“Loved Carol! She stopped by to take care of our two kitties while we were out of town. She was very helpful and communicative, and we would love to have her watch them next time we’re gone too. Thank you, Carol!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from 8-week-old puppies to senior dogs. I am confident in reading canine body language and staying attentive to my surroundings to ensure every pet remains safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care. I have experience caring for dogs with special needs, including blind dogs and dogs with food aggression. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and closely following each pet's individual routine and requirements. As the owner of German Shorthaired Pointers, I am very familiar with high-energy breeds and enjoy providing plenty of exercise through walks, runs, playtime, and enrichment activities. I am comfortable keeping active dogs mentally and physically engaged. I also have experience administering oral medications and caring for pets recovering from surgery. Through caring for my own dogs after surgical procedures, I have become familiar with managing bandages, monitoring wounds, using cones, and following recovery instructions to help pets heal safely. I work full-time in Fuquay-Varina with a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate many pet care needs throughout the week. For drop-in visits and walks, I am typically available before work, during breaks (for pets located near my office), and in the evenings after work. My days often start early and end later in the evening, giving me additional flexibility compared to a traditional 9-to-5 schedule. On weekends, my availability is much more open, allowing me to spend extended time with your pets rather than just brief visits. I always do my best to work with each pet owner's schedule and ensure their pets receive reliable, attentive care. I am happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, where they can stay in a familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. I offer drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of attention and companionship while you're away. At this time, I do not offer boarding or pet care in my own home. I find that many pets are most comfortable in their own space, and I enjoy providing care where they feel safe and secure. My goal is to ensure your pets receive dependable, loving care and that you have peace of mind while you're away.
“Audrey was great with my two kitties. I’m glad I was able to meet her before going out of town. I had never used rover before so I was a little nervous. She was super sweet and I could immediately tell she’s an animal lover. I loved getting pictures of my cats each time she came to check on them. I’ll definitely be contacting Audrey again if I need to!”

About: I grew up with an animal loving parent who taught me the value of respecting and caring for animals. She always had multiple dogs and cats in our house that I aided in the care for. As an adult I now have my own two cats! I work from home doing a very laid back IT job that gives me plenty of free time. I can be very flexible with my schedule. As long as there is a stable internet connection I can stay for long periods of time. My work hours are Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. I only request to arrive at the location either before 9 AM or after 5 PM My cats live inside and I make sure to give them all the attention and play that ask for as well as keeping their environment enriched. They are on a feeding schedule of three meals a day including one treat and lots of cuddles!!
About: I have had all kinds of pets since I was 5 years old. I am available all the time. I am a stay at home mom my kids love animals too. I will treat your baby like it was my own. We will play, go on walks, feedings, and I will eve bath them if you want me to. They will go back home nice and clean. You can relax knowing your loving pet is in good hands and is well taken care of. If there is any other thing you would like me to do all you need to do is ask and I will let you know. I can also take them to the vets for you too. So that way you can relax
“Kayley did great with our dogs and put my mind at ease having someone to drop in and let them out during the day. When I got pictures of our normally very timid dog sitting next to her on the couch on day 1, I knew they were in good hands. We have already rebooked her for additional days!”

About: I’ve been a dog sitter for friends and family for years and always enjoy helping out! I love spending time with dogs and taking care of them! I currently work as a hair stylist 3 days a week and I have some extra time during the week to help care for your pet! I currently work part time! I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets needs! I am available for dog walking and/ or stop in visits. I am also open to doggy daycare in my home! I have a 1 year old Australian shepherd who would love to have a friend to hang out with during the day! I have a big bark yard that is not fenced and a lot of open space for your pets to run, play, go potty, and enjoy the fresh air
“Great friend to our dog! Brittany gives good reports of her visits and makes sure your pet is cared for and attended to properly. Our dog is always happy to have her checkin on him.”

“I scheduled a total of 7 drop in visits with Angela while my dog’s regular sitter was out of town and couldn’t have been happier with how well she took care of him! My dog is pretty shy with new people, but took to her really quickly and I was shocked that he let her walk him within a few visits. She clearly has a way with dogs and was also reliable and communicative with all bookings. I will definitely schedule with Angela again!”

About: I've been caring for pets since before I was 12, I've had Cats, Dogs, and Hamsters over the years, never met a pet I didn't like. Available All Week, been searching for a stable job but no luck, so I figured why not get paid to do something I enjoy while I look for work. I'll feed, walk, and play with your pets and if you're a concerned parent then I can happily send you pictures of your pet throughout the day.
“10/10 would recommend! From the very start of our booking Ashely was respectful and professional. She met our pups beforehand which made me feel like I can go away with one less thing to worry about. Ashley was on time or early for each visit, and we enjoyed every picture update of our 2 girls. Hoping Ashley is available any time we go out of town!”

“Lauren was wonderful. She did everything we asked and took good care of our cat while we were away. She even brought a package inside that was left on our porch so it wouldn't look like we were away. Would definitely engage her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was young. I’ve had many pets of my own growing up. I have experience watching my neighbors and families dogs over the years, drop in visits, house sitting etc. I am currently a Veterinary Assistant and I am going to school to become a Veterinary Technician. Working as a Veterinary Assistant i’ve come in contact with Cats/Dogs of all temperaments and sizes and I am confident in my abilities to care for any animal that comes my way. I am currently working as a Veterinary Assistant. I am off Thursday and on the weekends so that would be the time I am most available to look after your fur babies. I will always treat your animals and your home with respect. You should always treat others and their things how you would like to be treated and that is the moto I will live by when watching over your beloved pets.
“My partner and I went on a two week long trip and we needed someone to check in on our two cats while we were away. Caroline did a fantastic job making sure our cats were set with clean litter, food, and water and she also took the time to keep them company, play with them, and to give them treats. She was communicative, very flexible, and gave us detailed report cards and pictures! We had no worries during our travels and would highly recommend her to others in need of check-ins.”

“Natasha came right over at 11:30 at night when we had an urgent need for someone to check on our dog. She was great with him in an unplanned situation where things were not set up for success as I typically would have them, and even took a few minutes to clean up some of his mess from earlier in the evening. I’m so grateful to have someone reliable that I can call on in an emergency or planned absence!”

“Emma has been an absolute blessing. From day one, it was clear how much she genuinely love animals. She is dependable, communicative, and go above and beyond every single time. Our pups get so excited when she arrives-which says everything. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our dog is not only getting exercise, but also love, attention, and exceptional care. Finding someone you trust with your fur baby is priceless, and we truly hit the jackpot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and professional!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lillington
She was wonderful with Moonie and Cobain! Great communication throughout the stay. She let me know right away when Cobain wasn't feeling well and kept a close eye on him after. I felt completely at ease having her watch them. Would book again without hesitation!

Emily was excellent for my boys! She went out of her way and certainly went above and beyond for them! I have an extremely shy dog who did really well with her, and they both seemed very happy throughout each visit and when we arrived home. The notes and images were great during each drop in visit/walk. I 100% recommend and would definitely book her again in the future!

I can't recommend Christy enough as a pet sitter. She cared for my dogs very well. One is old and the other is timid, both have anxiety when they have to be boarded. They instantly took to her, and receiving the updates and multitude of pictures each time gave me peace and comfort knowing they were well. 5 stars all the way

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Lillington with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
