Brandon works from home full-time, which means he is able to give plenty of attention and care to the pups in our home throughout the day. Between our four resident dogs and the many fosters and boarders we’ve cared for over the years, we're used to managing a full, happy pack! Stacy also works part-time and is home frequently to help provide love, structure, and supervision. There’s almost always someone here to keep tails wagging and routines running smoothly. 😊

At Safe Haven Puppy Inn, your dog’s comfort and safety are our top priority. Our large fully fenced backyard offers plenty of space for dogs to run, play, and explore. Indoors, we’ve converted our insulated garage into a temperature-controlled dog suite with space to stretch out and relax; cool and comfy even on hot days! Whether your pup is active or mellow, young, or senior, we provide a safe, welcoming environment tailored to their needs. Our own dogs are gentle, friendly, and always excited to welcome new guests.

Special requests, training, and expectations We welcome detailed instructions and special requests, no detail is too small! You're the expert on your dog, and the more we know, the better we can tailor their stay for comfort, consistency, and fun. 😊 We also strongly prefer dogs who already have some training or structure at home, or puppies who are actively being trained and whose routines we can reinforce during their stay. While we’re experienced with many breeds, personalities, and training needs, we’ve found that guests with at least a basic foundation tend to adjust more easily and enjoy their time here to the fullest.
A typical day
Our first priority with any pup in our care is to help them feel safe and settled, both in our home and among our pack (if you prefer for them to have socialization!). Once they're comfortable, we tailor the day to suit their personality, energy level, and routine. From there, the possibilities are wide open: we might play fetch or tug in the spacious fenced yard, go for strolls through our quiet neighborhood, or spend time on leash practicing positive-reinforcement training in the air-conditioned garage or driveway. Let us know what your dog enjoys most—we can build a routine around it!

We know “Benson” might sound far, but we’re actually just 25 minutes from downtown Raleigh and minutes from Garner- close enough to be convenient, far enough to offer a peaceful retreat your pup will love. Need help getting here? We also offer local pickup and drop-off for your convenience! Whether your dog needs structured care, room to run, or a calm, loving environment, we’re here to offer all of that, and more! 🐶 What Makes Us Different: Home-based, never facility-like. To ensure every dog receives the care, attention, and love they deserve, we only take up to four guest dogs at a time. This lets us create a calm, personalized experience that big facilities simply can’t match. Over ½ acre of beautiful fenced yard- room to run, sniff, and play all day! Guest pups can relax, play and socialize with our four sweet rescue dogs. Always supervised– Brandon works from home full-time and Stacy only works part-time, so your dog will never be left alone for long. Years of experience- we’ve fostered dozens of puppies and dogs for two local rescue organizations, we have been dogsitting for years, and have experience with puppies, seniors, and special needs dogs. This isn’t just a side gig for us, it’s something we’ve built with purpose. We recently moved into this home specifically to improve Safe Haven Puppy Inn, choosing a property with a huge, beautiful fenced yard and enough space to give dogs the calm, enriching environment they truly deserve.
