“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Ashley & PJ. From the very beginning, they were thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely caring toward Cooper. During uncertain winter road conditions, they were proactive, reassuring, and put safety first without hesitation. Cooper was clearly loved and comfortable, so much so that he came home already hinting at another visit! 😊 It means everything to know your dog is not just looked after, but truly cared for. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone kind, dependable, and wonderful with dogs.”

“Alison, Tim and the kids were so sweet and caring taking care of Ru!! They provided updates all along and were very loving and attentive to Ru — she seemed so happy in all the photos and we would absolutely recommend them to care for anyone’s pets — we hope to have them take care of Ru again ❤️”

“Sharon was great with my sweet Marbles. This was his first overnight stay with her. I felt completely comfortable leaving him with Sharon and her 2 adorable dogs after our meet and greet and a day care session to get familiar with each other. When I picked Marbles up after 3 days he seemed very happy. I know I made the right choice trusting Sharon with our fur baby. Thanks Sharon.”

“Lesley and her family took such amazing care of our dog, Banjo. Banjo was happy, relaxed, and clearly felt at home with them. She kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can really tell that she and her family genuinely love animals and treat them like part of their own family. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have almost always had a dog in my home, and was responsible for feeding, bathing, walking, and loving on my animals. I’m an active volunteer at the Wake County Animal Center, where I routinely walk dogs of all backgrounds and sizes. I do have a black lab at home who is a big sweetheart and is great with other animals. I just quit my full time job to pursue a startup business that will occupy a lot of my hours but will be fully at home. I have a dog at home who I walk 2-5 miles each day in between meetings to refresh myself and give her stimulation and fun! I have a fenced in yard with lots of great smells, as we are surrounded by trees. We have a black lab named Dixie who is always excited to show her new friends her backyard toys. I also am a big walker and enjoy taking dogs walking in my neighborhood for a mile or two at a time. I do not walk multiple dogs together, as I want to give each dog what they need from their outside time. We are very social people and routinely have friends come by the house. My dog loves extra love but we are happy to accommodate the needs of your fur baby while they are with us!
“Britt enjoyed her stay with Ashley! Ashley was very organized and kept us updated with just enough pics and notes to ensure we felt at ease with Britt in her care. We will definitely return!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Samyou and her family! She was incredibly communicative, sending regular updates, pictures and videos. I could see that Lilah was relaxed and having fun. Samyou followed instructions for feeding and visits outside. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that she was being well taken care of. Thank you, Samyou and family, you have my highest recommendation.”

“Daisy had an amazing stay at Daria’s - she was right at home there! We’re so grateful for the attention and care Daria provided Daisy. I’m pretty sure Daisy misses her already.”

“Dianne was so caring to our Teddy.. She is a kind hearted human and she took such good care of Teddy. She genuinely care and you can feel it the moment you see her. Thank you so much Dianne!”

“Kelly was fantastic to work with and was very responsive to my texts. She regularly updated me about our dog while we were away and gave him the attention needed so that he could feel secure while being away from us. Highly recommend Kelly and will use her again!”
“Susie had so much fun! She enjoyed the walks and time outside plus all the hugs and kisses. Wonderful communication, pictures and they took great care of her.”

“Ashley was an AMAZING sitter!! She and her family took great care of my cattle dog mix (who still has a lot of puppy energy). Ashley sent me photos and updates, and quickly responded to my questions. She and her family were also kind enough to meet with me and my dog beforehand and answer any questions that I had. She also went over and beyond by picking up and dropping off my dog since I do not know how to drive. My dog looked so happy when she came back home, so I can tell that she was well loved and had a lot of fun! This was my first time using Rover, and I will most definitely book Ashley again in the future (especially since I have to travel frequently for work)! I would highly recommend Ashley as a sitter. Thank you so much, Ashley!”

“Sarah was absolutely amazing!! She treated our dog like her own and sent multiple updates a day which made us so comfortable knowing he was in good hands! She also followed our instructions on diet, how/when to walk him, etc. I will definitely use Sarah again!!”

“You won't go wrong in choosing Michelle! She has the calm energy that you want for your dog and understands how they behave. Her daughter is fabulous in taking care of them as well. Michelle provided photos daily too. Rainier loved it at their place and came home exhausted. Took two days to recover from his fun! Don't hesitate to book as Diamond their dog is so loving, calm, patient, and beautiful soul. We wanted to bring her home with us too💕”

“Martine and Ronald took great care of my dog and sent plenty of updates! My dog was very excited to see them again after we did a meet n greet and i know he was well taken care of. It put me at ease knowing he was in great hands.”

“Baylor was welcomed and appeared comfortable during her stay, and I appreciated the sitter’s flexibility with pickup. There were some supervision concerns, and she became sick after getting into another dog’s food, but she has since recovered.”

Cary pet parents share their Rover experiences
We boarded our dog Toby with Michelle while we were on vacation and she was just flat out amazing. She gave us multiple updates everyday we were gone. Her puppy Diamond is the sweetest pup in the world as well and got along with Toby amazingly. She answered every question promptly and was thorough with her answers and inquiries. We can’t wait to have her watch Toby again, we know he had an absolute blast with her and it made us feel like Toby also had a vacation.

Liz was great for our weekend away! I could tell our dog was calm and happy when we picked him up- probably picking up on Liz’s calm energy. I love how she only takes one dog at a time- that made me feel quite at ease. She sent pictures to keep us updated and helped our dog feel right at home in her space. We have her booked again for next month!

We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog Nala received! From the moment we met Dana, it was clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them like family. She kept us updated throughout the stay with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. One of the sweetest parts was seeing how well Nala got along with her dog, Marvel. They became such good buddies and would even snuggle together for naps, which was absolutely adorable and made us feel even better knowing Nala was so comfortable and happy there. Nala came home relaxed, happy, and clearly very well cared for. Communication was always prompt and professional, and scheduling was easy. We’ve already booked future stays and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter. Thank you again for taking such great care of Nala!

Claire is just wonderful. She loves my dogs. You can tell. She gives them treats, fresh water, outside time, and joy rides to the park. She even was able to work with me when I had to last minute change my drop off time to a little bit later. I will definitely be using her again. Thank you for taking such good care of them!!

Ashley was a wonderful dog sitter for Bodie! She was very easy to communicate with. And Ashley kept me informed on how he was doing while in her care. I Loved the pics she sent, and I was reassured that our dog was happy and in good hands. He came home content, and tired from all the play he had with Ashley's sweet dogs. I highly recommend Ashley for dog sitting.
