceptional care and focus on forming lasting friendships with the animals in my care. Friendships that last longer than a meet and greet or drop-in visit. I am always looking out for the pet and putting their needs first. I pay attention to animal behavior and never push past their limit, to ensure a good relationship is being built. My primary goal is to make sure the client and pet are comfortable. I currently am not in school or employed as I recently moved to the area. I have lots of time on my hands to spend with your baby. I will always put the pet's needs first, and ensure I keep their schedule the same as my client does for them. I care for the animal and the home and keep it just as I found it.
About: I have taken care of many types of dogs, doing everything from feeding to walking to giving medicine to my aunt’s senior dog. I have even worked with a sweet blind pupper too! I have an open schedule to care for your doggos during weekdays. I am also available weekend days too, if needed. Last minute needs I can accommodate too. I have 3 dogs of my own, a black lab, and two pittie mix babes. My husband’s cousin has entrusted us with the care of her pittie doggo while dealing with health issues. My aunt who lives across the street from me has me look after her two dogs when she travels out of town.
“I fully recommend Mrs. Lura! She is very kind and so sweet with my fur baby, Navy! Mrs. Lura watched my baby for a few weeks when I was in need and my fur baby enjoyed her very much! It was so nice to have someone I could trust to come in my home and make sure my pup was taken care of! I fully recommend her for any of your pets needs. 10/10 and will definitely reach out in the future! We appreciate you, Mrs. Lura! Thank you again!”

About: Whether you have a dog, a cat or both I will be there for your fur-baby and their needs! For those with special needs I am very attentive. Should they just need to rest…I will be there too. My other job is driving for Uber and I work that around Pet Sitting so I'll have plenty of time to walk, play or care for your special friend! I'm not currently available for boarding as my daughter is staying with me and we both have kitties. I like to work my schedule around the pet’s schedule and needs, and provide what each pet is used to on a daily basis - feeding times, medicine administration, sleeping habits, walks, etc.
About: Hello, I’m Jess! I grew up around animals from the time I could walk until now. I’ve had dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, fish and a horse! I’ve always felt so comfortable and at ease around all kinds of animals and have always tried to help every animal I can (even if my parents didn’t appreciate it haha). I currently moved down to North Carolina with my cat and lived with 4 other cats, 4 dogs, and 6 birds before now. I also rescued a 9week old kitten from a dumpster a couple months ago! I’m really excited to have the chance to care for your fur babies while you’re unavailable! I can ensure they will stick to any schedule they may have, have any necessary medications on time, and are happy and safe before I let them have their “me” time! I’m currently working night shifts, part time, so I’m available during the day for our pets and late at night! I typically have 3 days off per week and am able to work around my work schedule to ensure your pets have the best care possible! I like to come in and figure out what I can do to make the fur babies days a little better! Make sure they have food, water, find some treats and toys for them, and have a field day of play! I always triple check that my home and my clients homes are clean and safe when I leave so we don’t risk accidents happening and so everyone can rest easy! My primary concern is always your pets safety and well-being, as well as my own, so you can rest assured your pets will remain in a safe and happy environment while I’m there!

About: I’ve been providing loving pet care and dog walking services since 2010, with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. My background started in childcare as a nanny, where caring for the family’s pets naturally became part of the role. Over the years, that grew into extensive pet care experience including walks, drop-in visits, in-home care, vet visits, administering medications, basic training reinforcement, and grooming support. Caring for animals is more than just a side job for me—it’s something I truly enjoy. I love building trust with both pets and their owners, and I take pride in being dependable, consistent, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether your dog needs exercise, companionship, routine care, or just a reliable person while you’re away, I’m here to help and treat them like family. I had the pleasure of being a stay-at-home mom to my 3 children for the last 12 years. I'm slowly merging back into the working world (part-time for now), but my dream would be to care for pets full-time. Currently, I'm available during the days my children are at school (8:30a.m.- 4p.m.) Monday-Friday. And 2 weekends out of the month, I'm completely available. Please let me know what you're looking for and there's a good chance I can make it happen, even outside these hours. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by adhering to their usual routines, whether that's in my home or yours. I will follow all instructions carefully--feeding schedules, medication needs, potty breaks, walks, etc. In a client's home, I'm very respectful of your space. I keep things clean, stick to agreed-upon areas, and make sure everything is left exactly how I found it. Safety and security for both you and your pet is my priority. I will monitor gates and doors, making sure they are secured as need be. When walking, I stay alert in the environment, monitoring all my surroundings. Your pet(s) will get plenty of TLC, attention, and playtime, taking note of their individual temperament and what it's calling for. Communication is very important to me. I will always send updates and photos so owners feel confident and at ease while they're away.

I currently have a 10 year old senior pitbull and a very high energy 1 year old american bully who would be a great play friend for any energy matching dog. I love to run and my previous dog was the best running partner I ever had. I would love to find an athlete to take out for some exercise! I currently work Tue-Sat and available after 2pm. My days completely off during the week are Sun & Mon but I am still available for walks and play in the afternoons throughout the week. I have an approx 3/4 acre fully fenced in yard with lots of room to run and play. I have 2 friendly dogs, a lazy 10 year old and a high energy 1 year old that has yet to meet his match!

“Anastasiya took our girl Charlotte (5 year old Shepsky) for walks while my wife and I went out of town for 4 days. Charlotte can pull from time to time while walking, Anastasiya handled the walks like a pro. She took excellent care of our pup. She was punctual, affordable, dependable, communicated well and went above and beyond for our girl. She will be who we use anytime we go out of town! Thanks Anastasiya!”
About: I know how truly important it is to find someone who’s reliable, trustworthy and professional when considering pet arrangements, whether that’s just a potty break or multiple days of sitting. I have three dogs of my own at the moment and have 12 years of care experience. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages, all personality types and all training levels. I typically have a very flexible schedule to accommodate most hours or need. Weekends, weekdays, holidays. I’m here to make sure this is a low stress experience for everyone. I care for my own dogs with daily walks, daily enrichment in the form of play or training time.. and of course, plenty of affection.
About: Hi, I’m Dillon! I’ve been taking care of dogs for a while now through my own dog walking clients, and I’ve built a routine around being consistent, on time, and really paying attention to each dog’s needs. I’m very active, so I enjoy longer walks and playtime, but I also understand when a dog just needs a calm, comfortable environment. I’ve worked with different energy levels and personalities, and I always try to match how the dog naturally acts. I also keep owners updated with photos and quick check-ins so you’re never wondering how things are going. My goal is simple: make your dog feel safe and make you feel confident leaving them with me. I’m currently in school during the mornings, but I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I already work with a few regular dog walking clients, so I’m used to sticking to consistent schedules and being on time. I have a flexible routine and can adjust to your dog’s normal schedule for walks, feeding, and care. When boarding, I have a large fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play and get their energy out. I also have two friendly dogs who are used to being around others, but I always introduce dogs slowly to make sure everyone is comfortable. I keep a close eye on all dogs at all times and can separate them if needed. I follow each dog’s routine carefully, including feeding and any special instructions. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing.
About: Lifelong dog lover and proud Boston Terrier mom. I give every pet the same love, attention, and care I give my own dogs, Max and Iris. Pet care is part of my daily life with my two Boston Terriers., I have the time and flexibility to give your dog plenty of love, walks, and attention. I’m semi-retired and have decided to pursue something I truly love — caring for dogs. Recently, while exploring local doggy daycare options for my own pups, I was shocked at how high the costs have become. It made me realize how many pet parents may feel stuck staying home because of the expense. That experience inspired me to create an affordable, loving alternative right here in North Raleigh. Overnight boarding covers up to 24 hours of care from drop-off to pick-up (drop-off after 8 AM, pick-up by 10 AM the following day). Pick-ups after 10 AM may include a Doggy Day Care fee for the extra time. I offer free meet-and-greets at the dog park right behind my building so we can make sure everyone gets along and you feel 100% comfortable before booking. It’s a great way for your pup to sniff around, meet Max and Iris, and see where the fun will happen. I know how important peace of mind is when you’re away from your dog. I’m happy to provide daily updates with photos and videos — time-stamped so you know exactly when they were taken — and you can reach out to me any time during your pup’s stay. I’m home most of the day aside from my workouts at the gym or grocery store visits, which means plenty of potty breaks — often every 2-3 hours — plus extra outdoor time for walks and play. I provide a safe, calm, and fully supervised environment at all times. Dogs are never left unattended, and I follow each pet’s routine closely. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty needs, and any special instructions to ensure every dog feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for during their stay.
About: I have always loved caring for animals and treat every pet like a member of the family. While I don’t currently have any pets of my own, that allows me to provide your dog with my full attention and a calm, comfortable environment during their stay. My home features a secure fenced-in patio with pet-friendly turf for outdoor time, and I’m fortunate to have a large dog park directly across the street as well as another dog-friendly area within my neighborhood. Whether your pup enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply relaxing, I can tailor their care to their individual needs. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and I have also volunteered with animal shelters, giving me a strong understanding of dog safety and behavior. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I would be honored to provide reliable, attentive care for your dog. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I am currently a nursing student and stay at home mom. This allows me to give your fur babies my full attention and lots of love and interactive play! I believe every pet is happiest when their normal routine is maintained as closely as possible. Before each booking, I take time to learn about your pet’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, medications, and any special instructions. In my home, pets receive plenty of supervision, attention, playtime, potty breaks, and a clean, safe environment. Dogs have access to a fenced-in patio with pet turf and can enjoy walks or trips to the nearby dog park if approved by their owner. Cats are provided with a quiet, comfortable space, fresh water, clean litter boxes, and enrichment activities tailored to their personality. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I follow all care instructions carefully, provide regular updates and photos, maintain feeding and medication schedules, clean up after pets, and make sure they receive plenty of attention and affection while their family is away. My priority is always making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
