“Sammy had a wonderful visit with Vanessa! She sent lots of cute pics and was very flexible with drop off and pick up. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy!”

“Anna and Rob did the best job taking care of our pups sending daily pictures/updates and making sure they were well taken care of and loved while we traveled. We will definitely be using them again for our next trip!”

“Sharon is wonderful and caring. Lucy is 12 years old and slow to warm up to new experiences. Lucy sure warmed up to Sharon and her sweet dogs. My only concern is Lucy may expect better treatment at home now. She sent updates and pictures which we all enjoyed. Thanks Sharon for being Lucy’s home away from home.”

“Carol is awesome! Clean dog-friendly safe home. My pups were immediately comfortable with her. She was a great host, awesome communication. We will be back. Highly recommmend!”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I now have one Pomeranian named Zoey. I watch my granddaughter’s four dogs whenever they go out of town. This includes a beagle, two huskies, and an eight month old puppy. Between the husky and the puppy energy I have learned to watch out for everything and expect anything! I’m retired so I’m home most of the time. I might run to the grocery store or an appointment then return home right afterwards so your babies won’t be left alone long. Although I do not have a fenced yard, I do have a decent size yard for your pups to explore while leashed. I also live in a neighborhood which allows me to take your pups for walks and keep them away from the busy roads.
“We were super impressed with Angela when she dog sat our 2 Bichons while we were on vacation for a week. She texted us photos and updates daily and she kept up with our dogs schedule for food/walks/medication. Our dogs got along great with her dog Arya and seemed to like having a dog friend around for their stay. Our dogs usually come home cranky and upset we left them, but not after staying with Angela! We will 100% be using her again in the future!”

“Taylor was FANTASTIC. We had never left our dog with anyone besides family before so this was a big leap of faith. Our dog is super anxious and Taylor worked to make her comfortable. She was incredibly responsive and sent lots of updates. Definitely spoiled our girl.”

“Polina was absolutely amazing with my dog! She took such great care of him — he was happy, calm, and clearly well-loved when I picked him up. Her communication was excellent throughout, and I always felt at ease knowing he was in good hands. I highly recommend Polina to anyone looking for a caring and responsible dog sitter!”

“Over all great! Took great care of my dog and updated me on her well being throughout the whole night! Even made her a scarf which was also so sweet! 10/10 recommend!!!!!!!”

“Daisy had an amazing stay at Daria’s - she was right at home there! We’re so grateful for the attention and care Daria provided Daisy. I’m pretty sure Daisy misses her already.”

“Adrienne was great! She treated Lincoln like he was part of her family from the beginning. Communication was amazing with pictures and updates throughout the week. We will definitely book with Adrienne again in the future!”

“Evelyn was wonderful with our dog! This was our first time having her stay with Evelyn, and we were very happy with the experience. She was extremely responsive and kept us updated each day on how our dog was doing, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She was very communicative and upfront throughout the stay, and we really appreciated how thoughtful and caring she was. Our dog had a great time and especially enjoyed playing with Evelyn’s kids. Evelyn also told us what a wonderful dog she was, which was so sweet to hear! We would definitely recommend Evelyn and would happily have her watch our dog again.”

“David and Stephanie took great care of my girl. We were able to do a quick meet and greet with David before my trip. They were very accommodating and wonderful about sending me updates about Honey’s day with photos of her. I will definitely be using them whenever possible for future travels.”

“Deanna is amazing, she made my little guy at home, she took very good care of him and gave lots of updates. He settled in within 24 hours which is not like him. Thanks Deanna!!”

“Nilesh was great and very professional. He was able to accommodate our overnight boarding weekend at very short notice and gave lots of communication and photos over the stay. Our dog Peggy had a great time and even came away with a little treat bag. I would definitely book with Nilesh again. Thank you!”

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of our Asher boy! He had the best time and was so loved while we were gone. We got updates and pictures and didn’t worry at all while we were away! Highly recommend Javarris for pet sitting!”

“Grace and Kyle have been amazing with our French bull dog Aubi! My husband and are I dentists and work full time, so Aubi would go weekly to their house for daycare while we are at work. They’ve also done overnight stays for us and have been wonderful. They take care of our baby like she’s their own! And she gets lots of exercise with them so they help keep her in shape. She gets along great with Grace’s two dogs Pinto and Beans. Grace sends lots of updates and photos and is super quick and responsive on the app. Our dog is pretty high maintenance and sometimes won’t eat when we are out of town and Grace was so kind and caring she hand fed our little diva her food. I would 100% recommend Grace and her husband to anyone looking for someone to watch their furry friends :)!”

“Amanda was so great for Buddy! She was so flexible in meeting us prior to his stay, and she kept me updated throughout with pictures and video. Whenever I asked how he was doing she promptly replied with a story about his time with her. It was a great comfort knowing that she really cared about his well being while we were gone. Thank you Amanda!”

Diana and Jesse took care of our dog when we were away. They constantly kept me updated and shared pictures. Dexter is usually a shy and introvert dog but they made him super comfortable. He made friends there. He looked happy with Diana and Jesse. We were at peace knowing that Diana and Jesse are there to look after our dog.

Zainab is awesome. Our Macy is a recent rescue and she was very timid. Zainab understands her needs and gives her all the attention and assurance she needs while we are away. She keeps us updated on how Macy is doing and was very patient with Macy. We will definitely book Macy with Zainab again when needed. Thank you Zainab, we really appreciate it!

Claire took wonderful care of Leo while we were away. He came home happy, tired, and totally himself — no stress at all. We got regular photo updates that made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip. Her place is clean, safe, and clearly set up for dogs. Would absolutely book again and recommend her to anyone looking for boarding!

Camille is wonderful!! This was my fur baby and I first time apart, being super nervous as imagined. However, her passion for being a cat sitter exudes joy and comfort. Ensured my fur baby was comfortable. They became friends by the time of pick up. I told Camille she’s apart of the family now. I received communications via photos and videos each day which also provided major comfort. I highly recommend this young lady!! You won’t be this disappointed!! Definitely, my go to sitter!!

She was absolutely amazing I was really scared to leave my baby but she took videos and pictures and didn’t make me feel crazy for how many updates I wanted. Mocha had such a good time and it really made me feel so at ease that they loved her the same way that I do

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
